 ADMINISTRATION
  
 2020 EXISTING BUILDING CODE. 801.3 COMPLIANCE. ALL NEW
 CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND SPACES
 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 1) THE TITLE SHEET INDICATES SUPPLIED BY OWNER, DOORS,
 ALL REQUIRED PLUMBING FIXTURES SHELVING, CLOSET
 BUILDOUTS AND TILE. THESE ARE FACTORS THAT ARE REQUIRED
 TO BE INCLUDED INTO THE PERMIT VALUE.
  
 W 2020 WEST PALM BEACH AMENDMENTS TO THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, CHAPTER 1, ADMINISTRATION 109.3 BUILDING
 PERMIT VALUATION. IF, IN THE OPINION OF THE BUILDING
 OFFICIAL, THE CLAIMED VALUATION OF BUILDING,
 ALTERATION, STRUCTURE, ELECTRICAL, GAS, MECHANICAL, OR
 PLUMBING SYSTEMS APPEARS TO BE UNDERESTIMATED ON THE
 APPLICATION, THE PERMIT SHALL BE DENIED. FOR PERMITTING
 PURPOSES, VALUATION OF BUILDINGS AND SYSTEMS SHALL BE
 TOTAL REPLACEMENT PURPOSES, VALUATION OF BUILDINGS AND
 SYSTEMS SHALL BE THE TOTAL REPLACEMENT VALUE TO INCLUDE
 STRUCTURAL, ELECTRICAL, PLUMBING, MECHANICAL, INTERIOR
 FINISHES, NORMAL SITE WORK (EXCAVATION AND BACKFILL FOR
 BUILDINGS), ARCHITECTURAL AND DESIGN FEES, MARKETING
 COST, OVERHEAD AND PROFIT; EXCLUDING ONLY LAND VALUE.
 VALUATION REFERENCES MAY INCLUDE THE LATEST PUBLISHED
 DATA OF NATIONAL CONSTRUCTION COST ANALYSIS SERVICES
 (MARSHALL-SWIFT, MEANS, ETC.) WITH REGIONAL ADJUSTMENTS
 FOR LOCATION AS PUBLISHED BY THE INTERNATIONAL CODE
 CONGRESS.
  
 2) SHEET A101 THE DOOR SCHEDULE SHOWS DOOR 105A A
 2-FOOT-WIDE DOOR. 2020 FBC-B 1010.1.1. SIZE OF DOORS.
 CLEAR WIDTH. DOOR OPENINGS SHALL PROVIDE A CLEAR WIDTH
 OF 32 INCHES MINIMUM. CLEAR OPENINGS OF DOORWAYS WITH
 SWINGING DOORS SHALL BE MEASURED BETWEEN THE FACE OF
 THE DOOR AND THE STOP, WITH THE DOOR OPEN AT 90
 DEGREES.
  
 3) SHEET A101. THE DOOR SCHEDULE, HARDWARE SCHEDULE IS
 BLANK. 2020 WEST PALM BEACH AMENDMENTS TO THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, CHAPTER 1, ADMINISTRATION 107.2.1.
 CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS SHALL BE SUFFICIENT CLARITY TO
 INDICATE THE LOCATION, NATURE AND EXTENT OF THE WORK
 PROPOSED AND SHOW IN DETAIL THAT IT WILL CONFORM TO THE
 PROVISIONS OF THIS CODE AND RELEVANT LAWS, ORDINANCES,
 RULES AND REGULATIONS, AS DETERMINED BY THE BUILDING
 OFFICIAL.
  
 3A) DOOR SCHEDULE PLEASE NOTE THE FRONT ENTRY DOOR 101A
 AND DOOR 119 TO THE UNIT AIR HANDLER ROOM DO NOT SHOW A
 FIRE RATING OF THE CORRIDOR IN ACCORDANCE WITH TABLE
 1020.1 NOR DOORS IN ACCORDANCE WITH TABLE 716.5.
  
