 2020 EXISTING BUILDING CODE. 801.3 COMPLIANCE. ALL NEW
 CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND SPACES
 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 1) THE COVER SHEET UNDER SCOPE OF WORK IT STATES LEVEL
 1 ALTERATION CONSISTING OF THE ADDITION OF A SHOWER AND
 INSTANT HOT WATER HEATER IN AN INDUSTRIAL WAREHOUSE
 TOILET ROOM.
 PLEASE REVIEW THE CLASSIFICATION OF WORK IN THE 2020
 FBC-EXISTING BUILDING CODE504.1 ALTERATION- LEVEL2.
 LEVEL 2 ALTERATIONS INCLUDE THE RECONFIGURATION OF
 SPACE, THE ADDITION OR ELIMINATION OF ANY DOOR OR
 WINDOW, THE RECONFIGURATION OR EXTENSION OF ANY SYSTEM,
 OR THE INSTALLATION OF ANY ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT. PLEASE
 UPDATE THE PLANS.
  
 2) SHEET A.1:
 2A) THE DEMOLITION FLOOR PLAN AS WELL AS THE NEW WORK
 FLOOR PLAN SHOWS A NON-CONFORMITY. IN THE EXISTING DEMO
 PLAN D1 IS STATED AS BEING AN EXISTING SCRUB SINK. IN
 THE 2020 FBC-BUILDING CODE SECTION 2902.3 EMPLOYEES AND
 PUBLIC TOILET FACILITIES. THE NUMBER OF PLUMBING
 FIXTURES LOCATED WITHIN THE (REQUIRED TOLIET
 FACILITIES) SHALL BE PROVIDED IN ACCORDANCE WITH
 SECTION 2902.1 2020 FBC-BUILDING CODE FOR ALL USERS.
 EMPLOYEES SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH TOILET FACILITIES IN
 ALL OCCUPANCIES. TOILET FACILITY IS DEFINED AS A ROOM
 OR SPACE THAT CONTAINS NOT LESS THAN ONE WATER CLOSET
 AND ONE LAVATORY. THE EXISTING RESTROOM AND PROPOSED
 BATHROOM WILL STILL NEED A LAVATORY WITHIN THE BATHROOM
 TO MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF 2903 FOR TOILET FACILITIES.
 2020 EXISTING BUILDING CODE LEVEL II 801.3 COMPLIANCE.
 ALL NEW CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND
 SPACES SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE
 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, BUILDING. CREATION OR EXTENSION
 OF NONCONFORMITY. ALL NEW WORK, RE-CONFIGURATION SHALL
 NOT CREATE OR EXTEND ANY NONCONFORMITY IN THE EXISTING
 BUILDING TO WHICH THE RE-CONFIGURATION OF SPACE IS
 BEING MADE WITH REGARD TO ACCESSIBILITY, STRUCTURAL
 STRENGTH, FIRE SAFETY, MEANS OF EGRESS, OR THE CAPACITY
 OF MECHANICAL, PLUMBING, OR ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS.
  
 2B) THE PLANS DO NOT STATE WHAT TYPE OF FINISHES ARE ON
 THE WALLS. 2020 FBC-B 1210.2.2. WALLS & PARTITIONS.
 THIS COMMENT IS A RESULT OF THE BUILDING OFFICIAL
 INTERPRETATION ON 06/2020. IN BATHROOMS, RESTROOMS &
 SERVICE SINK AREAS EPOXY PAINT IS NO LONGER CONSIDERED
 A SMOOTH HARD, NON-ABSORBENT SURFACE.
  
 2B)(1) 1210.2.2 WALLS & PARTITIONS WITHIN 2 FEET OF
 SERVICE SINKS, URINALS, AND WATER CLOSETS SHALL HAVE A
 SMOOTH, HARD, NON-ABSORBENT SURFACE TO A HEIGHT OF NOT
 LESS THAN 4 FEET ABOVE THE FLOOR, EXCEPT FOR STRUCTURAL
 ELEMENTS, THE MATERIAL USED IN SUCH WALLS SHALL BE OF A
 TYPE THAT IS NOT ADVERSELY AFFECTED BY MOISTURE.
  
 2B)(2) 2509.1. WET AREAS. SHOWERS AND PUBLIC TOILET
 WALLS SHALL COMPLY WITH 1210.2.
  
