 PROCEDURAL REQUIREMENTS:

 (OR THE ALTERNATIVE ARCADE FASCIA SIGN) AND AN UNDER
 ARCADE FASCIA SIGN, SO THIS SHIFTING OF WHAT WAS
 ORIGINALLY PROPOSED NO LONGER WOULD APPLY. THE EXISTING
 SF SHIFT PROVISIONS ARE UNWIELDY WITH THE SAME SIGN
 TYPE. STAFF WILL NOT AGREE TO SHIFTING THE SQUARE
 FOOTAGE AMONG DIFFERENT SIGN TYPES.
  
 WAIVER I
  
 7) SPECIAL SIGNAGE IS IN SECTION F.
  
 8) STAFF IS CONCERNED BY THE HORIZONTAL OR VERTICAL
 PLACEMENT WAIVER. THE SIGN CRITERIA DESIGNED BY YOUR
 CONSULTANT HAVE BUILT IN A LOT OF LOCATIONAL
 FLEXIBILITY WHILE CREATING THE PLAN THAT CREATES A
 CONSISTENT SIGN BANDING FOR THE TENANTS. THE LOCATIONAL
 WAIVERS WERE ORIGINALLY ADDED TO THE MASTER SIGN PLAN
 SINCE THE ORIGINAL SIGN ZONES WERE VERY SPECIFIC AND
 DID RESULT IN SOME BUSINESSES HAVING SIGN LOCATIONS
 THAT WOULD NOT PROVIDE ADEQUATE VISIBILITY.
  
 WAIVER II
  
 9) THE NEW SIGNAGE PROVISION NEEDS TO BE FOR NEW SIGNS
 PERMITTED ELSEWHERE IN THE DOWNTOWN MASTER PLAN.
  
 GENERAL SIGN ZONE:
  
 1) ADD AS GENERAL NOTES FOR ALL SIGNS:
  
 2) NO SIGN SHALL BE INSTALLED IN SUCH A MANNER AS TO
 OBSTRUCT OR PREVENT NORMAL VEHICULAR OPERATION OR
 TRAFFIC VISIBILITY WITHIN A PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY.
  
 3) NO SIGN SHALL BE INSTALLED THAT WOULD OBSTRUCT A

 PROHIBITED SIGNS. AUDIBLE, FLASHING, PAPER SIGNS, AND
 INTERNALLY ILLUMINATED BOX-SIGNS ARE PROHIBITED. SIGNS
 WITH VISIBLE BACKS ARE PROHIBITED. MONUMENTS SIGNS ARE
 PROHIBITED EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY PROVIDED IN THIS

 5) NOTE: THE INTERNALLY ILLUMINATED BOX SIGN IN 3 AND 6

 URBAN PEDESTRIAN DIRECTORY.
  
 4) HOW WILL THE DIRECTIONAL SIGNS BE ILLUMINATED AT
 NIGHT?
  
 THE VALET SIGNS MUST BE DESIGNED TO MATCH THE OTHER
 WAYFINDING SIGNS.
  
 5) THE DETAILED SIGN LOCATION PLANS CONTAIN ERRORS.

 THE ELECTRIC PLAN THAT WAS SUBMITTED WITH THE VALET

 SPOT AS A TYPE 3 SIGN. STAFF WILL ONLY SUPPORT ONE SIGN
 AT THIS LOCATION. THE RIDE SHARE PICK-UP IS NOT
 PERMITTED IN THE ALLEY (A7) AND MUST OCCUR IN THE DROP
 OFF AREA AS PER THE APPROVED PLANS.
