 - WHEN RESUBMITTING, PLEASE PROVIDE A MINIMUM OF FIVE
 (5) PAPER COPIES AND AN ELECTRONIC COPY IN .PDF FORMAT
 OF ALL PLANS. PLEASE NOTE THAT CHANGES ON THE
 RESUBMITTED PLANS OR THE SUBMITTAL OF INFORMATION/PLANS
 TO ADDRESS THE COMMENTS MAY RESULT IN ADDITIONAL
 COMMENTS.
  
 - PLEASE NOTE THAT IF THE PLANNING DIVISION HAS NOT
 RECEIVED A RESPONSE TO THE PPRC COMMENTS WITHIN 60 DAYS
 FROM THE DATE OF THESE COMMENTS (BY OCTOBER 7, 2014),
 THE CASE SHALL BE CONSIDERED WITHDRAWN. ANY FURTHER
 ACTION SHALL REQUIRE A NEW DEVELOPMENT APPLICATION.
  
 - PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU WILL BE PERMITTED ONE (1)
 RESUBMITTAL AT NO ADDITIONAL COST. IF PREVIOUSLY-ISSUED
 COMMENTS CONTINUE TO NOT BE SUFFICIENTLY ADDRESSED, THE
 APPLICANT WILL BE ACCESSED A RESUBMITTAL FEE. SUCH FEE
 WILL BE 20% OF THE ORIGINAL APPLICATION FEE ($60).
  
 1) THE MINOR AMENDMENT AND THE BUILDING PERMIT HAVE
 DIFFERENT SQUARE FOOTAGES FOR THE VARIOUS ELEMENTS
 WITHIN THE HOTEL LISTED BELOW. THE PLANS SHALL MATCH.
  
 2) THE PLANS INDICATE A VEHICLE ACCESS TO THE BALLROOM
 ENTRANCE, INCLUDING A MODIFICATION TO THE CURB. PLEASE
 DESCRIBE WHAT THIS IS FOR AND HOW IT WILL OPERATE (EX.
 WILL TRUCKS DRIVE UP THE CURB AND BLOCK THE SIDEWALK
 WHILE UNLOADING)?
  
 3) THE HOTEL SOUTH ELEVATION DRAWINGS SHOW GROUND COVER
 AND TREES THAT DO NOT EXIST ON THE LANDSCAPE PLAN.
 PLEASE PROVIDE ELEVATION DRAWINGS WITH THE VEGETATION
 LAYER TURNED OFF.
  
 4) VERIFY THAT THE GATES IN THE GARAGE ARE CONFIGURED
 TO OPERATE FROM BOTH DIRECTIONS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
 CITY COMMISSION APPROVAL. THE GATE PLACEMENT IN
 RELATIONSHIP TO THE RF ID READERS DOES NOT LOOK LIKE IT
 ALLOWS REVERSE TRAFFIC FLOW.
  
 5) ADD A NOTE TO THE GARAGE PLANS STATING THAT A SIGN
 WILL BE INSTALLED AT THE RAMP UP TO THE SECOND LEVEL TO
 NOTIFY HC DRIVERS THAT NO ADA PARKING IS AVAILABLE PAST
 THAT POINT.
  
 6) THE NORTH AND EAST ELEVATIONS OF THE GARAGE SHOW A
 LOW WALL IN FRONT OF THE EASTERNMOST ADA ENTRY TO THE
 GARAGE THAT IS NOT SHOWN ON THE SITE PLAN, THE CIVIL
 PLAN, THE LANDSCAPE PLAN OR THE HARDSCAPE PLAN. WHY IS
 THE WALL HERE? IT APPEARS TO BE IN THE LANDSCAPE BUFFER
 AND SERVING NO PURPOSE. AS SHOWN, THIS PRESENTS AN AREA
 THAT DOES NOT HAVE NATURAL SURVEILLANCE.
  
 7) PLEASE PROVIDE DETAILS (PREFERABLY INCLUDING GARAGE
 EXAMPLE PHOTOS) OF THE CABLE GUARDRAILS WITH FABRIC
 SCREEN.
  
 8) PLEASE EXPLAIN HOW THE CABLE GUARDRAILS WITH FABRIC
 SCREEN WILL PROVIDE A BETTER SHIELDING OF THE CAR
 HEADLIGHTS THAN A MASONRY WALL.
  
 9) THE SIDEWALK LOCATED ON THE EAST SIDE OF THE GARAGE
 IS ONLY 36 INCHES WIDE, WHICH REQUIRES PASSING ZONES
 FOR HANDICAP PEDESTRIANS. IF ONLY ONE PASSING ZONE IS
 REQUIRED, THEN REMOVE THE BENCHES AND USE THAT AREA AS
 A PASSING ZONE. PROVIDE THE DIMENSION OF THE PASSING
 ZONE TO VERIFY COMPLIANCE WITH THE ADA MINIMUM
 REQUIREMENTS.
  
