 STAFF HAS REVIEWED THE ZONING AND LAND DEVELOPMENT
 REGULATIONS FOR THE ABOVE REFERENCED PETITION AND
 PROVIDES THE FOLLOWING COMMENTS:
  
  
 1. PLEASE PROVIDE A MITIGATION CHART TO SHOW HOW TREES
 PROPOSED TO BE REMOVED WOULD BE MITIGATED. EACH SITE
 WOULD REQUIRE A SEPARATE REMOVAL AND MITIGATION PLAN,
 INCLUDING THE CITY OWNED PARK.
  
 2. PLEASE EXPLAIN THE NEED TO REMOVE TREE #35 THAT IS
 LOCATED ON THE ADJACENT PROPERTY.
  
 3. PLEASE PROVIDE THE CALCULATIONS FOR REQUIRED SHADE
 TREES, FLOWERING TREES AND SHRUBS USING THE REQUIRED
 40% OPEN SPACE OF THE ENTIRE SITE.
  
 4. PLEASE PROVIDE CALCULATIONS FOR ALL BUFFERS FOR
 REQUIRED SHADE TREES PER 94-443(B) (4) AND (5), AND
 PROVIDE ON THE LANDSCAPE PLAN.
  
 5. PLEASE ADD TREES AND PROVIDE LANDSCAPE AREAS AT
 LEAST 5 FEET IN WIDTH AT THE END OF EACH ROW OF PARKING
 PER SECTION 94-443 (C) (3) A.
  
 6. PLEASE PROVIDE CALCULATIONS TO SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH
 SECTION 94-443 (C)(3) AND (4) FOR THE LANDSCAPE AREAS
 WITHIN THE PARKING AND PAVED AREAS, INCLUDING REQUIRED
 NUMBER OF SHADE TREES.
  
 7. PLEASE PROVIDE THE WATER NEEDS CATEGORY FOR EACH
 SPECIES ON THE PLANT LIST FROM THE SFWMD WATERWISE
 GUIDE TO SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH FLORIDA FRIENDLY
 LANDSCAPING PER 94-442 (G).
  
 8. PLEASE REVISE THE LANDSCAPE AND ENGINEERING PLANS TO
 AVOID CONFLICTS BETWEEN LANDSCAPING AND WATER, SEWER,
 DRAINAGE, LIGHTING AND FPL EQUIPMENT. PLEASE SHOW
 LOCATIONS OF ALL UTILITIES AND EASEMENTS CLEARLY LABEL
 THEM ON THE LANDSCAPE PLAN.
  
 9. PLEASE INCLUDE A ROOT BARRIER DETAIL AND SHOW
 LOCATIONS OF ROOT BARRIERS TO PROTECT INFRASTRUCTURE
 AND TREES FROM CONFLICTS. THIS INCLUDES WATER, SEWER,
 DRAINAGE, SIDEWALKS AND CURBS, AND ANY FIELD STRUCTURES
 THAT COULD BE IMPACTED BY TREE ROOTS.
  
 10. PLEASE SHOW LOCATIONS OF MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT SUCH
 AS A/C COMPRESSORS FOR THE GUARD SHACK, ETC., AND
 PROVIDE SCREENING FOR ALL GROUND MOUNTED EQUIPMENT AND
 UTILITIES.
  
 11. PLEASE ADDRESS WHAT WILL BE DONE WITH THE OVERHEAD
 POWER LINES AND POLES THAT CURRENTLY RUN ALONG THE REAR
 OF THE EXISTING PROPERTIES, AS THIS MAY AFFECT THE
 SPECIES OF TREES THAT ARE PROPOSED FOR THE BUFFER.
  
 12. JATROPHA INTERRIGMA DOES NOT QUALIFY AS A TREE.
 PLEASE PROVIDE A SPECIES THAT QUALIFIES AS A TREE
 GROWING AT LEAST 15 FEET TALL BY 15 FEET WIDE.
 PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION MAY BE
 REQUESTED, AND STAFF MAY HAVE ADDITIONAL COMMENTS AS
 THE REVIEW PROCESS CONTINUES.
  
 CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL
 1. PRIOR TO THE REMOVAL OR RELOCATION OF ANY TREES ON
 THE PROPERTY, A TREE ALTERATION PERMIT SHALL BE
 SUBMITTED, REVIEWED AND APPROVED BY THE DEVELOPMENT
 SERVICES DEPARTMENT, PLANNING DIVISION.
