 RESPONSE:
 ARCHITECT'S RESPONSE LETTER STATES THERE IS AN EXISTING
 ROOF. A RESEARCH WAS DONE TO VERIFY EXISTING ROOF. THE
 RESEARCH WAS DONE BECAUSE PLANS SUBMITTED SHOW AN
 EXISTING CARPORT THAT IS SITTING RIGHT ON THE PROPERTY
 LINE. ACCORDING TO CITY RECORDS, THERE ARE NO PERMITS
 FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THIS CARPORT. ALSO, LOOKING AT
 THE PROPERTY APPRAISER AERIAL MAPS, IT WAS FOUND THAT
 THE 2009 AERIAL MAP DOESN'T SHOW THE CARPORT, BUT THE
 2012 AERIAL MAP DOES SHOW THE CARPORT. THERE ARE NO
 PERMIT APPLICATIONS SUBMITTED TO THE CITY DURING THIS
 TIME.
 BASED ON THIS, A PERMIT IS REQUIRED FOR THE CARPORT
 CONSTRUCTION.
 NOTE: COORDINATE WITH ZONING FOR REQUIRED SETBACKS. IT
 LOOKS LIKE IT MAY NOT BE ALLOWED BY ZONING. IF THE
 CARPORT IS NOT ALLOWED, THEN IT NEEDS TO BE REMOVED.
