 ADMINISTRATION
  
 2020 EXISTING BUILDING CODE. 801.3 COMPLIANCE. ALL NEW
 CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND SPACES
 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 ACTION: DENIED NOTEE PICTURE SUBMITTED THROUGH E-MAIL
 SHOWING THE LOCATION OF THE EXISTING DRAIN. SHANE
 SCHANS ALBRIGHT 561-644-1674.
  
 1) THE PLANS ARE SILENT AS TO THE EXISTING DRAIN PIPE
 AND WHERE IT WAS CAPPED, WILL THERE BE ANY NEW
 PENETRATIONS THROUGH THE FLOOR SLAB. POST TENSION SLAB/
 NEW HOLES. THE PLAN IS SILENT AS IF THE LOCATION OF THE
 EXISTING TUB DRAIN IS GOING TO BE REUSED IN THE SAME
 LOCATION. IF NOT, THEN THE FLOOR SLAB WILL NEED TO BE
 X-RAYED TO FIND THE POST TENSION CHORD LOCATIONS.
 107.2.1.2. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION IS REQUIRED.
  
 2) THROUGH-PENETRATIONS FIRESTOP SYSTEMS (HORIZONTAL
 ASSEMBLIES). IF A NEW FLOOR PENETRATION IS MADE FOR THE
 FUTURE SHOWER DRAIN, THEN YOU NEED TO SHOW COMPLIANCE
 WITH THE 2020 FBC-B SECTION 714.5.1.2.
 THROUGH-PENETRATIONS FIRESTOP SYSTEMS (HORIZONTAL
 ASSEMBLIES). THROUGH PENETRATIONS SHALL BE PROTECTED BY
 A THROUGH PENETRATION FIRESTOP SYSTEM INSTALLED IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E814 OR UL 1479. THE SYSTEM SHALL
 HAVE AN F RATING / T RATING OF NOT LESS THAN 1 HOUR BUT
 NOT LESS THAN THE REQUIRED RATING OF THE FLOOR
 PENETRATED.
  
 3) A TRANSMITTAL LETTER / NARRATIVE LISTING THE
 ORIGINAL REVIEW COMMENT NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF
 THE REVISION MADE, IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR
 SPECIFICATION PAGE WHERE THE CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL
 HELP TO EXPEDITE YOUR PERMIT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR
 ANTICIPATED COOPERATION.
