 PLEASE PROVIDE RESPONSES TO REVIEW COMMENTS IN WRITTEN
 FORMAT.
  
 1. PURSUANT TO SECTION 94-443 (C)(3)(A), EVERY TERMINAL
 LANDSCAPE ISLAND SHALL CONTAIN ONE SHADE OR FLOWERING
 TREE. THE NEWLY CREATED TERMINAL ISLANDS AT THE NORTH
 END OF THE PARKING ROWS DO NOT MEET THIS REQUIREMENT.
 SOME OF THE OTHER TERMINAL ISLANDS ARE MISSING THE
 REQUIRED TREES, AS WELL.
  
 2. PURSUANT TO SECTION 94-442 (C), WHEN PALM TREES ARE
 SUBSTITUTED FOR SHADE TREES, TWO PALM TREES SHALL BE
 PROVIDED FOR EACH REQUIRED SHADE TREE. PURSUANT TO
 SECTION 94-445 (4)(B), WHENEVER THE CLUSTERING OF PALM
 TREES IS UTILIZED, A MINIMUM OF THREE PALM TREES PER
 CLUSTER SHALL BE REQUIRED. THIS APPLIES TO THE NEWLY
 CREATED TERMINAL ISLANDS AT THE NORTH END OF THE
 PARKING ROWS. A TOTAL OF SIX SABAL PALMS OR TWO SHADE
 TREES WOULD BE REQUIRED AT THE END OF EACH DOUBLE
 PARKING ROW.
  
 3. THOUGH THE PROPOSED HEDGE ALONG THE EAST PERIMETER
 IS REQUIRED, THE COCOPLUM HEDGE ON THE NEIGHBORING
 PROPERTY CAN BE USED TO MEET THIS REQUIREMENT AND A
 SECOND HEDGE WILL NOT BE REQUIRED. HOWEVER, A NOTE
 SHALL BE PLACED ON THE LANDSCAPE PLAN THAT IF THE HEDGE
 ON THE NEIGHBOR'S PROPERTY IS EVER REMOVED THEN THIS
 PROPERTY WILL BE RESPONSIBLE TO PLANT A HEDGE. HOWEVER,
 PLEASE BE AWARE THAT A HEDGE IS REQUIRED AROUND THE
 ENTIRE PERIMETER OF THE SITE AND IT SHALL BE REPLACED
 IN ALL OTHER AREAS WHERE IT IS MISSING.
  
 4. PURSUANT TO SECTION 94-443 (E), AT LEAST 30 PERCENT
 OF THE LINEAR FEET AROUND THE EXTERIOR OF ALL
 COMMERCIAL STRUCTURES SHALL BE PLANTED WITH TREES,
 SHRUBS OR HEDGES. PLEASE PROVIDE THE CALCULATIONS.
 LANDSCAPING SHALL BE INCORPORATED IN FRONT OF THE NEW
 ADDITION ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE BUILDING.
  
 5. PURSUANT TO SECTION 94-442 (D), PRIVATE LAND AND
 PUBLIC RIGHTS-OF-WAY BETWEEN STREET OR SIDEWALK
 SURFACES AND REQUIRED BUFFER STRIPS AND LANDSCAPED OPEN
 SPACE AREAS SHALL BE PLANTED WITH GRASS. GRASS AREAS
 SHALL BE SODDED. THE APPLICANT SHALL RESOD ALL LAWN
 AREAS THROUGHOUT THE SITE, INCLUDING THE RIGHTS-OF-WAY
 WHERE THE GRASS HAS DIED OR IS WEED INFESTED.
  
 6. PURSUANT TO SECTION 94-445 (4)(G)(3), AUTOMATIC
 IRRIGATION SYSTEMS SHALL BE USED FOR THE CULTIVATED
 LANDSCAPE AREAS FOR ALL PROPERTIES. THERE SHALL BE 120%
 COVERAGE OF ALL LANDSCAPED AREAS THROUGHOUT THE SITE,
 INCLUDING THE RIGHTS-OF-WAY.
  
 7. PURSUANT TO SECTION 94-443 (C)(3)(B), ONE INTERIOR
 LANDSCAPE ISLAND SHALL BE PROVIDED FOR EVERY TEN
 PARKING SPACES OR FRACTION THEREOF. INTERIOR LANDSCAPE
 ISLANDS SHALL BE AT LEAST FIVE FEET WIDE AND SHALL
 CONTAIN AT LEAST ONE SHADE OR FLOWERING TREE. THE
 PARKING ROW ON THE EAST SIDE OF THE BUILDING IS MISSING
 AN INTERIOR ISLAND AND SOME OF THE OTHER INTERIOR
 ISLANDS ARE MISSING THE REQUIRED TREES.
  
