The Historic Preservation Division reviewed an application for the con tributing property located at 349 Granada Road within the El Cid Histo ric District. The applicant requested approval for the following alte rations: 1. Replace three (3) multi-light casement style windows with PGT alumi num, impact-resistant casement style windows with a multi-light patter n on the first floor of the primary structure. 2. Replace four (4) jalousie windows with PGT aluminum, impact-resista nt casement style windows and four (4) arched fixed transoms above on the first floor of the primary structure. 3. Replace six (6) awning style windows with PGT aluminum, impact-resi stant casement style windows and six (6) arched fixed transoms above o n the first floor of the primary structure. 4. Replace two (2) single-hung windows with a 6/1 pane configuration w ith PGT aluminum impact-resistant single hung windows with an 8/8 conf iguration on the first floor of the primary structure. 5. Remove two (2) casement windows and install two (2) PGT aluminum, i mpact-resistant single-hung windows with a 2/2 configuration on the fi rst floor of the primary structure. 6. Replace two (2) single-hung windows with a 6/1 pane configuration w ith two (2) PGT aluminum, impact-resistant single-hung windows with a 6/6 pane configuration on the first floor of the primary structure. 7. Remove one (1) casement windows on the side elevation and install t wo (2) single-hung windows with a 1/1 pane configuration. 8. Remove sixteen (16) awning windows on the second floor of the prima ry structure and install sixteen (16) PGT aluminum, impact-resistant s ingle-hung windows with a 1/1 pane configuration. 9. Remove two (2) multi-light casement on the second story and install two (2) PGT aluminum, impact-resistant single-hung window with a 1/1 pane configuration. 10. Replace the aluminum garage door with a pair of PGT aluminum, impa ct-resistant, multi-light French doors with sidelights on the accessor y structure. 11. Replace five (5) awning windows on the accessory structure with PG T aluminum impact-resistant single-hung windows with a 1/1 pane config uration. 12. Replace three (3) multi-light awning windows on the accessory stru cture with PGT aluminum impact-resistant single-hung windows with a3/3 pane configuration. 13. Replace two (2) multi-light casement style windows flanking one (1 ) fixed multi-light window with one (1) PGT horizontal roller. 14. Replace single multi-light swing door with a PGT multi-light swing door. The Historic Preservation Division approved the application with the f ollowing conditions: 1. All single-hung windows proposed for installation on the primary st ructure shall feature a 6/1 light pattern to reflect the historic fene stration pattern consistent with the Mediterranean Revival style, with the exception of openings 21, 24, 34, 38 according to the window and door schedule submitted by the applicant. 2. The existing multi-light casements flanking the multi-light fixed w indow on the accessory structure shall be retained or replaced with a combination of casement, fixed and/or single-hung multi-light windows within the existing opening..