 2B)(3) 1210.2. FINISH MATERIALS. WALLS, BASE, FLOORS
 AND PARTITIONS IN TOILET ROOMS AND BATHROOMS SHALL
 COMPLY WITH SECTIONS 1210.1 THROUGH 1210.4.
  
 2C) THE SUBMITTED FLOOR PLAN DOES NOT PROVIDE THE
 SQUARE FOOTAGE THE PROPOSED RESTROOM SERVES NOR THE
 OCCUPANT LOAD. 2020 FBC-BUILDING CODE SECTION 2902.2
 SEPARATE FACILITIES AND EXCEPTIONS AND THE 2020 FLORIDA
 ACCESSIBILITY CODE SCOPING SECTION 213.2 AND 213.3.6
 BATHING FACILITIES. WHERE SHOWERS ARE PROVIDED, AT
 LEAST ONE SHOWER SHALL COMPLY WITH 608 (ACCESS. CODE)
 SHALL BE PROVIDED. PLEASE REVIEW ALL OF SECTION 608 AND
 ALL REQUIREMENTS FOR A TRANSFER TYPE SHOWER COMPARTMENT
 FOR SIZE AND REQUIRED CLEARANCES. REVIEW FIGURE 608.2.1
 FOR THE LOCATION OF THE CLEAR FLOOR SPACE.
  
 2D) PLEASE PROVIDE THE WALL FINISH MATERIAL BEHIND THE
 MOVED SCRUB SINK. PLEASE NOTE IN THE 2020 FBC-BUILDING
 CODE TABLE 2902.1 FOR A STORAGE OCCUPANCY REQUIRE ONE
 SERVICE SINK. ALSO RELATED, WALLS & PARTITIONS WITHIN 2
 FEET OF SERVICE SINKS, URINALS, AND WATER CLOSETS SHALL
 HAVE A SMOOTH, HARD, NON-ABSORBENT SURFACE TO A HEIGHT
 OF NOT LESS THAN 4 FEET ABOVE THE FLOOR, EXCEPT FOR
 STRUCTURAL ELEMENTS, THE MATERIAL USED IN SUCH WALLS
 SHALL BE OF A TYPE THAT IS NOT ADVERSELY AFFECTED BY

 2E) THE DOOR SIZE IS NOT GIVEN GOING INTO THE NEW
 BATHROOM. 2020 ACCESS. CODE 404.2.3. CLEAR WIDTH & SIZE
 OF DOORS, 2020 FBC-B 1010.1.1. WHERE THIS SECTION
 REQUIRES A MINIMUM CLEAR WIDTH OF 32 INCHES. THE
 MINIMUM SIZE OF A SWING DOORS IS MEASURED CLEAR OPENING
 OF THE DOORWAY WITH THE SWINGING DOORS SHALL BE
 MEASURED BETWEEN THE FACE OF THE DOOR AND THE STOP,
 WITH THE DOOR OPEN 90 DEGREES.
 THE PERMIT VALUE IS STATED AT $8,500.00 DOLLARS WHICH
 MAY INCREASE TO MEET THE NEW WORK REQUIREMENTS LISTED
 ABOVE. $8,500.00 X 0.20% = $1,700.00 DOLLARS FOR DOOR
 REPLACEMENT IF TO SMALL.
  
 2020 FBC-EXISTING BUILDING CODE SECTION 806.1 REFERS
 BACK TO THE 2020 FBC-ACCESSIBILITY CODE.
 2020 FBC-ACCESSIBILITY CODE 202.4.1. DISPROPORTIONATE
 COST. ALTERATIONS MADE TO PROVIDE AN ACCESSIBLE PATH OF
 TRAVEL TO THE ALTERED AREA WILL BE DEEMED
 DISPROPORTIONATE TO THE OVERALL ALTERATION WHEN THE
 COST EXCEEDS 20% OF THE COST OF THE ALTERATION TO THE
 PRIMARY FUNCTION AREA. COST THAT MAY BE COUNTED AS
 EXPENDITURES REQUIRED TO PROVIDE AN ACCESSIBLE PATH OF
 TRAVEL MAY INCLUDE: (I) COST ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING
 AN ACCESSIBLE ENTRANCE AND AN ACCESSIBLE ROUT TO THE
 ALTERED AREA; (II) COST ASSOCIATED WITH MAKING
 RESTROOMS ACCESSIBLE, SUCH AS INSTALLING GRAB BARS,
