 PLEASE PROVIDE RESPONSES TO REVIEW COMMENTS IN WRITTEN
 FORMAT.
  
 1. PLEASE PROVIDE THE TABULATION NECESSARY FOR THE
 EVALUATION OF COMPLIANCE WITH ARTICLE XIV OF THE ZONING
 AND LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS, INCLUDING THE
 XERISCAPE DESIGN OPTIONS.
  
 2. PURSUANT TO SECTION 94-443 (C) (3), OFF-STREET
 PARKING LOTS CONTAINING AT LEAST 12 INTERIOR PARKING
 SPACES SHALL CONTAIN LANDSCAPE AREAS. THE TOTAL SIZE OF
 SUCH LANDSCAPED AREAS SHALL BE EQUAL TO TEN SQUARE FEET
 FOR EACH PARKING SPACE AND SHALL BE PROVIDED WITHIN THE
 INTERIOR OF AN OFF-STREET PARKING AREA. LANDSCAPED
 AREAS SHALL CONTAIN AT LEAST ONE SHADE OR FLOWERING
 TREE FOR EACH 100 SQUARE FEET OF REQUIRED LANDSCAPE
 AREA. A MINIMUM OF 75 PERCENT OF ALL TREES THAT ARE
 REQUIRED TO BE PLANTED WITHIN THE INTERIOR OF AN
 OFF-STREET PARKING AREA SHALL BE SHADE TREES. THE SHADE
 TREES SHALL BE LOCATED IN SUCH A MANNER TO PRODUCE
 MAXIMUM OVERHEAD CANOPY FOR THE VEHICLES.
  
 3. PLEASE PROVIDE A COPY OF THE TREE SURVEY. THE
 EXISTING TREES SHOWN ON THE LANDSCAPE PLAN ARE NUMBERED
 BUT NOTHING HAS BEEN PROVIDED TO REFERENCE THOSE
 NUMBERS.
  
 4. PURSUANT TO SECTION 94-443 (C) (2), VEHICULAR USE
 AREAS SHALL BE SCREENED FROM THOROUGHFARES BY A
 LANDSCAPE BUFFER OF AT LEAST FIVE FEET IN WIDTH. IN
 ADDITION TO THE REQUIRED HEDGES, SHADE TREES MUST BE
 PLANTED AT 30-FOOT INTERVALS. THIS ALSO APPLIES TO
 COMMERCIAL PROPERTIES ADJACENT TO COMMERCIAL
 PROPERTIES. NOT ALL OF THE BUFFERS MEET THIS MINIMUM
 WIDTH REQUIREMENT AND NONE OF THEM MEET THE TREE
 REQUIREMENT. THE WIDTH TO THE TRAVEL AISLES ARE 26
 FEET. BECAUSE ONLY 24 FEET IS REQUIRED, THE ADDITIONAL
 TWO FEET OF SPACE SHALL BE CONVERTED TO GREEN SPACE AND
 ADDED TO THE PERIMETER LANDSCAPE BUFFERS.
  
 5. PURSUANT TO SECTION 94-443 (C)(3)(A), EACH ROW OF
 PARKING SPACES SHALL BE TERMINATED BY LANDSCAPE ISLANDS
 OF NOT LESS THAN FIVE FEET IN WIDTH, EXCLUDING THE
 REQUIRED CURB. SEVERAL OF THESE TERMINAL ISLANDS DO NOT
 MEET THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS. THE TRAVEL AISLES
 MENTIONED IN THE ITEM ABOVE SHALL BE REDUCED TO 24 FEET
 TO ALLOW FOR THE EXPANSION OF THE TERMINAL ISLANDS.
  
 6. PURSUANT TO SECTION 94-443 (C) (3) (B), ONE INTERIOR
 LANDSCAPE ISLAND SHALL BE PROVIDED FOR EVERY TEN
 PARKING SPACES OR FRACTION THEREOF. INTERIOR LANDSCAPE
 ISLANDS SHALL BE AT LEAST FIVE FEET WIDE, EXCLUDING THE
 REQUIRED CURB, AND SHALL CONTAIN AT LEAST ONE SHADE OR
 FLOWERING TREE. NO INTERIOR LANDSCAPE ISLANDS HAVE BEEN
 PROPOSED.
  
 7. PURSUANT TO SECTION 94-443 (C)(4), FOR OTHER PAVED
 AREAS UTILIZED BY MOTOR VEHICLES, INCLUDING AISLES,
 LOADING AREAS, CIRCULATION AREAS AND DRIVE-IN SERVICE
 AREAS, ADDITIONAL LANDSCAPING SHALL BE PROVIDED AS
 FOLLOWS: FOUR SQUARE FEET OF LANDSCAPED AREA SHALL BE
 REQUIRED FOR EACH 100 SQUARE FEET, OR FRACTION THEREOF.
  
 8. PURSUANT TO SECTION 94-443 (C)(5)(A), LANDSCAPE
 AREAS SHALL BE SEPARATED FROM VEHICULAR USE AREAS BY
 NON-MOUNTABLE, CONCRETE CURBING OF THE TYPE
 CHARACTERIZED AS 'TYPE D'. NO CURBING HAS BEEN
 PROPOSED.
  
 9. THE PROPOSED HEDGE ALONG THE EAST PERIMETER OF THE
 NORTH PARKING LOT SHALL BE PLANTED ALONG THE PROPERTY
 LINE, IN ORDER TO ALLOW FOR MAINTENANCE.
  
 10. PURSUANT TO SECTION 94-445 (4) (G) (3), AUTOMATIC
 IRRIGATION SYSTEMS SHALL BE USED FOR THE CULTIVATED
 LANDSCAPE AREAS FOR ALL PROPERTIES. THIS INCLUDES THE
 ADJACENT RIGHTS-OF-WAY PLANTINGS.
  
 11. PLEASE USE THE STANDARD CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH
 PARKING DETAIL.
  
 12. ALL TREES AND SHRUBS SHALL BE PLANTED AT OR
 SLIGHTLY ABOVE GRADE. A LAYER OF NO MORE THAN INCH OF
 MULCH SHALL BE APPLIED OVER THE ROOT BALL OF ANY TREE
 OR SHRUB. THE THREE INCH LAYER SHALL BE APPLIED OUTSIDE
 OF THE ROOT BALL. PLEASE REVISE PLANTING DETAILS.
  
 13. PROPOSED PLANTING ALONG THE EAST PERIMETER OF BOTH
 PARKING LOTS AND THE TERMINAL LANDSCAPE ISLANDS SHALL
 BE TOLERANT OF PERIODIC FLOODING. THESE PLANTING AREAS
 ARE BEING SHARED WITH THE WATER RETENTION SWALES FOR
 THE SITE.
  
 14. ON THE LANDSCAPE PLAN, PLEASE SHOW ALL OVERHEAD
 LINES, EASEMENTS, UTILITIES AND ANYTHING ELSE THAT MAY
 INTERFERE WITH THE PROPOSED LANDSCAPING.
