 ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT
  
 THE FOLLOWING COMMENTS MUST BE ADDRESSED PRIOR TO
 ISSUANCE OF CONSTRUCTION AUTHORIZATION INCLUDING
 BUILDING PERMITS AND ENGINEERING DEVELOPMENT APPROVAL.
  
 1. PLEASE SUBMIT ESTIMATES FOR THE SOLID WASTE
 COLLECTION YARDAGE.
  
 2. AS PREVIOUSLY REQUESTED, PROVIDE AN AUTOTURN
 ANALYSIS DEMONSTRATING THE SOLID WASTE COLLECTION
 VEHICLE CAN ACCESS THE PROPOSED DUMPSTER / COMPACTOR
 LOCATIONS AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF THE PROPERTY AND
 WITHIN THE PARKING GARAGE. THE TRASH
 DUMPSTER/COMPACTORS MUST LOCATED IN AREAS EASILY
 SERVICED BY THE CITY SANITATION EQUIPMENT AND MANPOWER
 PER SECTION 74-35(A)(5) OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES. IF A
 ROLL-OFF COMPACTOR IS PROPOSED, PLEASE PROVIDE A LETTER
 FROM THE PRIVATE PROVIDER VERIFYING THAT THEY CAN
 PROVIDE SERVICE WITH THE CONFIGURATION SHOWN ON THE
 PLANS.
  
 3. DETAILS SHEETS WILL NEED TO UTILIZE STANDARD CITY OF
 WEST PALM BEACH DETAILS, WHICH MAY BE DOWNLOADED AT
 HTTP://WPB.ORG/ENGINEERING/FORMS-AND-PUBLICATIONS/
  
 4. PLEASE SHOW THE SIGHT TRIANGLES ON THE GROUND FLOOR
 LANDSCAPING PLAN FOR THE INTERSECTIONS AND VEHICULAR
 EXITS. (SECTION 94-305E, CODE OF ORDINANCES)
  
 5. EXISTING UTILITY SERVICE LINES, IF NOT UTILIZED BY
 THE SITE REDEVELOPMENT, ARE TO BE REMOVED BACK TO THE
 MAIN. (SECTION 2.23 OF THE CITY RIGHT OF WAY
 CONSTRUCTION STANDARDS MANUAL) PLEASE ADD THE
 APPROPRIATE NOTES TO THE CONSTRUCTION PLAN.
  
 6. AS MENTIONED IN OUR ORIGINAL COMMENTS, PLEASE
 RELOCATE THE PROPOSED MASTER METER ADJACENT TO PUBLIC
 RIGHT-OF-WAY. ON-SITE SUB-METERS WILL REQUIRE APPROVAL
 FROM CITY UTILITIES CUSTOMER SERVICE DIVISION.
  
 7. AS MENTIONED IN OUR ORIGINAL COMMENTS, PER SECTION
 2.21.2 OF THE CITY RIGHT OF WAY STANDARDS MANUAL,
 PROJECTS WHICH DISTURB 40% OR MORE OF A ROADWAY (LINEAR
 FOOTAGE) PER BLOCK WILL BE REQUIRED TO MILL AND
 RESURFACE THE ENTIRE BLOCK. PLEASE INCLUDE MILLING AND
 RESURFACING OF THE HAMPTON ROAD ON THE CONSTRUCTION
 PLANS.
  
 8. PLEASE REVISE THE DRIVEWAY APRONS ON THE ALLEY TO
 MEET THE CITY?S ENGINEERING DESIGN STANDARDS. AN
 EXCEPTION TO THE STANDARD MAY BE REQUESTED. HTTP://WPB.

 9. PLEASE ELIMINATE THE EASTERN DRIVEWAY ON HAMPTON.
 THE PROPOSED ENTRANCE IS DOES NOT MEET THE MINIMUM
 DISTANCES LISTED IN SECTION 94-313(2) OF THE CITY?S
 CODE OF ORDINANCES.
  
 10. PLEASE RE-EVALUATE THE PARKING CIRCULATION PLAN.
 THE SOUTHEASTERN RETAIL PARKING APPEARS TO UTILIZE
 HAMPTON AVENUE AS PART OF THE INTERNAL CIRCULATION
 PLAN.
  
