 AMENDMENTS TO THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, CHAPTER 1,
 ADMINISTRATION
  
 2020 EXISTING BUILDING CODE. 801.3 COMPLIANCE. ALL NEW
 CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND SPACES
 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 1) SHEET A101A THE PROPOSED FLOOR PLAN SHOWS THE
 KITCHEN ISLAND BEING RECONFIGURED. THERE IS A NOTE IN
 THE UPPER RIGHT-HAND CORNER, POST TENSION STRUCTURE
 WARNING DO NOT DRILL OR CUT, OR CORE DRILL SLAB OR
 CEILING. HOW WILL THE KITCHEN ISLAND PLUMBING BE
 RELOCATED WITHOUT CORE DRILLING THE SLAB?
  
 POST TENSION SLAB/ NEW HOLES. THE PLAN IS SILENT AS IF
 THE LOCATION OF THE EXISTING KITCHEN ISLAND DRAIN IS
 GOING TO BE REUSED IN THE SAME LOCATION. IF NOT, THEN
 THE FLOOR SLAB WILL NEED TO BE X-RAYED TO FIND THE POST
 TENSION CHORD LOCATIONS. 107.2.1.2. ADDITIONAL
 INFORMATION IS REQUIRED.
  
 2) THROUGH-PENETRATIONS FIRESTOP SYSTEMS (HORIZONTAL
 ASSEMBLIES). IF A NEW FLOOR PENETRATION IS MADE FOR THE
 FUTURE SHOWER DRAIN, THEN YOU NEED TO SHOW COMPLIANCE
 WITH THE 2020 FBC-B SECTION 714.5.1.2.
 THROUGH-PENETRATIONS FIRESTOP SYSTEMS (HORIZONTAL
 ASSEMBLIES). THROUGH PENETRATIONS SHALL BE PROTECTED BY
 A THROUGH PENETRATION FIRESTOP SYSTEM INSTALLED IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E814 OR UL 1479. THE SYSTEM SHALL
 HAVE AN F RATING / T RATING OF NOT LESS THAN 1 HOUR BUT
 NOT LESS THAN THE REQUIRED RATING OF THE FLOOR
 PENETRATED.
  
 3) PLEASE NOTE THE PLANS ARE REFENCING CODE SECTIONS
 THAT ARE BEING TAKEN FROM THE RESIDENTIAL CODE (1 & 2
 FAMILY CODE, NOT THE 2020 FBC-BUILDING CODE, R2
 OCCUPANCIES, APARTMENTS AND CONDOMINIUMS, 2020
 FBC-BUILDING SECTION 310.4.
  
 4) THE FLOOR PLAN 101C INDICATES INTERIOR ROOMS TO
 RECEIVE TL-2S PORCELAIN TILE. FLOOR INSULATION/
 UNDERLAYMENT (FBC-B 2020) FOR TILE, STONE, MARBLE,
 FLOORING ALL NEED TO HAVE HAD THE SOUND UNDERLAYMENT
 TESTED FLOOR ASSEMBLIES TO THE FOLLOWING STANDARDS AND
 MEET THE QUALIFICATIONS LISTED UNDER EACH OF THE
 STANDARDS FOR A 6-INCH CONCRETE FLOOR ASSEMBLY/ NO
 DROPPED CEILING:
 PLEASE PROVIDE ALL THREE TEST REPORTS FOR TYPE I AND OR
 TYPE II BUILDINGS SHOWING COMPLIANCE WITH:
  
 4A) FBC-B 2020 1207.3 STRUCTURE-BORNE SOUND.
 FLOOR/CEILING ASSEMBLIES BETWEEN DWELLING UNITS OR
 BETWEEN A DWELLING UNIT AND A PUBLIC OR SERVICE AREA
 WITHIN THE STRUCTURE SHALL HAVE AN IMPACT INSULATION
 CLASS (IIC) RATING OF NOT LESS THAN 50 (45 IF FIELD
 TESTED) WHEN TESTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E-492.
  
 4B) FBC-B 2020 1207.2 AIR-BORNE SOUND. WALLS,
 PARTITIONS AND FLOOR/CEILING ASSEMBLIES SEPARATING
 DWELLING UNITS FROM EACH OTHER OR FROM PUBLIC OR
 SERVICE AREAS SHALL HAVE A SOUND TRANSMISSION CLASS
 (STC) OF NOT LESS THAN 50 (45 IF FIELD TESTED) FOR
 AIR-BORNE NOISE WHEN TESTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E
 90.
  
 4C) FLAME SPREAD- FBC-B 2020 603.1. EXCEPTION 2. (TILE
 & MARBLE) INSULATION INSTALLED BETWEEN A FINISHED FLOOR
 AND SOLID DECKING WITHOUT INTERVENING AIRSPACE SHALL BE
 ALLOWED TO HAVE A FLAME SPREAD INDEX OF NOT MORE THAN
 200.
 FLAME SPREAD INDEX. A COMPARATIVE MEASURE, EXPRESSED AS
 A DIMENSIONLESS NUMBER, DERIVED FROM VISUAL
 MEASUREMENTS OF THE SPREAD OF FLAME VERSUS TIME FOR A
 MATERIAL TESTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E 84 OR UL 723.
  
 5) THE FLOOR PLAN 101C INDICATES EXTERIOR BALCONIES ARE
 TO RECEIVE SLIP RESISTANT TILE. PLEASE BE AWARE THE
 BALCONIES IN MOST CONDOMINIUM DOCUMENTS ARE BEYOND THE
 WALL LINE OF THE CONDO OWNERSHIP, PLEASE PROVIDE
 WRITTEN PERMISSION FROM THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
 APPROVING THE INSTALLATION OF TILE ON BALCONIES. THIS
 LETTER TO BE NOTARIZED.
  
 6) FLOOR INSULATION/ UNDERLAYMENT (FBC-B 2020) FOR
 TILE, STONE, MARBLE FLOORING ALL NEED TO HAVE HAD THE
