 FIRE MARSHAL, BUREAU OF FIRE PREVENTION, WEST PALM
 BEACH FIRE RESCUE.
  
 THIS REVIEW CAN ONLY BE CONSIDERED PRELIMINARY AS THE
 DRAWINGS THAT WERE REVIEWED WERE NOT COMPLETE.
 ADDITIONAL COMMENTS CAN BE EXPECTED WHEN FULL DRAWINGS
 ARE SUBMITTED FOR PERMIT.
 THE FIRE PREVENTION BUREAU HAS NO OBJECTIONS TO THE
 PROPOSED PROJECT.
  
 1. CONSTRUCTION, DEMOLITION, AND RENOVATION TO COMPLY
 WITH NFPA 241. EXTRA ATTENTION SHALL BE GIVEN TO THE
 PERMITTING AND LOCATION OF CONSTRUCTION TRAILERS. A
 PERMIT IS REQUIRED FOR ANY CONSTRUCTION TRAILER RELATED
 TO THIS PROJECT. SEPARATION DISTANCES FROM MAIN
 STRUCTURES AS WELL AS OTHER TRAILERS SHALL BE CLOSELY
 MONITORED FOR THE REQUIREMENTS OF FIRE SPRINKLER
 PROTECTION.
  
 2. SITE ACCESS AND EXIT POINTS ARE TO BE CLEARLY
 IDENTIFIED AND MAINTAINED FOR EMERGENCY VEHICLES DURING
 ALL CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES.
  
 3. THE BUILDING ADDRESS SHALL BE CLEARLY VISIBLE FROM
 ALL ACCESS ROADWAYS, INCLUDING DURING CONSTRUCTION.
 ADDRESS NUMBERS SHALL CONTRAST WITH THEIR BACKGROUND
 AND SHALL NOT BE LESS THAN SIX (6) INCHES IN HEIGHT
 WITH A ONE (1) INCH STROKE FOR ALL BUILDINGS.
  
 4. DURING CONSTRUCTION, TRASH AND DEBRIS IS TO BE
 REMOVED FROM THE SITE DAILY OR MORE OFTEN TO REDUCE THE
 ACCUMULATION OF POTENTIAL LIFE AND FIRE SAFETY HAZARDS.
  
 5. ALL APARTMENT BUILDINGS SHALL COMPLY WITH THE
 FLORIDA FIRE PREVENTION CODE, 2012, 5TH EDITION.
  
 6. SMOKE ALARMS ARE REQUIRED IN EVERY SLEEPING ROOM AND
 OUTSIDE OF THE SLEEPING ROOMS AND IN ALL LEVELS OF THE
 DWELLING UNITS. THESE DETECTORS SHALL BE HARD WIRED AND
 SHALL BE INTERCONNECTED TO ONE ANOTHER.
  
 7. INTERIOR FINISH CLASSIFICATIONS FOR ALL WALLS AND
 CEILINGS SHALL BE CLEARLY INDICATED ON THE SUBMITTED
 BUILDING PERMIT PLAN.
  
 8. A NFPA 13 COMPLAINT FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEM IS
 REQUIRED FOR THIS STRUCTURE. TEMPORARY STANDPIPES ARE
 REQUIRED WHEN THE BUILDING REACHES THREE LEVELS OR
 THIRTY FEET WHILE BEING CONSTRUCTED. SEPARATE SHOP
 DRAWINGS, ARE REQUIRED TO BE SUBMITTED, REVIEWED AND
 APPROVED BY THE FIRE PREVENTION BUREAU PRIOR TO ANY
 INSTALLATION.
  
 9. A MONITORED FIRE ALARM SYSTEM IS REQUIRED FOR THIS
 STRUCTURE. SEPARATE SHOP DRAWINGS, ARE REQUIRED TO BE
 SUBMITTED, REVIEWED AND APPROVED BY THE FIRE PREVENTION
 BUREAU PRIOR TO ANY INSTALLATION.
  
 10. ALL VERTICAL AND HORIZONTAL FIRE SEPARATIONS FOR
 THIS BUILDING SHALL BE CLEARLY IDENTIFIED AND INDICATED
 ON THE PLANS.
  