 11. PLEASE CHECK THE RESIDENTIAL PARKING TOTALS. IN THE
 PARKING GARAGE, THE PLANS SHOW 269 PARKING SPOTS ON
 LEVEL 1 AND 288 SPOTS ON LEVEL 2 (557 SPOTS). SOME OF
 THESE SPOTS WILL NEED TO BE ELIMINATED TO COMPLY WITH
 CODE OF ORDINANCES SECTION 94-111, WHICH REQUIRED A
 MINIMUM 3 FT BACK UP AREA AT THE TERMINUS OF ANY
 DEAD-END DRIVE AISLE PLUS THE EQUIVALENT OF ONE PARKING
 SPACE AS A DEDICATE PULL-IN AREA FOR TURNING AROUND.
 THE PARKING CALCULATIONS SHOW THAT 625 SPACES WILL BE
 PROVIDED IN THE GARAGE.
  
 12. THE PLAN ALSO SHOWS 24 SURFACE PARKING SPOTS ON
 SOUTH DIXIE. HAVE THESE SPOTS BEEN APPROVED BY FDOT?
  
 13. PLEASE ADD STREET NAMES TO ALL PLANS.
  
 14. PLEASE PROVIDE UTILITY CROSSING INFORMATION.
  
 15. PLEASE PROVIDE FIRE HYDRANT FLOW TEST DATA FROM
 EXISTING FIRE HYDRANT ON S DIXIE HWY.
  
 16. PLEASE LABEL UTILITY PIPE SIZE AND MATERIAL.
  
 17. PLEASE MOVE THE PROPOSED DDCV, REDUCER ASSEMBLY,
 AND METER VAULT CLOSER TO THE POINT OF
 CONNECTION/ROADWAY R/W.
  
 18. PLEASE PROVIDE ENGINEERING/MEP CALCULATION FOR THE
 PROPOSED 8? WM SIZING ON HAMPTON ROAD.
  
 19. PLEASE PROVIDE PROFILE OF THE PROPOSED 8" WM FROM
 THE TAP/POINT OF CONNECTION ON S DIXIE @ HAMPTON ROAD
 TO THE METER VAULT. PLEASE CALL OUT THE POINT OF
 SERVICE (WATER).
  
 20. PLEASE SHOW THE EXISTING 6" WM ON HAMPTON ROAD. IT
 IS THE CITY'S PREFERENCE NOT TO HAVE PARALLEL WATER
 MAINS AND WILL BE REVIEWING THE NEED FOR MAINTAINING
 (2) ACTIVE MAINS ON HAMPTON ROAD.
  
 21. PLEASE LABEL THE SIZE AND MATERIAL OF EXISTING
 WATER MAIN AND WATER SERVICE CONNECTIONS ON S DIXIE
 HWY. RECORD INFORMATION INDICATES THAT THE EXISTING
 WATER MAIN ON S DIXIE IS 8" CIP.
  
 22. PLEASE PROVIDE ENGINEERING/MEP CALCULATION FOR THE
 PROPOSED 8? GRAVITY MAIN SIZING ON HAMPTON ROAD.
  
 23. PLEASE CALL OUT THE POINT OF SERVICE (SEWER). CCTV
 RECORD (VIDEO AND TV LOG) OF THE PROPOSED SAN SEWER
 MAIN WITHIN THE ROADWAY R/W WILL BE REQUIRED AS PART OF
 THE PROJECT CLOSE-OUT SUBMITTAL.
  
 GENERAL COMMENTS
  
 1. PRELIMINARY, UPDATED FEMA FLOOD INSURANCE MAPS ARE
 AVAILABLE AT HTTP://WWW.CO.PALM-BEACH.FL.US/NEWSROOM/08
 14/08-26-14-FLOOD_MAPS.HTM. PLEASE REVIEW THE MAPS AND
 VERIFY THAT THE NEW MAPS WILL NOT IMPACT THE PROPOSED
 PROJECT.
  
 2. FDOT APPROVAL WILL BE REQUIRED FOR THE DRAINAGE AND
 DRIVEWAY CONNECTIONS OFF OF DIXIE.
  
 THE FOLLOWING COMMENTS MUST BE ADDRESSED PRIOR TO
 ISSUANCE OF CONSTRUCTION AUTHORIZATION INCLUDING
 BUILDING PERMITS AND ENGINEERING DEVELOPMENT APPROVAL.
  
 1. AN ENGINEERING DEVELOPMENT APPROVAL APPLICATION WILL
 BE REQUIRED FROM THE ENGINEERING DIVISION OF THE PUBLIC
 WORKS DEPARTMENT. THE ENGINEERING DEVELOPMENT APPROVAL
 APPLICATION FORMS CAN BE DOWNLOADED AT

 2. SOLID WASTE YARDAGE WILL NEED TO BE VERIFIED AS PART
 OF THE FINAL DESIGN TO VERIFY THAT THE DESIGN INCLUDES
 APPROPRIATE NUMBER AND SIZE OF TRASH BINS.
