2014-09-02 09:56:05THIS REVIEW IS CONDUCTED WITH THE UNDERSTANDING THAT
 THE AAF FACILITY IT IS NOT REQUIRED TO COMPLY WITH THE
 WPB ZONING REGULATIONS DUE TO FEDERAL REGULATIONS.
 1. WHY IS THE PARKING CALCULATION INDICATED IN THE
 DRAWINGS ONLY BASED ON 13,945SF? THE TOTAL SQUARE
 FOOTAGE FOR THE STATION IS 29,272SF.
 2. PARKING STALL SHALL BE A MINIMUM OF 16' LONG WITH A
 2' CANTILEVER.
 3.PLEASE SHOW THE CONNECTION OF THE NEW ROADWAY AND
 SIDEWALK ON DATURA STREET WITH EXISTING SIDEWALK AND
 CURB.
 4. SHEET C-006 PAVING, GRADING, AND DRAINAGE PLAN:
 SECTION C-C OF THE NEW ACCESS ROAD SHOWS A 3.67' FOOT
 SIDEWALK ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE ROAD. STAFF BELIEVES
 THAT THIS SIDEWALK WIDTH IS INSUFFICIENT TO ACCOMMODATE
 THE LEVEL OF FUTURE PEDESTRIAN ACTIVITY THAT IS
 EXPECTED IN THIS AREA.
 5. SHEET C-007 PAVING, GRADING, AND DRAINAGE PLAN:
 PLEASE SHOW THE RESULTS OF AUTOTURN FOR THE LARGEST
 VEHICLE EXPECTED TO REGULARLY MAKE TURNING MOVEMENTS
 (I.E. CITY TROLLEYS) AT THE INTERSECTIONS OF THE NEW
 ACCESS ROAD WITH DATURA AND EVERNIA STREETS.
 6.PLEASE SHOW THE PROPOSED SECTION OF THE ACCESS ROAD
 NORTH OF DATURA STREET.
 7. THE PLANS DO NOT DEPICT ANY BICYCLE PARKING. PER
 PREVIOUS DISCUSSIONS WITH AAF STAFF, THE CITY WOULD
 LIKE TO HAVE BIKE PARKING IN THE VICINITY OF THE
 STATION.
 8. THE PLANS DO NOT DEPICT ANY STREETSCAPE ELEMENTS OR
 AMENITIES (I.E. BENCHES) IN THE VICINITY OF THE
 STATION. STAFF WOULD RECOMMEND THAT STREETSCAPE
 ELEMENTS BE INCORPORATED IN THE VICINITY OF THE
 STATION.
 9. PLEASE INDICATE PROPOSED LOCATION OF LIGHT FIXTURES.
 ARE YOU PROPOSING SPECIALTY FIXTURES OR THE STANDARD
 CITY FIXTURE?
 10. WHAT ARE THE PROPOSED MATERIALS FOR THE PLAZA AND
 SIDEWALKS ALONG NEW ACCESS ROAD?
 11. THE NEW ACCESS ROAD IS INDICATED AS A RAISED ROAD
 BETWEEN EVERNIA ST AND THE ALLEY. STAFF SUGGEST THE
 SPECIAL TREATMENT BE EXTENDED TO DATURA STREET, IF
 DONE.
 12. THE PLANS DEPICT A "FPL YARD - WALLED AND GATED"
 AND A "UTILITY AND TRASH YARD - WALLED AND GATED". THE
 PLANS DO NOT SHOW ANY DETAILS ON EITHER ONE OF THESE
 AREAS. ALSO, IT DOES NOT APPEAR THAT THESE AREAS WILL
 BE SCREENED WITH ANY LANDSCAPING. STAFF WOULD REQUEST
 THAT THE APPLICANT PROVIDE ELEVATIONS AND DETAILS ON
 THE WALLS AND GATES FOR THESE AREAS AND ALSO EVALUATE
 THEIR SCREENING WITH LANDSCAPING.
 13. SHEETS A-051, A-111, AND A-201 SHOW A POLE FENCE
 SURROUNDING BOTH THE EAST AND WEST PERIMETER OF THE FEC
 ROW. WHILE SHEET A-201 SHOWS AND ELEVATION OF THE POLE
 FENCE, STAFF WOULD REQUEST THAT MORE DETAILS BE
 PROVIDED FOR THE LOOK OF THIS FENCE. ALSO, IT APPEARS
 THAT SEVERAL PORTIONS OF THIS FENCE WILL NOT BE
 SCREENED WITH LANDSCAPING. STAFF WOULD SUGGEST THAT THE
 FENCE BE SCREENED WITH EXTENSIVE LANDSCAPING. IN
 GENERAL FURTHER DISCUSSIONS ARE NECESSARY TO ADVANCE
 THE DESIGN OF THE PEDESTRIAN ENVIRONMENT AROUND THE
 STATION.
 14. SHEET A-111 SHOWS FENCE ON WEST SIDE LOCATED 4'
 INSIDE THE FEC ROW. CAN THE FENCE ON EAST SIDE BE
 LOCATED AT THE SAME DISTANCE FROM THE EASTERN TRACKS TO
 ALLOW FOR ADDITIONAL ROOM FOR LANDSCAPING ALONG
 QUADRILLE?
 15. WHAT TYPE OF PLANTING AREA OR TREE GRATES ARE
 PROPOSED FOR THE POINCIANA TREES?
 16. LANDSCAPE DRAWINGS DO NOT SHOW POINCIANAS ON THE
 EAST SIDE OF ROAD BETWEEN ALLEY AND DATURA ALONG
 ON-STREET PARKING, OR ON THE WEST SIDE OF ROAD SOUTH OF
 THE ALLEY. IS THERE A PARTICULAR REASON FOR THIS TREE
 GAP?
 17. THE POINCIANAS SHOWN ON THE WEST SIDE OF ROAD NORTH
 OF ALLEY ARE ON PRIVATE PROPERTY.
 18. THERE IS AN EXISTING SIDEWALK ON THE EAST SIDE OF
 THE CITY GARAGE. WHAT IS THE DISTANCE FROM THAT
 SIDEWALK TO THE NEW TRACKS? DOES IT NEED TO BE REMOVED?
 WILL IT BE REPLACED WITH LANDSCAPE?
 19. AS INDICATED ON LA-1, SOME ON-STREET PARKING SPACES
 WILL NEED TO BE REMOVED. ANY REMOVAL OF ON-STREET
 PARKING WILL REQUIRE THE PAYMENT OF A PARKING REMOVAL
 FEE.
 20. IS THE EXISTING ALLEY GOING TO REMAIN OPEN TO THE
 PUBLIC AS A PUBLIC ROW? IS IT GOING TO BE
 RESTORED/REPAVED FOR USE? THE EAST END OF ALLEY IS
 SHOWN WITH A PEDESTRIAN CROSSING (C-007).
 21. PLEASE INDICATE THE EXACT LOCATION OF THE NEW
 CROSSING ARMS ON CLEMATIS STREET AND FERN STREET.
 22. PLEASE INDICATE THE PROPOSED LOCATION FOR THE
 DECORATIVE ELEMENTS SLAVAGED FROM THE DATURA BUILDING.
 23. DRAWINGS DO NOT INDICATE ANY AREA FOR THE POTENTIAL
 LOCATION FOR THE PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE AT EVERNIA STREET.
