 INTERPRETATION ON 06/2020. IN BATHROOMS, RESTROOMS &
 SERVICE SINK AREAS EPOXY PAINT IS NO LONGER CONSIDERED
 A SMOOTH HARD, NON-ABSORBENT SURFACE.
  
 1A) 1210.2.2 WALLS & PARTITIONS WITHIN 2 FEET OF
 SERVICE SINKS, URINALS, AND WATER CLOSETS SHALL HAVE A
 SMOOTH, HARD, NON-ABSORBENT SURFACE TO A HEIGHT OF NOT
 LESS THAN 4 FEET ABOVE THE FLOOR, EXCEPT FOR STRUCTURAL
 ELEMENTS, THE MATERIAL USED IN SUCH WALLS SHALL BE OF A
 TYPE THAT IS NOT ADVERSELY AFFECTED BY MOISTURE.
  
 1B) 2509.1. WET AREAS. SHOWERS AND PUBLIC TOILET WALLS
 SHALL COMPLY WITH 1210.2.

 DOORS. 2020 FBC-ACCESSIBILITY CODE. PLEASE REVIEW
 SECTION 603.2.3. DOORS SHALL NOT SWING INTO THE CLEAR
 FLOOR SPACE OR CLEARANCES REQUIRED FOR ANY FIXTURE.
 DOORS SHALL BE PERMITTED TO SWING INTO THE REQUIRED
 TURNING SPACE. PLEASE SEE EXCEPTION 2. WHERE TOILET
 ROOMS ARE FOR INDIVIDUAL USE AND A CLEAR FLOORS SPACE
 COMPLYING WITH 305.3 IS PROVIDED WITHIN THE ROOM BEYOND
 THE ARC OF THE DOOR SWING. WHAT IS MISSING IS THE
 REQUIRED 30X48 INCH CLEAR FLOOR SPACE BEYOND THE ARC OF
 THE DOOR. USUALLY AT A 45% ANGLE TO THE DOOR ENTRANCE.
