 2020 EXISTING BUILDING CODE. 801.3 COMPLIANCE. ALL NEW
 CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND SPACES
 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 ACTION: DENIED
  
 1) LIFE SAFETY PLAN:
 1A) THE OCCUPANCY LOAD SHOWN OF 36 PERSONS FROM TABLE
 1004.5 OF THE 2020 FBC-BUILDING CODE. THE OCCUPANT LOAD
 SHOWN ON THE LIFE SAFETY PLAN WILL BE OVER 50 PERSONS.
 PLEASE PROVIDE WHAT THE INCREASED OCCUPANT LOAD WILL BE
 IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 1004.2 OF THE 2020
 FBC-BUILDING CODE.
  
 1B) HEADING CODE REQUIREMENTS. LIST THE REQUIREMENTS
 THAT 2 EXITS ARE REQUIRED, 3 PROVIDED. BECAUSE OF THE
 CLOSENESS OF THE 2 FRONT EXITS (LESS THAN 1/3RD OVERALL
 DIAGONAL DISTANCE APART) THE BACK EXIT THROUGH THE LAB
 IS A CONCERN. LOOKING AT THE BASE BUILDING PLAN FOR 360
 ROSEMARY THERE IS AN ELEVATED EXIT PASSAGEWAY THAT
 PASSES JUST BEHIND THIS TENANT SPACE, THE NORTH WALL OF
 THIS TENANT SPACE ROOMS 143 & 144. WHEN EXITING THROUGH
 THE LAB WHERE ARE YOU GOING, WHAT ROOM IS SHOWN HOW ARE
 YOU EXITING TO THE PUBLIC WAY. 2020 FBC-BUILDING CODE
 1007.1.1 & 1028.5.
  
 1C) THIS SAME EXIT PASSAGEWAY TO THE EXTERIOR OF THE
 BUILDING IS A 2-HOUR ENCLOSURE, THE BACK WALLS OF ROOMS
 143 & 144 IT APPEARS WOULD BE PART OF THE 2-HOUR
 ENCLOSURE. THE LEGEND SHOWS THE BACK WALL AS A 1-HOUR
 WALL. SECTION 1024.3 CONSTRUCTION IS THE SAME AS THE
 VERTICAL EXIT STAIRS, OVER4 STORIES 2 HOURS.
  
 1D) LIFE SAFETY PLAN & A1.12-DIMENSION PLAN.A1.11 DOOR
 TAGS. CLOSET DOORS 131, 132 & TOILET ROOM 111 (DOOR
 TAGS 36,37,& 38) IT APPEARS ARE OVER THE REQUIRED WIDTH
 OF THE CORRIDOR MORE THAN ONE-HALF. 1005.7.1. TABLE
 1020.2. CORRIDOR 44 INCHES X ?= 22 INCHES. 22 +36 = 58
 INCHES MIN. CORRIDOR WIDTH, CORRIDOR 133.
  
 1E)THE LIFE SAFETY PLAN NOR A1.12-DIMENSION FLOOR PLAN
 PROVIDE THE SQUARE FOOTAGE OF ROOM 123 DIRTY LAUNDRY
 STORAGE ROOM ASSUMED. TABLE 509 IN THE 2020 FBC-BUILD.
 CODE STATES LAUNDRY ROOMS OVER 100 SQ. FT. 1HR OR FIRE
 SPRINKLERS. PLEASE ALSO READ THE SECTION 509.4.2
 PROTECTION WALLS CAPABLE OF RESISTING SMOKE, WALLS
 SHALL EXTEND TO THE UNDERSIDE OF THE CEILING THAT IS A
 COMPONENT OF A FIRE RESISTANCE RATED FLOOR CEILING
 ASSEMBLY. DOORS SHALL BE SELF OR AUTOMATIC CLOSING.
  
 2) IF-300 TOILET ELEVATIONS. ELEVATION BACK WALL OF
 RESTROOM WITH W. C. DOES NOT SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH: 2020
 FBC-B 1210.2.2. WALLS & PARTITIONS. THIS COMMENT IS A
 RESULT OF THE BUILDING OFFICIAL INTERPRETATION ON
 06/2020. IN BATHROOMS, RESTROOMS & SERVICE SINK AREAS
 EPOXY PAINT IS NO LONGER CONSIDERED A SMOOTH HARD,
 NON-ABSORBENT SURFACE.
  
 2A) 1210.2.2 WALLS & PARTITIONS WITHIN 2 FEET OF
 SERVICE SINKS, URINALS, AND WATER CLOSETS SHALL HAVE A
 SMOOTH, HARD, NON-ABSORBENT SURFACE TO A HEIGHT OF NOT
 LESS THAN 4 FEET ABOVE THE FLOOR, EXCEPT FOR STRUCTURAL
 ELEMENTS, THE MATERIAL USED IN SUCH WALLS SHALL BE OF A
 TYPE THAT IS NOT ADVERSELY AFFECTED BY MOISTURE.

 SHALL COMPLY WITH 1210.2.
