1. Expand the first floor of the accessory structure by approximately 114 square feet on the front (east) elevation. The addition will feat ure a paneled wood garage door with an over-hang surfaced with a coppe r 5 V-crimp roof supported by cypress brackets. The exterior walls of the addition will be inset 1" from the existing structure to differen tiate the addition from the historic structure. 2. Remove one window on the first floor, east elevation of the accesso ry structure. 3. Remove the existing swing door and install a single swing door on t he first floor, south elevation of the accessory structure. 4. Remove the existing hip roof from the accessory structure to allow for construction of a second-story addition consisting of approximatel y 447 square feet. The addition will be surfaced in textured stucco a nd feature a hip roof surfaced with asphalt shingles to match the cont ributing primary and accessory structures. The exterior walls will be inset 3/4" from the first floor to provide differentiation from the c ontributing structure and to comply with minimum setback requirements. A 6" stucco band at the base of the second-story addition is also pr oposed as a means to distinguish the historic structure from the addit ion. The second-story addition will feature single-hung aluminum impa ct-resistant windows with black frames and clear glazing in a 6/1 pane configuration to match the primary residence.