 4) SHEET A101, THE ROOM FINISH SCHEDULE WALL AND NOTES
 ARE BLANK.
 2020 WEST PALM BEACH AMENDMENTS TO THE FLORIDA BUILDING
 CODE, CHAPTER 1, ADMINISTRATION 107.2.1.
 CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS SHALL BE SUFFICIENT CLARITY TO

 INTERPRETATION ON 06/2020. IN BATHROOMS, RESTROOMS &
 SERVICE SINK AREAS EPOXY PAINT IS NO LONGER CONSIDERED
 A SMOOTH HARD, NON-ABSORBENT SURFACE.
  
 4B) 1210.2.2 WALLS & PARTITIONS WITHIN 2 FEET OF
 SERVICE SINKS, URINALS, AND WATER CLOSETS SHALL HAVE A
 SMOOTH, HARD, NON-ABSORBENT SURFACE TO A HEIGHT OF NOT
 LESS THAN 4 FEET ABOVE THE FLOOR, EXCEPT FOR STRUCTURAL
 ELEMENTS, THE MATERIAL USED IN SUCH WALLS SHALL BE OF A
 TYPE THAT IS NOT ADVERSELY AFFECTED BY MOISTURE.
  
 4C) 2509.1. WET AREAS. SHOWERS AND PUBLIC TOILET WALLS
 SHALL COMPLY WITH 1210.2.
  
 4D) 1210.2. FINISH MATERIALS. WALLS, BASE, FLOORS AND
 PARTITIONS IN TOILET AND BATHROOMS SHALL COMPLY WITH
 SECTIONS 1210.1 THROUGH 1210.4.
  
 5A) THE FINISH ROOM SCHEDULE SHOW ROOM CEILING HEIGHTS
 BUT THERE ARE NO DETAILS FOR DROPPED CEILINGS OR
 SOFFITS. DETAILS SHALL INCLUDE THE TYPE OF FRAMING
 MATERIAL TO BE USED FOR HORIZONTAL SPANS, SIZE OF
 FRAMING, SPACING, SPAN, IF MID SPAN SUPPORTS ARE USED,
 ANCHORING INTO THE CONCRETE DECK ABOVE, TYPE AND LENGTH
 AND TYPE OF FINISH MATERIAL AND THICKNESS. 2020
 FBC-BUILDING TABLE 2508.1 ASTM C745.
  
 5B) 2020 FBC-B SECTION 1208.2 MINIMUM CEILING HEIGHTS.
 PLEASE NOTE HABITABLE SPACES AND CORRIDORS SHALL HAVE
 CEILING HEIGHTS OF NOT THAN 7 FEET 6 INCHES, BATHROOMS,
 TOILET ROOMS, KITCHENS, STORAGE ROOMS AND LAUNDRY ROOMS
 SHALL NOT HAVE CEILING HEIGHT OF NOT LESS THAN 7 FEET.
 6) NEW LAYOUT FOR RESTROOMS, POWDER ROOM, AND KITCHEN
 DRAIN LOCATIONS THROUGH THE FLOOR PLEASE SHOW
 COMPLIANCE WITH:
  
 6A) POST TENSION SLAB/ NEW HOLES. THE PLAN IS SILENT AS
 IF THE LOCATION OF THE EXISTING TUB DRAIN IS GOING TO
 BE REUSED IN THE SAME LOCATION. IF NOT, THEN THE FLOOR
 SLAB WILL NEED TO BE X-RAYED TO FIND THE POST TENSION
 CHORD LOCATIONS. 107.2.1.2. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION IS
 REQUIRED.
  
