 THE EXIT DISCHARGE AND PUBLIC WAY HAVE BEEN MODIFIED
 FROM THE ORIGINAL PERMITTED DESIGN; THEREFORE, A
 SIGNED/SEALED REVISED LIFE SAFETY PLAN IS NEEDED FROM
 THE ARCHITECT. THE LIFE SAFETY PLAN (SHEET A2.02 FROM
 PERMIT #14050111) INDICATES A POTENTIAL EXITING
 OCCUPANT LOAD OF 1060 PERSONS (320 POOL, 400 JR
 BALLROOM, 340 SERVICE CORRIDOR) ADJACENT TO THE NEWLY
 PROPOSED EXTERIOR STAIR. THE PLAN INDICATES THE STAIR
 IS 15'-3" WIDE; HOWEVER, TO ACCOMMODATE AN OCCUPANT
 LOAD OF 1060 PERSONS, THE STAIRS WOULD NEED TO BE
 26'-6" WIDE (1060 X 0.3 INCHES PER PERSON = 318 INCHES)
 TO AVOID EGRESS STALL. ADDITIONALLY, A POTENTIAL
 EXITING OCCUPANT LOAD OF 1093 PERSONS (652 & 441
 BALLROOMS) EXISTS AT THE 3 SETS OF EXIT DOORS ADJACENT
 (WEST) OF THE LOADING DOCK. DUE TO THE PROPOSED
 LANDSCAPING AND 11 FOOT-HIGH PERIMETER WALL LOCATION,
 THESE 1093 OCCUPANTS WOULD BE FORCED TO TRAVEL THROUGH
 AN UNFAMILIAR HIGHER HAZARD OCCUPANCY (LOADING
 DOCK/STORAGE) TO REACH THE PUBLIC WAY POINT OF SAFETY.
 TRAVEL THROUGH A HIGHER HAZARD OCCUPANCY CLASSIFICATION
 (ASSEMBLY TO STORAGE) IS NOT PERMITTED BY SECTION
 7.5.1.6 OF THE FLORIDA FIRE PREVENTION CODE (NFPA 101).
  
 THE ROAD AND SIDEWALK (AKA "PUBLIC WAY") BETWEEN THE
 CONVENTION CENTER, CONVENTION CENTER GARAGE "TO BE" AND
 THE HILTON HOTEL IS CURRENTLY A DIRT CONSTRUCTION SITE
 ENVELOPED BY CONSTRUCTION FENCING. FIRE EXIT DISCHARGE
 IS REQUIRED TO LEAD TO A PUBLIC WAY; THEREFORE, THE
 PUBLIC WAY NEEDS TO BE COMPLETED TO ALLOW OCCUPANCY OF
 THE HILTON BUILDING.
  
 THE CONVENTION CENTER CULDESAC AND ROAD LEADING FROM
 FLORIDA AVENUE IS A FIRE DEPARTMENT ACCESS ROAD AND
 NEEDS "NO PARKING - FIRE LANE" SIGNAGE AND ROAD
 MARKINGS AS INDICATED ON SHEET C3.03 OF PERMIT

 WILL HIT THE OPEN GATE LEAVING THE SITE. PLEASE NOTE
 THAT SECTION 94-111(M) OF THE ZONING AND LAND
 DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS PROHIBITS THE USE OF PUBLIC
 RIGHTS-OF-WAY FOR MANEUVERING ASSOCIATED WITH BUILDING
 LOADING AREAS, SO BACKING INTO THE STREET (REVERSING
 THE ENTRY MOVEMENT) IS NOT PERMITTED. THIS IS NOT AN
 ISSUE WITH THE CURRENTLY APPROVED GATE ARMS. ZONING
 STAFF WILL NOT APPROVE SWING GATES.
  
 2) THE TURNING RADIUS EXHIBIT SHOWS THE GARBAGE TRUCK
 USING THE WESTERN LOADING SPACE AS MANEUVERING FOR TO
 TURN AROUND TO LEAVE THE SITE TO AVOID HITTING AN OPEN
 SWING GATE. HOW WILL THE TURNAROUND BE ACHIEVED IF
 THERE ARE TRUCKS PARKED IN THE LOADING ZONES? THIS IS
 NOT AN ISSUE WITH THE CURRENTLY APPROVED GATE ARMS.
  
 3) REPEAT COMMENT: THE PLANS SHALL INCLUDE A SHEET TO
 REFLECT THE REVISED MEDIANS AND THE PEDESTRIAN CROSSING
 THAT ARE INCLUDED WITH THE APPROVED CONVENTION CENTER
 GARAGE PLAN. THIS INCLUDES FLORIDA AVENUE AND THE
 CONVENTION CENTER ENTRY DRIVE CROSSING FOR THE GARAGE
 DISCHARGE. PROVIDE THE TURNING RADIUS PLANS TO SHOW THE
 TRUCKS ENTERING AND LEAVING THE LOADING AREA WITH THE
 NEW CONFIGURATION. THE LATEST PLANS SUBMITTED TO THE
 CITY FAIL TO SHOW THE FINAL CONFIGURATION OF THE
 MEDIANS AS SHOWN ON THE PARKING GARAGE APPROVED PLANS,
 BUT RATHER SHOW ONLY THE GHOSTED ADDITION OF THE
 PEDESTRIAN CROSSING MEDIAN. THE TURNING MOVEMENTS SHOW
 TRUCKS HITTING THIS MEDIAN.
  
 4) REPEAT COMMENT: THE SIDEWALK SOUTH OF THE WALL SHALL
 BE ILLUMINATED FOR SAFETY WITH LIGHT FIXTURES THAT
 MATCH THOSE USED FOR THE HOTEL. THIS MAY REQUIRE
 MOUNTING LIGHTING TO THE WALL. THE SHEET THAT WAS
 SUBMITTED TO SHOW THE LOCATIONS OF THE GARAGE LIGHTING
 FAILS TO SHOW THAT THE SIDEWALK WILL BE SAFELY
 ILLUMINATED.
  
 5) REPEAT COMMENT: THE ENGINEER STAMPED DRAWING WITH
 THE BUILDING PERMIT SHOW THE WALL AT TEN FEET IN HEIGHT
 WHILE SHEET LS503 LD SHOWS THE WALL AT 11 FEET IN
 HEIGHT. ALL PLANS SHALL SHOW THE SAME WALL HEIGHT.

 STATUS OF THESE PALMS?
  
 4) THE CIVIL PLANS SHALL BE UPDATED TO REFLECT THE GATE
 ARMS MOVED CLOSER TO THE INTERSECTION AS SHOWN ON THE
 HARDSCAPE AND LANDSCAPE PLANS.
  
 5) THE PLANS SHALL BE UPDATED TO REFLECT THE REVISED
 MEDIANS AND THE PEDESTRIAN CROSSING THAT ARE INCLUDED
 WITH THE APPROVED CONVENTION CENTER GARAGE PLAN. THIS
 INCLUDES FLORIDA AVENUE AND THE CONVENTION CENTER ENTRY
 DRIVE CROSSING FOR THE GARAGE DISCHARGE.
  
 6) THERE SHALL BE LIGHTING THAT MATCHES THE LIGHT
