 COMMENTS:
  
 1. THIS REVIEW IS A CURSORY REVIEW AS IT RELATES TO THE
 SITE. IT IS NOT A REVIEW FOR FULL COMPLIANCE WITH
 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE. THE FOLLOWING COMMENTS ARE TO BE
 ADDRESSED FOR PERMITTING.
  
 2. WHEN SUBMITTED FOR PERMIT, THE PLANS SHALL SHOW AT
 LEAST ONE ACCESSIBLE ROUTE, COMPLYING WITH SECTIONS
 206.2 AND 402.2 OF FLORIDA ACCESSIBILITY CODE, FROM THE
 PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY TO ALL ACCESSIBLE BUILDING OR
 FACILITY ENTRANCES.
  
 4. WHEN SUBMITTED FOR PERMIT, THE PLANS SHALL SHOW AT
 LEAST ONE ACCESSIBLE ROUTE, COMPLYING WITH SECTIONS
 206.2 AND 402.2 OF FLORIDA ACCESSIBILITY CODE,
 CONNECTING ACCESSIBLE BUILDING OR FACILITY ENTRANCES
 WITH ALL ACCESSIBLE SPACES AND ELEMENTS WITHIN THE
 BUILDING OR FACILITY
  
 5. ANY PART OF AN ACCESSIBLE ROUTE WITH A SLOPE GREATER
 THAN 1:20 SHALL BE CONSIDERED A RAMP AND SHALL COMPLY
 WITH SECTION 405 OF FLORIDA ACCESSIBILITY CODE.
  
 6. LOCATION OF ACCESSIBLE PARKING SPACES. PARKING
 GARAGE SHEETS GA-1.1 AND GA-1.2 SHOW ACCESSIBLE PARKING
 SPACES LOCATED SUCH THAT, IN ORDER TO GET FROM THEIR
 VEHICLE TO THE HOTEL BUILDING, THE USER WOULD BE
 COMPELLED TO WALK, OR WHEEL, IN THE VEHICULAR TRAVEL
 LANE AND/OR BEHIND THE PARKED VEHICLES OF OTHER USERS.
 PER SECTION 208.3 OF FLORIDA ACCESSIBILITY CODE,
 ACCESSIBLE PARKING SPACES ARE TO BE LOCATED ON THE
 SHORTEST POSSIBLE ROUTE OF TRAVEL FROM ADJACENT PARKING
 TO AN ACCESSIBLE ENTRANCE FOR EACH BUILDING, AND SHALL
 BE LOCATED SUCH THAT THE ROUTE IS A SAFE ONE. THE
 DESIGN OF ACCESSIBLE PARKING SPACES SHALL COMPLY WITH
 SECTION 502 OF FLORIDA ACCESSIBILITY CODE
  
 7. VAN ACCESSIBLE PARKING. IT IS NOTED THAT THE PARKING
 DATA TABLE ON SHEET A-0.1 CORRECTLY STATES THAT A VAN
 ACCESSIBLE PARKING SPACE IS REQUIRED. PLEASE INDICATE,
 ON PARKING GARAGE SHEET GA-1.1, WHICH OF THE ACCESSIBLE
 PARKING SPACES WILL BE DESIGNATED AS VAN ACCESSIBLE.
 PER SECTION 208.2.4 OF FLORIDA ACCESSIBILITY CODE, ONE
 IN EVERY SIX ACCESSIBLE SPACES (AT LEAST ONE) IN A
 PARKING STRUCTURE, SHALL BE VAN ACCESSIBLE AND DESIGNED
 IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION OF 502 OF FLORIDA
 ACCESSIBILITY CODE (VERTICAL CLEARANCE NOT LESS THAN 98
 INCHES AT SPACE AND VEHICLE ACCESS ROUTE)
  
 8. THE TYPE OF CONSTRUCTION FOR THE BUILDINGS SHALL BE
 IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE HEIGHT, AREA AND OCCUPANCY
 LIMITATIONS IN CHAPTER 5 OF THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE
  
 9. COMPLIANCE WITH ALL BUILDING SEPARATION, PERCENTAGE
 OF OPENINGS AND OPENING PROTECTIVE REQUIREMENTS OF
 CHAPTERS 6 AND 7 OF THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE SHALL BE
 VERIFIED.
  
 10. IT IS NOTED FROM PARKING GARAGE SHEETS GA-2.0 AND
 GA-2.1, THAT THE PARKING GARAGE IS CURRENTLY DESIGNED
 AS AN OPEN GARAGE. SHOULD THE DESIGN CHANGE TO AN
 ENCLOSED PARKING GARAGE FOR ANY REASON, PLEASE NOTE
 THAT ENCLOSED PARKING GARAGES MUST HAVE EXHAUST SYSTEMS
 DESIGNED TO MINIMIZE NOISE LEVELS USING INLINE FAN
 SILENCERS OR OTHER APPROVED METHODS.
  
 11. WALKWAY CONNECTION TO CONVENTION CENTER BUILDING.
 SHEET A-0.2 SHOWS TWO PROPOSED COVERED WALKWAYS FROM
 THE HOTEL TO THE CONVENTION CENTER. WHERE THE WALKWAYS
 CONNECT TO THE CONVENTION CENTER BUILDING THE
 WALLS/DOORS/STOREFRONT THE CONSTRUCTION MUST BE 4-HOUR
 FIRE-RATED WITH 3-HOUR FIRE-RATED DOORS (OR SHUTTERS),
 OR THE ENTIRE HOTEL BUILDING MUST BE DESIGNED AND
 CONSTRUCTED AS AN ADDITION TO THE EXISTING CONVENTION
 CENTER BUILDING. IN THAT CASE THE ADDITION WOULD BE
 COVERED BY CHAPTER 10 OF THE FLORIDA EXISTING BUILDING
 CODE, AND THE HEIGHT AND/OR AREA INCREASE DUE TO THE
 PROPOSED ADDITION WOULD HAVE TO BE SHOWN TO NOT
 INCREASE THE TOTAL BUILDING HEIGHT AND/OR AREA BEYOND
 THAT ALLOWED UNDER THE APPLICABLE PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER
 5 OF THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE.
  
 12. FIRST FLOOR PLAN SHEET A-1.01. THE BAR, RESTAURANT,
 AND FITNESS ROOM ARE NOT CURRENTLY SHOWN TO HAVE TWO
 EXITS SEPARATED BY A DISTANCE OF AT LEAST 1/3 OF THE
 GREATEST DIAGONAL DIMENSION OF THE RESPECTIVE ROOM OR
 SPACE. WHEN SUBMITTED FOR PERMIT, THE PLANS SHALL SHOW
 THAT THE NUMBER AND SPACING OF EXITS COMPLY WITH
 SECTION 1021.4 OF THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE.
  
 13. SECOND FLOOR PLAN SHEET A-1.02. WITH THE CURRENT
 CONFIGURATION OF THE PLAN, THERE DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE
 ACCESS TO AN EXIT STAIR AT THE SOUTH END OF THE MEETING
 ROOM ACCESS CORRIDOR TO PROVIDE EGRESS IN AN EMERGENCY
 WITHOUT THE USE OF THE ESCALATORS FOR EMERGENCY
 EXITING. ESCALATORS SHALL NOT BE USED FOR REQUIRED
 MEANS OF EGRESS PURSUANT TO SECTION 1003.7 OF THE
 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE.
  
 14. ALL APPLICABLE PERMITS MUST BE OBTAINED BEFORE
 COMMENCING THE WORK.
