 BUILDING AND ELECTRICAL COMMENTS ARE PROVIDED BASED ON
 A SITE INSPECTION PERFORMED ON DEC. 10TH 2010.
  
  
 THIS LETTER IS TO INFORM YOU AS TO THE INSPECTION THAT
 WAS REQUESTED AT 215 S. OLIVE, 303 EVERNIA & 307
 EVERNIA IN REGARDS TO THE LAND BEING SUBDIVIDED INTO
 THREE CONDOMINIUMS. IN INVESTIGATING THE PROPERTY WITH
 MR. NORDINE A CONCERN IS HOW TO MANAGE A FIRE ESCAPE, A
 COMMON AREA THAT WILL SERVICE THE OCCUPANTS FROM 215 S.
 OLIVE AND 307 EVERNIA ST. THE ARE AREAS OF CONCERN:
 1) WITHIN THE FIRE ESCAPE STAIRWAY THERE ARE AREAS OF
 COMBUSTIBLE STORAGE, TUCK UP UNDER THE LOWER STAIRS
 COVERED WITH A BLUE TARP.
  
 2) AT THE SECOND STORY LEVEL THERE IS AN AREA THAT IS
 RECESSED WITH STORAGE UNDER THE STAIR AS WELL AS
 ANOTHER STORAGE ROOM LOCATED BENEATH THE FIRE ESCAPE
 ACCESSIBLE BY A OPEN HATCH AND A STORAGE ROOM ONLY
 ACCESSIBLE BY A SHIPS LADDER.
  
 3) THE OTHER ISSUE AT HAND IS THE FIRE ESCAPE IS
 BLOCKED OFF FROM THE ALLEY BY A BLOCK WALL THE ONLY
 ACCESS IS ONE 3'-0"X6'-8" STEEL DOORWAY. THE DOORWAY
 DOES SWING OUT OVER THE PROPERTY LINE INTO A 14'-0"
 WIDE ALLEY. BY CODE THIS DOOR SHOULD NOT SWING OVER THE
 PROPERTY LINE. 2007 FBC-B 3202.2 DOORS AND WINDOWS
 SHALL NOT OPEN OR PROJECT INTO THE PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY.
 IF A CAR OR TRUCK WERE TO PARK AND OR UNLOAD IN FRONT
 OF THE DOOR IT WOULD BLOCK THE EGRESS NOT ALLOWING THE
 OCCUPANTS TO TRAVEL TO THE PUBLIC WAY FOR SAFETY.

 DISCOVERED THE FOLLOWING ELECTRICAL ITEMS REQUIRING
 CORRECTION.
  
 THE MAIN ELECTRICAL SERVICE DISCONNECTS SERVING 303
 EVERNIA AND 307 EVERNIA NEED TO BE IDENTIFIED WITH
 WEATHER RESISTANT PLACARDS AS TO THE CORRECT ADDRESS
 AND UNIT NUMBER. NEC 110.22
  
 THE MAIN ELECTRICAL SERVICE DISCONNECT SERVING 215 S.
 OLIVE IS LOCATED WITHIN THE BUILDING ON THE SECOND
 FLOOR. A SEPERATE WEATHER RESISTANT PLACARD INDICATING
 THE MAIN DISCONNECT LOCATION IS REQUIRED ON THE
 EXTERIOR OF THE BUILDING ADJACENT TO THE POINT OF
 ELECTRICAL SERVICE. NEC 110.22, 225.37
  
 STORAGE WITHIN THE DEDICATED ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT ROOMS
 SERVING THESE STRUCTURES NEEDS TO BE REMOVED. NEC