 11. ALL FIRE RATED OPENING PROTECTIONS (FIRE DOORS AND
 HARDWARE) SHALL BE CLEARLY IDENTIFIED AND INDICATED IN
 THE DOOR SCHEDULE. ALL DOORS THAT OPEN ONTO EXIT ACCESS
 CORRIDORS SHALL BE FIRE RATED AND BE EQUIPPED WITH
 SELF-CLOSING DEVICES THAT CAUSE THE DOOR TO POSITIVELY
 LATCH WHEN CLOSED. THIS REQUIREMENT SHALL BE CLEARLY
 INDICATED AND ILLUSTRATED ON THE DOOR SCHEDULE.
  
 12. ALL EXIT DISCHARGE LOCATIONS SHALL BE CLEARLY
 ILLUSTRATED ON THE PLAN.
  
 13. ALL ILLUMINATED EXIT SIGNS AND EMERGENCY LIGHTING
 EQUIPMENT SHALL BE ILLUSTRATED ON THE PLAN.
 IF AN EMERGENCY POWER GENERATOR IS PROPOSED, WHAT IS
 (ARE) THE PRIMARY AND SECONDARY POWER SOURCES?
  
 14. REQUIRED FIRE SEPARATIONS BETWEEN EACH APARTMENT
 AND/OR TENANT SHALL BE CLEARLY INDICATED AND
 ILLUSTRATED ON THE BUILDING PLAN.
  
 15. THE BUREAU HAS SOME CONCERNS REGARDING THE SPREAD
 OF CARBON MONOXIDE TO THE UNITS ABOVE THE GARAGE
 SPACES. PLEASE PROVIDE DETAILS AS TO WHAT ELEMENTS WILL
 BE PROVIDED TO MINIMIZE THE RISK OF CARBON MONOXIDE
 EXPOSURE AND/OR THE PROVISION OF EARLY WARNING
 DETECTION.
  
 16. REQUIRED CORRIDOR FIRE RATING SHALL BE CLEARLY
 INDICATED AND ILLUSTRATED ON THE BUILDING PLAN.
  
 17. ALL EXISTING AND NEW FIRE HYDRANTS PLANNED FOR THIS
 DEVELOPMENT SHALL BE CLEARLY INDICATED AND IDENTIFIED
 ON THE PLAN AND CLOSELY COORDINATED WITH THE BUREAU OF
 FIRE PREVENTION.
  
 18. ALL FIRE DEPARTMENT SPRINKLER SYSTEM CONNECTIONS
 (FDCS) FOR THE PROJECT SHALL BE IDENTIFIED AND
 COORDINATED WITH THE BUREAU OF FIRE PREVENTION.
  
 19. ALL FIRE WATER MAINS, SIZES AND THEIR VALVE
 ASSEMBLIES SHALL BE CLEARLY IDENTIFIED AND ILLUSTRATED
 ON THE PLAN.
  
 20. THE INSTALLATION OF THE FIRE LINE AND FIRE HYDRANTS
 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF NFPA 24,
 INSTALLATION OF PRIVATE FIRE SERVICE MAINS AND THEIR
 APPURTENANCES.
  
 21. FIRE HYDRANTS
 1. 150?MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE DISTANCE FROM A FDC(FIRE
 DEPARTMENT CONNECTION) TO A FIRE HYDRANT.
 2. NORMALLY HYDRANTS SHALL BE A MINIMUM DISTANCE OF 40
 FT. FROM A BUILDING. HYDRANTS CAN BE CLOSER THAN 40 FT.
 TO A BUILDING BASED UPON A REVIEW BY THE FIRE OFFICIAL.
 3. FIRE HYDRANT SPACING:
 A. 300? SEPARATION BETWEEN HYDRANTS IN A COMMERCIAL
 ZONE.
 B. 300? TO 500? SEPARATION BETWEEN HYDRANTS IN A
 RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOOD.
 C. 1,000? SEPARATION IN UNDEVELOPED AREAS.
 4. 7.5? CLEARANCE IN FRONT AND TO THE SIDES
 (SEMI-CIRCLE) OF HYDRANTS, 4.5? BEHIND.
 5. WET FIRE HYDRANTS ARE REQUIRED PRIOR TO, DURING AND
 AFTER CONSTRUCTION.
 6. THE FOLLOWING HORIZONTAL SEPARATION REQUIREMENTS FOR
 FIRE HYDRANT DRAINS IS REQUIRED:
 A. 3? (MIN) FROM EXISTING OR PROPOSED STORM SEWER,
 SANITARY FORCE MIN, OR PIPELINE CONVEYING REGULATED
 RECLAIMED WATER.
 B. 3? (MIN) TO 10? (PREFERABLE) FROM EXISTING OR
 PROPOSED VACUUM-TYPE SANITARY SEWER.
 C. 6?(MIN) TO 1? (PREFERABLE) FROM EXISTING OR PROPOSED
 GRAVITY OR PRESSURE-TYPE SANITARY SEWER, WASTEWATER
 FORCE MAIN OR PIPELINE CONVEYING NON-REGULATED
 RECLAIMED WATER.
 D. 10?(MIN) FROM EXISTING OR PROSED ON-SITE SEWAGE
 TREATMENT AND DISPOSAL SYSTEM.
  