 8. PURSUANT TO SECTION 94-443 (C)(3)(C), IF DIVIDER
 MEDIANS ARE USED, THEY SHALL FORM A CONTINUOUS
 LANDSCAPED STRIP BETWEEN ABUTTING ROWS OF PARKING
 SPACES. SHADE OR FLOWERING TREES WITHIN A DIVIDER
 MEDIAN SHALL BE PLANTED AT 30-FOOT INTERVALS. THE
 EXISTING TREE SPECIES USED IN THE MEDIANS IS LIVE OAK
 AND THIS IS WHAT WOULD BE RECOMMENDED TO COMPLETE THE
 PLANTING.
  
 9. PURSUANT TO SECTION 94-445 (4)(I), AUSTRALIAN PINE,
 BRAZILIAN PEPPER, EARLEAF ACACIA AND ALL OTHER INVASIVE
 AND PROHIBITED TREE SPECIES SHALL BE REMOVED FROM THE
 SITE.
  
 10.THERE IS A DEAD ROYAL PALM AT THE MILITARY TRAIL
 ENTRY MEDIAN BY THE SIGN. THERE IS A LONE ROYAL PALM
 GROWING IN A GROUPING OF SABAL PALMS IN THE MEDIAN AT
 THE MAIN ENTRY. THIS PALM COULD BE MOVED TO THE
 ENTRANCE IN FROM MILITARY TRAIL AND REPLACED WITH
 ANOTHER SABAL PALM. THE CONDITION OF THE LANDSCAPING
 ALONG TBOTH ENTRNACES IS IN POOR CONDITION AND SHALL BE
 UPGRADED.
  
 11. CASSIA FISTULA IS BRIITTLE AND TENDS TO BREAK APART
 . IT HAS A VERY SPARSE CROWN AND IS DECIDUOUS. THE
 TABEBUIA CARAIBA HAS A VERY POOR ROOT SYSTEM AND THE
 TREE TENDS TO BLOW OVER IN HIGH WIND. THE APPLICANT
 SHALL CONSIDER USING OTHER TREE SPECIES THAT ARE
 EVERGREEN AND STORM TOLERANT. ALSO, THE MAJORITY OF THE
 EXISTING ISLAND TREES ARE BLACK OLIVES. IN ORDER TO
 HAVE SOME CONTINUITY, ADIDITIONAL TREES MAY NEED TO BE
 REMOVED OR RELOCATED TO ALLOW THE PLANTING OF A SINGLE
 TREE SPECIES WITHIN A ROW THAT CROSSES THE PARKING LOT
 FROM ONE SIDE TO THE OTHER. THE APPLICANT SHALL DEVELOP
 A PLAN THAT HAS REPETITION OF SPECIES AND AVOIDS RANDOM
 PLANTING OF DIFFERENT SPECIES.
  
 12. LANDSCAPING THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE SITE SHALL BE
 BROUGHT UP TO CURRENT STANDARDS. ALL EXISTING TREES AND
 PLANT MATERIALS SHALL BE FLORIDA # 1 GRADE OR BETTER OR
 REPLACEMENT WILL BE REQUIRED. EXISTING TREES THAT WILL
 REMAIN SHALL BE CORRECTIVELY PRUNED BY A CERTIFIED
 ARBORIST.
  
 13. PURSUANT TO SECTION 94-444 (B), OUTDOOR GARBAGE
 RECEPTACLES SHALL NOT BE PERMITTED UNLESS APPROPRIATE
 SCREENIG IS PROVIDED. SCREENING SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED OF
 BRICK, DECORATIVE CONCRETE, OTHER DECORATIVE MASONRY,
 OR COMPARABLY DURABLE WOOD AND STEEL. WALLS SHALL BE
 LANDSCAPED WITH SHRUBS AND HEDGES PLANTED AT TWO-FOOT
 INTERVALS. A FOUR-SIDED ENCLOSURE WITH AN OBSCURING
 GATE IS REQUIRED. HOWEVER, THE PROPOSED TRASH COMPACTOR
 IS SHOWN WITHIN THE TRAVEL AISLE AND SHOULD BE LOCATED
 ELSEWHERE.
  
 14. IN KEEPING WITH XERISCAPE GUIDELINES, THE APPLICANT
 SHALL CONSIDER THE USE OF LOW GROWING GROUND COVER AS A
 REPLACEMENT TO SOD IN MANY OF THE LANDSCAPE ISLANDS AND
 LANDSCAPE STRIPS. THE REDUCTION IN SOD WILL REDUCE
 WATER CONSUMPTION AND MAINTENANCE.
  
 15. A TREE ALTERATION PERMIT APPLICATION SHALL BE
 SUBMITTED TO THE PLANNING AND ZONING DEPARTMENT WITH
 TWO COPIES OF THE APPROVED LANDSCAPE PLAN.