 SPECIAL EVENT VALET PARKING
 10) THE PARKING SPACES FOR NORMAL OPERATIONS IN THE
 CENTER OF LEVEL 2 INCLUDE WHEEL STOPS FOR THE PARKING
 SPACES. THE SPECIAL EVENT LAYOUT SHOWS PARKING SPACES
 WHERE THE WHEEL STOPS ARE. PLEASE EXPLAIN HOW THIS WILL
 FUNCTION, ESPECIALLY IN LIGHT OF THE WHEEL STOPS BEING
 ATTACHED TO THE GARAGE ON REBAR POSTS WITH EPOXY TO THE
 DECK. PLEASE NOTE THAT IF THE WHEEL STOPS ARE TO BE
 REMOVED, A LOCATION OF SUFFICIENT SIZE WILL NEED TO BE
 DESIGNATED FOR THEIR STORAGE AND A POST EVENT
 REPLACEMENT PLAN IS REQUIRED. PLEASE NOTE THAT WHEEL
 STOPS ARE ONLY NEEDED TO PROTECT THE BUILDING,
 INCLUDING THE CANOPY SUPPORT POSTS, AND MECHANICAL
 SYSTEMS SUCH AS DRAIN PIPES, AND ARE NOT REQUIRED TO
 SEPARATE THE HEAD TO HEAD PARKING SPACES.
  
 11) THE PROPOSED LAYOUT OF THE PARKING SPACES CAUSE
 MULTIPLE UNUSABLE SPACES. STAFF HAS LISTED EXAMPLES
 BELOW. THE COMPLETE LAYOUT SHALL BE REVIEWED TO VERIFY
 NO PROBLEMS.
  
 A. SPACE 289 ENCROACHES INTO THE REQUIRED 24 FOOT WIDE
 DRIVE AISLE BEHIND ADA SPACE 245 AND THUS SHALL BE
 REMOVED.
  
 B. PARKING SPACES 602-610 AND 613-615 DO NOT FUNCTION
 AS THEY ARE BLOCKED ON EITHER END BY THE CANOPY SUPPORT
 POSTS.
  
 C. THE PARALLEL SPACES AT THE END OF EACH ROW LOOK VERY
 DIFFICULT, IF NOT IMPOSSIBLE TO PARK IN.
  
 LIGHTING
  
 12) LIGHT POLES SHALL BE A UNIFORM 17 FEET ABOVE GRADE
 AT THE CENTER OF THE LIGHT SOURCE IN ACCORDANCE WITH
 THE CITY'S DOWNTOWN STREETSCAPE REQUIREMENTS. THIS IS
 THE HEIGHT OF THE DECORATIVE STREET LIGHTING IN THE
 REST OF CITYPLACE.
  
 13) THE ELEVATION DETAIL FOR LIGHT ELA DOES NOT MATCH
 THE DETAILS PROVIDED FOR THAT LIGHT ON THE
 MANUFACTURER'S WEBSITE. THE WEBSITE SHOWS THE FIXTURE
 AS 19 INCHES TALL WHILE THE ELEVATION DETAIL SHOWS THE
 FIXTURE AS 38 INCHES TALL. PLEASE RECTIFY THIS
 DISCREPANCY AS WELL AS CORRECT THE POLE HEIGHT IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH COMMENT 12, ABOVE. ALTERNATIVELY
 PROVIDE THE SAME LIGHTS AND POLES THAT ARE USED IN
 CITYPLACE.
  
 14) THE ELA LIGHTS ALONG THE WEST SIDE OF THE GARAGE
 ARE SHOWN IN THE RIGHT-OF-WAY. IS THIS INTENDED? A
 RIGHT-OF-WAY PERMIT IS REQUIRED PRIOR TO THE
 INSTALLATION.
  
 15) THE ELEVATION DETAIL FOR LIGHT ELH DOES NOT MATCH
 THE DETAILS PROVIDED FOR THAT LIGHT ON THE
 MANUFACTURER?S WEBSITE. THE WEBSITE SHOWS THE FIXTURE
 AS 42 INCHES TALL. THIS SHALL BE REFLECTED ON THE
 DETAILS.
  
 16) THE SIDEWALK ALONG THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE HOTEL IS
 BEING REMOVED AND RECONSTRUCTED AS PART OF THE HOTEL
 DEVELOPMENT. AS PART OF THE RECONSTRUCTION OF THE
 SIDEWALK AND INSTALLATION LANDSCAPE, THE EXISTING LIGHT
 POLES SHALL BE REPLACED IN CONFORMANCE WITH THE LIGHT
 POLES APPROVED AS PART OF THIS MINOR AMENDMENT.
  
 17) THE CITYPLACE DRI REQUIRES THAT ENERGY EFFICIENT
 LIGHTING BE INSTALLED. THIS HAS BEEN ACHIEVED THROUGH
 THE USE OF THE PROPOSED LED FIXTURES FOR THE EXTERNAL
 LIGHTING. HOWEVER; THE GARAGE IS USING FLORESCENT
 TUBES, WHICH DO NOT PROVIDE THE ENERGY EFFICIENCY THAT
 LED LAMPS DO. WHY ARE LEDS NOT BEING USED IN THE
 GARAGE?
  
 18) HOW WILL THE FIXTURES BE MOUNTED TO THE UNDERSIDE
 OF THE CANOPY TENTS? PLEASE PROVIDE A CROSS SECTION.
 THE CROSS SECTION SHALL INCLUDE THE METHOD TO KEEP
 LIGHT GLARE FROM SPILLING ONTO THE ADJACENT
 RIGHTS-OF-WAY AND THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE RESIDENTIAL