 7. ALL HYDRANTS TO BE MANUFACTURED TO CITY OF WEST PALM
 BEACH SPECIFICATIONS, INCLUDING IRON WEATHER CAP, PER
 W.P.B. APPROVED PRODUCTS LIST.
 8. BONNET SHALL BE PAINTED WITH REFLECTIVE COATING. ALL
 OTHER PARTS ABOVE BREAKAWAY FLANGE SHALL BE PAINTED
 SILVER, ANY OTHER PART PARTS BELOW BREAKAWAY FLANGE
 SHALL BE PAINTED BLACK. ALL PAINT MATERIALS TO BE
 SPECIFIED ON APPROVED MATERIALS LIST.
 9. FOR PROJECTS WITHIN F.D.O.T. & PALM BEACH COUNTY
 R/W: HYDRANTS TO BE LOCATED IN DEDICATED EASEMENTS
 OUTSIDE OF R/W.
 10. ALL JOINTS INCLUDING BELL AND SPIGOT SHALL BE
 RESTRAINED.
 11. IF DISTANCE BETWEEN FIRE HYDRANT AND ANCHOR TEE
 EXCEEDS 30?, ADD A SECOND VALVE 4? FROM HYDRANT.
 12. INSTALL A F.D.O.T. APPROVED BLUE R.P.M. (REFLECTIVE
 PAVEMENT MARKER) IN THE CENTER OF THE TRAVELING LANE,
 DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF HYDRANT.
  
 22. ANNUALLY, EMERGENCY INSTRUCTIONS ARE TO BE PROVIDED
 TO EACH APARTMENT AND/OR TENANT. THESE INSTRUCTIONS ARE
 TO INDICATE THE LOCATION OF ALARMS, EGRESS PATHS, AND
 ACTIONS TO BE TAKEN IN THE EVENT OF A FIRE OR ALARM
 ACTIVATION.
  
 23. ALL PARKING STRUCTURES SHALL COMPLY NFPA 101, THE
 LIFE SAFETY CODE, INCLUDING MORE SPECIFICALLY, CHAPTER
 42 STORAGE OCCUPANCIES (PARKING STRUCTURES)
  
 24. ALL PORTABLE FIRE EXTINGUISHERS LOCATIONS SHALL BE
 CLEARLY IDENTIFIED AND INDICATED ON THE PLAN.
  
 25. ALL ELEVATORS SHALL BE EQUIPPED WITH REQUIRED FD
 ACCESS.
  
 26. ANY BUILDING THAT IS MORE THAN THREE STORIES HIGH
 OR IN WHICH THE VERTICAL DISTANCE BETWEEN THE BOTTOM
 TERMINAL LANDING AND THE TOP TERMINAL LANDING EXCEEDS
 25 FEET MUST BE CONSTRUCTED TO CONTAIN AT LEAST ONE
 PASSENGER ELEVATOR THAT IS OPERATIONAL AND WILL
 ACCOMMODATE AN AMBULANCE STRETCHER 76 INCHES LONG AND
 24 INCHES WIDE IN THE HORIZONTAL POSITION.
  
 27. COMPLETE LIFE SAFETY PLANS FOR EACH OCCUPANCY SHALL
 BE PROVIDED THAT ILLUSTRATE OCCUPANT LOADS, TRAVEL
 DISTANCES, COMMON PATHS OF TRAVEL, DEAD-END CORRIDORS,
 EXIT SIGNS, EMERGENCY LIGHTING, EXITS LEADING TO A
 PUBLIC WAY, FIRE EXTINGUISHER LOCATIONS, AND ALL FIRE
 SAFETY FEATURES AND EQUIPMENT.
  
