 CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND SPACES
 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 1A) UNDER THE HEADING APPLICABLE CODES LIST THE SOUTH
 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE 2020 EDITION. PLEASE NOTE THERE
 IS ONLY ONE CODE FOR THE STATE, 2020 FLORIDA BUILDING
 CODE 7TH EDITION, THERE ARE THERE ARE SECTIONS IN THE
 CODE THAT DEAL ONLY WITH BROWARD AND METRO-DADE
 COUNTIES, THE HIGH-VELOCITY HURRICANE ZONES, THE CITY
 OF WEST PALM BEACH IS LOCATED IN PALM BEACH COUNTY.
 PLEASE UPDATE CODE LANGUAGE. PLEASE REMOVE ALL
 REFERENCES MADE TO THE SFBC ON THIS PAGE.
  
 1B) OCCUPANCY CLASSIFICATION IS BUSINESS. THE PERMIT IS
 FOR THE REMODELING OF A RESTROOM INTO A ADA COMPLIANT
 BATHROOM. THERE ARE NUMEROUS REFERENCES TO ASSEMBLY
 OCCUPANCY PLEASE EXPLAIN WHY WE SEE THESE REFERENCES,
 IF THERE IS A PART OF THIS OCCUPANCY PLEASE SHOW THIS
 AREA SINCE IT MAYBE A PARTIAL CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY.
 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION IS REQUIRED.

 FBC-ACCESSIBILITY CODE. MIRRORS LOCATED ABOVE
 LAVATORIES OR COUNTERTOPS SHALL BE INSTALLED WITH THE
 BOTTOM EDGE OF THE REFLECTING SURFACE 40 INCHES MAXIMUM
 ABOVE THE FINISH FLOOR OR GROUND.
  
 3B) 606.5 EXPOSED PIPES AND SURFACES. WATER SUPPLY &
 DRAINPIPES UNDER LAVATORIES AND SINKS SHALL BE

 CLOSET MEASURED TO THE CENTERLINE OF THE DISPENSER.
 3D)(1) WATER CLOSET GRAB BARS THE CODE REFERENCES
 11.4.26 ARE OLD REFERENCES. DO NOT QUOTE CODE
 REFERENCES SHOW CODE COMPLIANCE WITH: 2020
 FBC-ACCESSIBILITY CODE SECTION 604.5.1 THE SIDE WALL
 GRAB BAR SHALL BE 42 INCHES (1065 MM) LONG MINIMUM,
 LOCATED 12 INCHES (305 MM) MAXIMUM FROM THE REAR WALL
 AND EXTENDING 54 INCHES (1370 MM) MINIMUM FROM THE REAR
 WALL.

 4) 2020 FBC-B 1210.2.2. WALLS & PARTITIONS. THIS
 COMMENT IS A RESULT OF THE BUILDING OFFICIAL
 INTERPRETATION ON 06/2020. IN BATHROOMS, RESTROOMS &
 SERVICE SINK AREAS EPOXY PAINT IS NO LONGER CONSIDERED
 A SMOOTH HARD, NON-ABSORBENT SURFACE.
  
 4A) 1210.2.2 WALLS & PARTITIONS WITHIN 2 FEET OF
 SERVICE SINKS, URINALS, AND WATER CLOSETS SHALL HAVE A
 SMOOTH, HARD, NON-ABSORBENT SURFACE TO A HEIGHT OF NOT
 LESS THAN 4 FEET ABOVE THE FLOOR, EXCEPT FOR STRUCTURAL
 ELEMENTS, THE MATERIAL USED IN SUCH WALLS SHALL BE OF A
 TYPE THAT IS NOT ADVERSELY AFFECTED BY MOISTURE.
  
 4B) 2509.1. WET AREAS. SHOWERS AND PUBLIC TOILET WALLS
 SHALL COMPLY WITH 1210.2.
  
 4C) 1210.2. FINISH MATERIALS. WALLS, BASE, FLOORS AND
 PARTITIONS IN TOILET AND BATHROOMS SHALL COMPLY WITH

 4D) 2020 FBC-B 2509.2 BASE FOR TILE. MATERIALS USED AS
 A BASE FOR WALL TILE IN TUB AND SHOWER AREAS AND WALLS
 AND CEILING PANELS IN SHOWER AREAS SHALL BE OF
 MATERIALS LISTED IN TABLE 2509.2 AND INSTALLED IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH MANUFACTURER?S RECOMMENDATIONS. WATER
 RESISTANT GYPSUM BACKING BOARD SHALL BE USED AS A BASE
 FOR TILE IN WATER CLOSET COMPARTMENT WALLS WHEN
 INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH GA-216 OR ASTM C840 AND
 THE MANUFACTURE?S RECOMMENDATIONS.
  
 4E) 2020 FBC-B SHOWERS & TUBS 1210.3. SHOWER
 COMPARTMENTS AND BATHTUBS WITH INSTALLED SHOWER HEADS
 SHALL BE FINISHED WITH A NONABSORBENT SURFACE TO A
 HEIGHT NOT LESS THAN 72 INCHES ABOVE THE DRAIN INLET.

 COMMENT NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE REVISION
 MADE, IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION PAGE WHERE
 THE CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL HELP TO EXPEDITE YOUR
