 AFTER A REVIEW OF THE PPRC RESPONSE LETTER DATED
 JANUARY 21, 2014, FROM URBAN DESIGN KILDAY STUDIOS, TO
 ERIC SCHNEIDER, PRINCIPAL PLANNER, THE PREVIOUSLY
 SUBMITTED FIRE PREVENTION BUREAU COMMENTS HAVE BEEN
 ADDRESSED.
  
 THE BUREAU'S APPROVAL OF THIS SUBMITTED PROJECT DOES
 NOT CONSTITUTE IT'S FINAL REVIEW OR APPROVAL.
  
 THE BUREAU SHALL REVIEW ALL SUBMITTED BUILDING PLANS AT
 THE APPROPRIATE TIME AND IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
 REQUIREMENTS OF ALL APPLICABLE CODES AND STANDARDS.

 FIRE MARSHAL, BUREAU OF FIRE PREVENTION, WEST PALM
 BEACH FIRE RESCUE.
  
 THIS REVIEW CAN ONLY BE CONSIDERED PRELIMINARY AS THE
 DRAWINGS THAT WERE REVIEWED WERE NOT COMPLETE.
 ADDITIONAL COMMENTS CAN BE EXPECTED WHEN FULL DRAWINGS
 ARE SUBMITTED FOR PERMIT.
  
 1. SITE ACCESS AND EXIT POINTS ARE TO BE CLEARLY
 IDENTIFIED AND MAINTAINED FOR EMERGENCY VEHICLES DURING
 ALL CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES.
  
 2. TRASH AND DEBRIS IS TO BE REMOVED FROM THE SITE
 DAILY OR MORE OFTEN TO REDUCE THE ACCUMULATION OF
 POTENTIAL LIFE AND FIRE SAFETY HAZARDS.
  
 3. ALL CONSTRUCTION SHALL COMPLY WITH THE FLORIDA FIRE
 PREVENTION CODE, 2010 EDITION, INCLUDING BUT NOT
 LIMITED TO, CHAPTER 14, NEW EDUCATIONAL OCCUPANCIES.
  
 4. A NFPA 13 COMPLAINT FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEM IS
 REQUIRED FOR THIS STRUCTURE. SEPARATE SHOP DRAWINGS,
 ARE REQUIRED TO BE SUBMITTED, REVIEWED AND APPROVED BY
 THE FIRE PREVENTION BUREAU PRIOR TO ANY INSTALLATION.
  
 5. A MONITORED FIRE ALARM SYSTEM IS REQUIRED FOR THIS
 STRUCTURE. SEPARATE SHOP DRAWINGS, ARE REQUIRED TO BE
 SUBMITTED, REVIEWED AND APPROVED BY THE FIRE PREVENTION
 BUREAU PRIOR TO ANY INSTALLATION.
  
 6. A NFPA 72 COMPLIANT FIRE ALARM SYSTEM IS REQUIRED
 FOR THIS STRUCTURE.
  
 7. ALL KITCHEN EQUIPMENT AND OPERATIONS SHALL COMPLY
 WITH NFPA 96, STANDARD FOR VENTILATION CONTROL AND FIRE
 PROTECTION OF COMMERCIAL COOKING OPERATIONS.
 EXTINGUISHMENT AND VENTILATION SYSTEM SHOP DRAWINGS
 SHALL BE SUBMITTED SEPARATELY FOR APPROVAL.
  
 8. ALL EXISTING AND NEW FIRE HYDRANTS PLANNED FOR THIS
 DEVELOPMENT SHALL BE CLEARLY INDICATED AND IDENTIFIED
 ON THE PLAN. THE FIRE HYDRANTAND FDC'S FOR THIS PROJECT
 SHALL BE CLOSELY COORDINATED WITH THE BUREAU OF FIRE
 PREVENTION. IT WILL RECOMMENDED THAT THE PROPOSED NEW
 HYDRANT LOCATIONS BE MOVED CLOSER TO THE BUILDING IN AN
 AGREEABLE LOCATION.
  
 9. COMPLETE LIFE SAFETY PLANS FOR THE BUILDING SHALL BE
 PROVIDED THAT ILLUSTRATE OCCUPANT LOADS, TRAVEL
 DISTANCES, DEAD-END CORRIDORS AND ALL FIRE SAFETY
 EQUIPMENT.
  
 10. ALL FIRE RATED OPENING PROTECTIONS (FIRE DOORS AND
 HARDWARE) SHALL BE CLEARLY IDENTIFIED AND INDICATED IN
 THE DOOR SCHEDULE.
  
 11. PRESCRIPTIVE STRENGTH REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL
 HANDRAILS AND GUARDRAILS FOR THE BUILDING SHALL BE
 PROVIDED AND CLEARLY INDICATED.
  
 12. ALL EXIT DISCHARGE LOCATIONS SHALL BE CLEARLY
 ILLUSTRATED ON THE PLAN.
  
 13. ALL ILLUMINATED EXIT SIGNS AND EMERGENCY LIGHTING
 EQUIPMENT SHALL BE ILLUSTRATED ON THE PLAN.
  
 14. ALL PORTABLE FIRE EXTINGUISHERS LOCATIONS SHALL BE
 CLEARLY IDENTIFIED AND INDICATED ON THE PLAN.
  
 15. STAIR DETAIL SHALL BE PROVIDED INCLUDING MINIMUM
 RISE, RUN, AND TREAD DEPTH.
  
 16. NOTICE REQUIRED FOR STRUCTURES WITH LIGHT-FRAME
 TRUSS-TYPE CONSTRUCTION. ANY COMMERCIAL, INDUSTRIAL, OR
 ANY MULTIUNIT RESIDENTIAL STRUCTURE OF THREE UNITS OR
 MORE WHICH USES HORIZONTAL OR VERTICAL LIGHT-FRAME
 TRUSS-TYPE CONSTRUCTION IN ANY PORTION SHALL BE MARKED
 WITH AN APPROVED SYMBOL. THE APPROVED SYMBOL SHALL BE
 PLACED WITHIN 24 INCHES TO THE LEFT OF THE MAIN ENTRY
 DOOR.
  
 17. KNOX-BOX KEY SYSTEM SHALL BE REQUIRED FOR THIS
 BUILDING.
  
 18. BUILDING ADDRESSES ARE REQUIRED ON THE BUILDING.
 THE ADDRESS IS TO BE A MINIMUM OF AT LEAST 6" HIGH AND
 CONTRAST TO THE BACKGROUND THAT THEY ARE AFFIXED.
  
 19. THE BUREAU'S APPROVAL OF THIS SUBMITTED PROJECT
 DOES NOT CONSTITUTE IT'S FINAL REVIEW OR APPROVAL.
  
 20. THE BUREAU SHALL REVIEW ALL SUBMITTED BUILDING
 PLANS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF ALL
