 FIRE MARSHAL:
  
 THIS REVIEW CAN ONLY BE CONSIDERED PRELIMINARY AS THE
 DRAWINGS THAT WERE REVIEWED WERE NOT COMPLETE.
 ADDITIONAL COMMENTS CAN BE EXPECTED WHEN FULL DRAWINGS
 ARE SUBMITTED FOR PERMIT.
  
 1. CONSTRUCTION, DEMOLITION, AND RENOVATION TO COMPLY
 WITH NFPA 241.
  
 2. SITE ACCESS AND EXIT POINTS ARE TO BE CLEARLY
 IDENTIFIED AND MAINTAINED FOR EMERGENCY VEHICLES DURING
 ALL CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES.
  
 3. THE BUILDING ADDRESS SHALL BE CLEARLY VISIBLE FROM
 ALL ACCESS ROADWAYS, INCLUDING DURING CONSTRUCTION.
 ADDRESS NUMBERS SHALL CONTRAST WITH THEIR BACKGROUND
 AND SHALL NOT BE LESS THAN SIX (6) INCHES IN HEIGHT
 WITH A ONE (1) INCH STROKE FOR ALL BUILDINGS.
  
 4. TRASH AND DEBRIS IS TO BE REMOVED FROM THE SITE
 DAILY OR MORE OFTEN TO REDUCE THE ACCUMULATION OF
 POTENTIAL LIFE AND FIRE SAFETY HAZARDS.
  
 5. THE PROPOSED PROJECT CONSTRUCTION SHALL COMPLY WITH
 THE FLORIDA FIRE PREVENTION CODE, 2010 EDITION, THE
 LIFE SAFETY CODE, 2009 EDITION, INCLUDING MORE
 SPECIFICALLY, CHAPTER 36, NEW MERCANTILE OCCUPANCIES
 AND CHAPTER 42 STORAGE OCCUPANCIES.
  
 6. A MERCANTILE OCCUPANCY EXCEEDING 12,000 SQ. FT.
 SHALL BE PROTECTED THROUGHOUT BY AN APPROVED AUTOMATIC
 SPRINKLER SYSTEM.
  
 7. ALL EXIT DISCHARGE LOCATIONS SHALL BE CLEARLY
 ILLUSTRATED ON THE PLAN.
  
 8. ALL ILLUMINATED EXIT SIGNS AND EMERGENCY LIGHTING
 EQUIPMENT SHALL BE ILLUSTRATED ON THE PLAN.
  
 9. ALL PORTABLE FIRE EXTINGUISHERS LOCATIONS SHALL BE
 CLEARLY IDENTIFIED AND INDICATED ON THE PLAN.
  
 10. COMPLETE LIFE SAFETY PLANS FOR THE BUILDING SHALL
 BE PROVIDED THAT ILLUSTRATE OCCUPANT LOADS, TRAVEL
 DISTANCES, DEAD-END CORRIDORS AND ALL FIRE SAFETY
 EQUIPMENT.
  
 11. NOTICE IS REQUIRED FOR STRUCTURES WITH LIGHT-FRAME
 TRUSS-TYPE CONSTRUCTION. ANY COMMERCIAL, INDUSTRIAL, OR
 ANY MULTIUNIT RESIDENTIAL STRUCTURE OF THREE UNITS OR
 MORE WHICH USES HORIZONTAL OR VERTICAL LIGHT-FRAME
 TRUSS-TYPE CONSTRUCTION IN ANY PORTION SHALL BE MARKED
 WITH AN APPROVED SYMBOL. THE APPROVED SYMBOL SHALL BE
 PLACED WITHIN 24 INCHES TO THE LEFT OF THE MAIN ENTRY
 DOOR.
  
 12. NO EXIT DOOR SHALL BE LOCKED FROM THE EGRESS SIDE.
 ANY AND ALL LOCKING MECHANISMS SHALL BE COMPLAINT WITH
 CHAPTER 7 OF THE FLORIDA FIRE PREVENTION CODE AND
 PRE-APPROVED (PRIOR TO INSTALLATION) BY THE BUREAU OF
 FIRE PREVENTION. CLOSE COORDINATION WITH THE BUREAU OF
 FIRE PREVENTION IS STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO AVOID
 MISUNDERSTANDINGS, MISINTERPRETATIONS AND DELAYS
 RELATED TO EGRESS REQUIREMENTS.
  
 13. DOORS SHALL BE ARRANGED TO BE OPENED READILY FROM
 THE EGRESS SIDE WHENEVER THE BUILDING IS OCCUPIED.
 LOCKS, IF PROVIDED, SHALL NOT REQUIRE THE USE OF A KEY,
 TOOL, OR SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE OR EFFORT FOR OPERATION FROM
 THE EGRESS SIDE.
  
 INDICATE IF THE DOORS WILL BE EQUIPPED WITH ANY
 LOCK/LATCH. IF THE DOORS WILL BE EQUIPPED WITH A
 LOCK/LATCH, INDICATE HOW THE LOCK/LATCH WILL BE
 RELEASED FROM THE EGRESS SIDE OF THE DOOR.
  
 PER SECTION 7.2.1.5.9, THE LOCK/LATCH RELEASING
 MECHANISM ON ALL DOORS SHALL OPEN THE DOOR WITH NOT
 MORE THAN ONE RELEASING OPERATION. THE RELEASING
 MECHANISM SHALL HAVE AN OBVIOUS METHOD OF OPERATION
 THAT IS READILY OPERATED UNDER ALL LIGHTING CONDITIONS.
 THE RELEASING DEVICE SHOULD BE CAPABLE OF BEING
 OPERATED WITH ONE HAND AND SHOULD NOT REQUIRE TIGHT
 GRASPING, TIGHT PINCHING OR TWISTING OF THE WRIST TO
 OPERATE.
  
 A THUMB TURN LOCK IS NOT PERMITTED ON THE MAIN ENTRY
 DOOR(S). IN LIEU OF PANIC HARDWARE, THE MAIN ENTRY IS
 PERMITTED TO BE EQUIPPED WITH A KEYED LOCK WITH
 LOCK/UNLOCK INDICATOR WINDOW AND SIGNAGE STATING THE
 DOOR IS TO REMAIN UNLOCKED DURING BUSINESS HOURS. NO
 OTHER LOCKING OR LATCHING MECHANISMS ARE PERMITTED.
  
 THUMB-TURN LOCK TO BE EQUIPPED WITH AN ?OPEN/LOCKED?