 28. OCCUPANT LOADS FOR ALL SPACES SHALL BE DETERMINED
 AND SUBMITTED WITH THE SUBMITTED PLAN AND WHEN APPROVED
 THEY ARE REQUIRED TO BE POSTED WHERE APPLICABLE.
  
 29. ROADWAY ACCESS
 1. 18? CLEARANCE FROM HYDRANTS TO ANYTHING ALONG THE
 ROADWAY, SUCH AS PARKING SPACES.
 2. FOR FIRE TRUCK ACCESS, THE MIN. DRIVEWAY WIDTH ON
 THE ENTRY DRIVE SHALL BE 20?. LESS THAN 20? ON EXIT
 DRIVE CAN BE APPROVED BY THE FIRE OFFICIAL AFTER
 REVIEW.
 3. THE MINIMUM RADIUS FOR CUL-DE-SAC DESIGNS IS 50? OF
 PAVED AREA. FOR FIRE TRUCK TURNING RADIUS, ?T? OR ?Y?
 TURN-A-ROUNDS CAN BE APPROVED BY THE FIRE OFFICIAL
 AFTER REVIEW.
 4. FIRE TRUCKS NEED TO HAVE NO LESS THAN 13.5? HIGH
 VERTICAL CLEARANCE FOR THE TRUCK TO DRIVE THROUGH AN
 OPENING. LICENSED JUSTIFYING
  
 30. NFPA 101 CHAPTER 7, MEANS OF EGRESS
 1.2.1.4.3 DOOR LEAF ENCROACHMENT
 1.2.1.4.3.1 DURING ITS SWING, ANY DOOR LEAF IN A MEANS
 OF EGRESS SHALL LEAVE NOT LESS THAN ONE-HALF OF THE
 REQUIRED WIDTH OF AN AISLE, A CORRIDOR, A PASSAGEWAY,
 OR A LANDING UNOBSTRUCTED AND SHALL NOT PROJECT NOT
 MORE THAN 7 IN. INTO THE REQUIRED WIDTH OF AN AISLE, A
 CORRIDOR, A PASSAGE WAY, OR A LANDING, WHEN FULLY OPEN,
 UNLESS BOTH OF THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS ARE MET:
 (1) THE DOOR OPENING PROVIDES ACCESS TO A STAIR IN AN
 EXISTING BUILDING.
 (2) THE DOOR OPENING MEETS THE REQUIREMENTS THAT LIMITS
 PROJECTION TO NOT MORE THAN 7 IN. INTO THE REQUIRED
 WIDTH OF THE STAIR LANDING WHEN THE DOOR LEAF IS FULLY

 MULTIUNIT RESIDENTIAL STRUCTURE OF THREE UNITS OR MORE
 WHICH USES HORIZONTAL OR VERTICAL LIGHT-FRAME
 TRUSS-TYPE CONSTRUCTION IN ANY PORTION SHALL BE MARKED
 WITH A MALTESE CROSS SIGN MEASURING 8 INCHES
 HORIZONTALLY AND 8 INCHES VERTICALLY, OF A BRIGHT RED
 REFLECTIVE COLOR. THE APPROVED SYMBOL SHALL BE PLACED
 WITHIN 24 INCHES TO THE LEFT OF THE MAIN ENTRY DOOR.
 1. STRUCTURES WITH LIGHT-FRAME TRUSS ROOFS SHALL BE
 MARKED WITH THE LETTER "R".
 2. STRUCTURES WITH LIGHT-FRAME TRUSS FLOOR SYSTEMS
 SHALL BE MARKED WITH THE LETTER "F".
 3. STRUCTURES WITH LIGHT-FRAME TRUSS FLOOR AND ROOF
 SYSTEMS SHALL BE MARKED WITH THE LETTERS "R/F".
  
 32. A KNOX KEY SYSTEMN IS REQUIRED AT ANY GATE ENTRY
 AND/OR BUILDING ACCESS POINTS.
  
 33. THE BUREAU'S APPROVAL OF THIS SUBMITTED PROJECT
