 ADMINISTRATION
  
 2020 EXISTING BUILDING CODE. 801.3 COMPLIANCE. ALL NEW
 CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND SPACES
 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.
  
 2ND REVIEW

 ACTION: DENIED
  
 1) 2ND REQUEST. THE FLOOR PLAN MISSING THE QUALIFIER
 SIGNATURE, NOTE IT CAN BE AN ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE. THE
 SCHEDULE/ WIND LOAD CHART DOES NOT HAVE THE QUALIFIERS
 PRINTED NAME, SIGNATURE NOR LICENSE NUMBER.
 1ST ROUND COMMENTS. THE WRIGHT?S FLOOR PLAN & OPENING
 SCHEDULE NEEDS TO SHOW WHO THE AUTHOR IS OF THE PLAN.
 CERTIFICATION BY CONTRACTOR. 107.3.4.3. THE CONTRACTOR
 (QUALIFIER) THAT CREATED / DREW THE SET OF PLANS WILL
 NEED TO IDENTIFY THEMSELVES AS THE AUTHOR OF THE PLANS.
 PLEASE PRINT YOUR NAME, SIGN YOUR NAME AND LICENSE
 NUMBER FOR THE TRADE YOU ARE LICENSED IN AND PLANS
 DRAWN.
  
 2) 2ND REQUEST. PLEASE PROVIDE A OVERALL FLOORPLAN OF
 THE BUILDING AND IDENTIFY THE UNIT WITHIN THE FLOOR
 PLAN. ASKED IN THE FIRST ROUND OF COMMENTS, THIS IS NOT
 A SQUARE OR RECTANGULAR BUILDING. IT IS A CURVED
 CRESCENT SHAPED BUILDING; WE LOOK AT THE WIND COMING
 FROM EVERY DIRECTION. WITH THE CURVED CRESCENT SHAPE
 AND THE BEDROOMS SET OUT AND THE LIVING ROOM AREAS SET
 BACK IT APPEARS THAT ALL OF THE OPENINGS ARE IN ZONE 5.
 PLEASE PROVIDE A DIMENSIONED PLAN OF THE FACE OF THE
 TENANT SPACE, LOCATION OF THE OPENINGS DIMENSIONED, THE
 DIMENSION TO THE CORNER OF THE INSET SECTION, WIDTH OF
 WALL FOR OPENING 2 & 5 SINCE THE ZONE 5 IS FEET WIDE
 OPENINGS 2 & 5 ARE DEFINITELY IN ZONE 5. IT APPEARS
 WINDOWS 1 & 6 MAY ALSO BE SET BACK WHEN VIEWING THE
 ELEVATIONS OF THE BUILDING USING GOOGLE MAPS.
 ENGINEERING EXPRESS SHEET SHOWS FOR COMPLEX BUILDINGS
 USE CORNER ZONES IF AT ALL IN QUESTION. THIS WILL
 GREATLY AFFECT THE PRESSURES ON THESE OPENINGS AND
 SUBMITTED SCHEDULE.
  
 1ST ROUND COMMENTS. DRAWING 1 WRIGHT?S FLOOR PLAN DOES
 NOT SHOW THE FLOOR PLAN IN THE OVERALL CURVATURE OF THE
 BUILDING, NOR THE UNITS THAT ARE PROJECTED FURTHER OUT
 THAN OTHER PORTIONS OF THE WALL LINE CREATING A
 FLUTTERING OR GALLOPING AFFECT. ENGINEERING EXPRESS
 SHEET SHOWS FOR COMPLEX BUILDINGS USE CORNER ZONES IF
 AT ALL IN QUESTION. THIS WILL GREATLY AFFECT THE
 PRESSURES ON THESE OPENINGS AND SUBMITTED SCHEDULE.
 BUILDING END ZONES (5). THE FLOOR PLAN LAYOUT INDICATES
 THE WORK TO BE PERFORMED UNDER THIS PERMIT IS A CORNER
 UNIT OF A HIGHRISE BUILDING. THE WIND LOAD CHART UNDER
 NOTES STATES WHAT IS CONSIDERED AN END ZONE 10% OF THE
 LEAST HORIZONTAL DISTANCE OF THE BUILDING OR 40% OF THE
 MRH, BUT NOT LESS THAN 4% OF THE LEAST HORIZONTAL
 DISTANCE OR 3 FT. THE CONTRACTOR HAS NOT IDENTIFIED
 WHAT THE LEAST HORIZONTAL DISTANCE IS FOR THE BUILDING
 NOR THE LOCATION OF THE UNIT IN RELATIONSHIP TO THE
 BUILDING AND THE INTERCOASTAL WATERWAY. EXAMPLE ONLY.
 IF THE BUILDING HEIGHT IS APPROXIMATELY 180 FT. (MRH.)
 X 0.40= 72 FEET. THIS WOULD PUT ALL OPENINGS IN WIND
 ZONE 5 OR 10% OF THE LEAST HORIZONTAL DISTANCE OF THE
 BUILDING, ALSO UNKNOWN.
  
 3) THE REVIEW OF THE SUBMITTED PRODUCT CAN?T BE
 DETERMINED BUT ALREADY THERE ARE ISSUES WITH THE SILLS,
 THEY ARE NOT MARKED WHICH SILL HEIGHT IS GOING TO BE
 INSTALLED. THE 2 ? INCH SILL DOES NOT MEET THE REQUIRED
 POSITIVE PRESSURES OF ZONE 4. WITH THE HIGHER POSITIVE
 PRESSURES OF ZONE 5 THE 3 1/8-INCH SILL MAY NOT WORK.
 ZONE 5 THE NEGATIVE PRESSURES WILL ALSO INCREASE.
  
 4) A TRANSMITTAL LETTER LISTING THE ORIGINAL REVIEW
 COMMENT NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE REVISION
 MADE, IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION PAGE WHERE
 THE CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL HELP TO EXPEDITE YOUR
 PERMIT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ANTICIPATED COOPERATION.