 6B) THROUGH-PENETRATIONS FIRESTOP SYSTEMS (HORIZONTAL
 ASSEMBLIES). IF A NEW FLOOR PENETRATION IS MADE FOR THE
 FUTURE SHOWER DRAIN, THEN YOU NEED TO SHOW COMPLIANCE
 WITH THE 2020 FBC-B SECTION 714.5.1.2.
 THROUGH-PENETRATIONS FIRESTOP SYSTEMS (HORIZONTAL
 ASSEMBLIES). THROUGH PENETRATIONS SHALL BE PROTECTED BY
 A THROUGH PENETRATION FIRESTOP SYSTEM INSTALLED IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E814 OR UL 1479. THE SYSTEM SHALL
 HAVE AN F RATING / T RATING OF NOT LESS THAN 1 HOUR BUT
 NOT LESS THAN THE REQUIRED RATING OF THE FLOOR
 PENETRATED.
  
 6C) TENANT SEPARATION WALLS (FIRE PARTITIONS)
 SEPARATING DWELLING UNITS ARE TO MAINTAIN THEIR FIRE
 RATING IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 708 OF THE 2020
 FBC-BUILDING CODE.
  
 6D) TENANT SEPARATION WALLS SHALL BE FIRE RESISTANCE
 RATED ASSEMBLIES AND THROUGH PENETRATION FIRE STOP
 SYSTEMS IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E814 OR UL 1479 PROVIDE
 DETAILS OF FIRE STOP SYSTEMS.
  
 7) FLOOR INSULATION/ UNDERLAYMENT (FBC-B 2020) FOR
 TILE, STONE, MARBLE, VINYL (LYT/ LYP), LAMINATE
 FLOORING AND WOOD FLOORING ALL NEED TO HAVE HAD THE
 SOUND UNDERLAYMENT TESTED FLOOR ASSEMBLIES TO THE
 FOLLOWING STANDARDS AND MEET THE QUALIFICATIONS LISTED
 UNDER EACH OF THE STANDARDS FOR A 6 INCH CONCRETE FLOOR
 ASSEMBLY/ NO DROPPED CEILING:
 PLEASE PROVIDE ALL THREE TEST REPORTS FOR TYPE I AND OR
 TYPE II BUILDINGS SHOWING COMPLIANCE WITH:
  
 7A) FBC-B 2020 1207.3 STRUCTURE-BORNE SOUND.
 FLOOR/CEILING ASSEMBLIES BETWEEN DWELLING UNITS OR
 BETWEEN A DWELLING UNIT AND A PUBLIC OR SERVICE AREA
 WITHIN THE STRUCTURE SHALL HAVE AN IMPACT INSULATION
 CLASS (IIC) RATING OF NOT LESS THAN 50 (45 IF FIELD
 TESTED) WHEN TESTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E-492.
  
 7B) FBC-B 2020 1207.2 AIR-BORNE SOUND. WALLS,
 PARTITIONS AND FLOOR/CEILING ASSEMBLIES SEPARATING
 DWELLING UNITS FROM EACH OTHER OR FROM PUBLIC OR
 SERVICE AREAS SHALL HAVE A SOUND TRANSMISSION CLASS
 (STC) OF NOT LESS THAN 50 (45 IF FIELD TESTED) FOR
 AIR-BORNE NOISE WHEN TESTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E
 90.
  
 7C) FLAME SPREAD- FBC-B 2020 603.1. EXCEPTION 2.
 INSULATION INSTALLED BETWEEN A FINISHED FLOOR AND SOLID
 DECKING WITHOUT INTERVENING AIRSPACE SHALL BE ALLOWED
 TO HAVE A FLAME SPREAD INDEX OF NOT MORE THAN 200.
  
 FLAME SPREAD INDEX. A COMPARATIVE MEASURE, EXPRESSED AS
 A DIMENSIONLESS NUMBER, DERIVED FROM VISUAL
 MEASUREMENTS OF THE SPREAD OF FLAME VERSUS TIME FOR A
 MATERIAL TESTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E 84 OR UL 723.
  
 8) A TRANSMITTAL LETTER / NARRATIVE LISTING THE
 ORIGINAL REVIEW COMMENT NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF
 THE REVISION MADE, IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR
 SPECIFICATION PAGE WHERE THE CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL
 HELP TO EXPEDITE YOUR PERMIT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR
