 PROJECT: NAPLETON Z15120007
 JANUARY 8, 2016
 I HAVE REVIEWED THE ABOVE REFERENCED PETITION, AND
 PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING COMMENTS:
  
 1. PLEASE PROVIDE THE PERCENTAGE OF PALMS SUBSTITUTED
 FOR REQUIRED TREES ON SITE, CODE ALLOWS UP TO 35%.
  
 2. A SHADE TREE IS REQUIRED IN THE TERMINAL LANDSCAPE
 ISLAND ADJACENT TO THE MODIFIED ADA SPACES AT THE
 NORTHEAST CORNER OF THE BUILDING.
  
 3. PLEASE INDICATE HOW THE FOUR EXISTING TREES IN CLOSE
 PROXIMITY TO THE PROPOSED CAR WASH WILL BE PROTECTED
 DURING CONSTRUCTION.
  
 4. PLEASE SUBMIT A COPY OF THE PALM BEACH COUNTY
 APPROVED LANDSCAPE PLAN.
  
 5. PLEASE SHOW ALL UTILITIES INCLUDING FPL, WATER,
 SEWER, AND DRAINAGE ON THE LANDSCAPE PLAN THAT MAY BE
 PRESENT IN THE AREAS OF MODIFICATION. PLEASE PROVIDE
 SCREENING FOR ALL GROUND MOUNTED EQUIPMENT AND
 UTILITIES.
  
 6. PLEASE PROVIDE A ROOT BARRIER DETAIL AND SHOW
 LOCATIONS OF ROOT BARRIERS TO PROTECT INFRASTRUCTURE
 AND TREES FROM CONFLICTS. THIS INCLUDES WATER, SEWER,
 DRAINAGE, SIDEWALKS AND CURBS, AND ANY FIELD STRUCTURES
 THAT COULD BE IMPACTED BY TREE ROOTS.
  
 7. PLEASE PROVIDE LANDSCAPING AND SCREENING FOR ALL
 GROUND MOUNTED EQUIPMENT INCLUDING FPL, WATER AND
 PHONE/ CABLE, GENERATORS, A/C UNITS ETC.
  
 8. PLEASE CONSIDER SUBSTITUTING A DIFFERENT SPECIES FOR
 THE ONE LAUREL OAK PROPOSED. THE MAJORITY OF LAUREL
 OAKS ON SITE ARE DOING VERY POORLY, AND THE ONES
 LOCATED ALONG THE OKEECHOBEE LANDSCAPE BUFFER ARE BEING
 MAINTAINED IN AN UNHEALTHY MANNER. THIS IS AN
 OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE CHANGES TO A MORE APPROPRIATE
 SPECIES THAT WILL FIT THE SPACE BETTER AND MEET THE
 NEEDS OF THE BUSINESS FOR VISIBILITY.
  
 9. IF ANY TREES ARE TO BE REMOVED OR RELOCATED, A TREE
 ALTERATION PERMIT IS REQUIRED.
