2022-03-23 12:32:41THIS PLAN WAS REVIEWED AND FAILED BY PETER LEDUC, FIRE
 MARSHAL, WITH THE FOLLOWING COMMENTS:
  
 1) THERE IS AN INDICATION OF THE SPEC SHEET FOR THE
 FLOOR UNDERLAYMENT, BUT NO SPEC SHEET NOR A PRODUCT
 NAME FOR THE ACTUAL PROPOSED TILE FLOORING.
  
 PER SHEET PROP COND UNDER FLOOR FINISH IT INDICATES
 WITHIN THE MODEL NAME/NUMBER COLUMN FLOOR FINISH T.B.D.
 AND UNDER THE FIRE PERFORMANCE COLUMN INDICATES A
 CRITICAL RADIANT FLUX BUT ALSO A FIRE RESISTIVE WALL,
 WHICH IS NOT APPLICABLE.
  
 TILE FLOORING MAY HAVE DIFFERENT TYPE
 MEANINGS/DEFINITIONS AND IS MANUFACTURED AROUND THE
 WORLD AND NOT ALL ARE TESTED AND MEETING LISTED AND
 NFPA STANDARDS.
  
 PER NFPA 101, CH 30
  
 30.3.3.3 INTERIOR FLOOR FINISH.
 30.3.3.1 GENERAL. INTERIOR FINISH SHALL BE IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH
 SECTION 10.2.
  
 10.2.7.2* FLOOR COVERINGS, OTHER THAN CARPET FOR WHICH
 10.2.2.2
 ESTABLISHES REQUIREMENTS FOR FIRE PERFORMANCE, SHALL
 HAVE A
 MINIMUM CRITICAL RADIANT FLUX OF 0.1 W/CM2.
  
 FOR THE OFFICIAL RECORD, PLEASE PROVIDE THE FLOORING
 PRODUCT NAME AND THE PRODUCT SPEC SHEETS OF THE
 PROPOSED FINISHED FLOORING INDICATING THE FIRE BEHAVIOR
 RATING.
  
 IF THE PROPOSED FLOORING IS PORCELAIN/CERAMIC TILE,
 NATURAL STONE TILE, CONCRETE TILES, PRODUCT SPEC SHEETS
 WOULD NOT BE REQUIRED.
  
 PRODUCT SPEC SHEETS ARE REQUIRED FOR LVT, VINYL
 FLOORING, WOOD/VINYL LAMINATES, ETC.
  
  
 2) THERE ARE INDICATIONS OF BATHROOM TUB WORK IN TH
 MASTER BATH THAT MAY AFFECT THE FIRE RATED
 TENANT/CORRIDOR SEPARATION WALLS,
  
 ENSURE FIRE RATED TENANT SEPARATION WALLS ARE REPAIRED
 TO THE EXISTING FIRE RATED SEPARATION.
  
 PROVIDE AN APPLICABLE NOTE OF ACKNOWLEDGMENT.
  
  
  
 3) THERE ARE INDICATIONS OF REMOVING A WALL IN THE
 KITCHEN/LIVING AREA.
  
 REMOVAL OF WALLS REQUIRES A CODE COMPLIANT SPRINKLER
 HEAD COVERAGE REVIEW BY A FIRE SPRINKLER CONTRACTOR.
  
 ALL FIRE SPRINKLER WORK SHALL BE DONE UNDER SEPARATE
 PERMIT AND SHOP DRAWINGS.
  
 PROTECT FIRE SPRINKLERS AND FIRE ALARM DEVICES AND
 EQUIPMENT.
  
 DO NOT PAINT OVER SPRINKLER HEADS AND/OR FIRE ALARM
 DEVICES/EQUIPMENT.
  
 THE FS AND FA SYSTEMS SHALL BE MAINTAINED THROUGHOUT
 DEMO AND CONSTRUCTION.
  
 PLEASE REVIEW, ENSURE COMPLIANCE AND PROVIDE A NOTE OF
 ACKNOWLEDGEMENT ON THE FLOOR PLAN.
  
  
  
  
 4) WHEN RESUBMITTING, PLEASE PROVIDE PLAN SHEET
 REVISION CLOUDS OR NUMBERED NARRATIVE RESPONSES TO THE
 ABOVE.
  
  
 5) ADDITIONAL COMMENTS MAY BE PROVIDED ON THE
 RE-SUBMITTAL OF THE ABOVE.
