 CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND SPACES
 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 1A) 2ND REQUEST. CITY ELECTRIC SUPPLY HAS AN ELECTRICAL
 WHOLESALE NETWORK ACROSS THE USA AND CANADA. WHEN YOU
 LOOK AT THE DEFINITION OF MERCANTILE (2020
 FBC-BUILDING) SECTION 309.1 RETAIL OR WHOLESALE
 FACILITIES ARE INCLUDED UNDER THE OCCUPANCY OF
 MERCANTILE.
  
 1ST ROUND COMMENTS. LIST THE OCCUPANCY AS BUSINESS
 OCCUPANCY. PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY,
 FORMERLY STORAGE OCCUPANCY. THE PROJECT DATA LIST THE
 OCCUPANCY TYPE AS BUSINESS OCCUPANCY. BUSINESS
 OCCUPANCIES ARE USUALLY OFFICES FOR PROFESSIONALS OR
 SERVICE TYPES TRANSACTIONS, IT CAN BE ARGUED THE
 OCCUPANCY TYPE IS MERCANTILE SINCE THERE IS A LARGE
 AREA VACANT BUT INDICATES COUNTER AREA. NEITHER THE A-1
 SHEET NOR THE LIFE SAFETY SHEET REALLY DEFINE THE OPEN

 OCCUPANT LOAD. MERCANTILE OCCUPANCY THE OCCUPANT LOAD
 WILL INCREASE FROM 10 (BUSINESS) TO 25 MERCANTILE 1498
 SQ. FT./ 60= 25 OCCUPANTS.
 1ST ROUND OF COMMENTS. THE OCCUPANT LOAD DOES NOT
 INDICATE THE SQUARE FOOTAGE OF THE AREA UNDERGOING THE
 CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY?107. 2.1.2. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
 IS REQUIRED.

 BEING LESS THAN 15 A UNI-SEX RESTROOM COULD BE CODE
 COMPLIANT, BUT WITH THE NEW OCCUPANT LOAD FOR
 MERCANTILE OF 25 OCCUPANTS SEPARATE RESTROOM FACILITIES
 WILL BE REQUIRED. PLEASE REVIEW SECTION 2902.2 OF THE

 FBC-BUILDING CODE TABLE 1004.5, THE OCCUPANT LOAD
 FACTOR FOR A BUSINESS OCCUPANCY IS CURRENTLY 150 SQ.
 FT./ OCCUPANT. NOTE FOR MERCANTILE OCCUPANCY THE
 OCCUPANT LOAD FACTOR IS 60 SQ. FT./ OCCUPANT TABLE
 1004.5 OF THE 2020 FBC-BUILDING CODE.
  
 1D)(1) 2ND REQUEST. WITH THE INCREASED OCCUPANT LOAD
 FOR A MERCANTILE OCCUPANCY OF 25 OCCUPANTS THE
 REQUIREMENT FOR DRINKING FOUNTAINS PER TABLE 2902.1
 REQUIRING DRINKING FOUNTAINS UNLESS COMPLIANCE CAN BE
 MET BY SECTION 2902.5.
 1ST ROUND OF COMMENTS. THE PLUMBING FIXTURE COUNT IS
 GOING TO VARY DEPENDING ON THE OCCUPANCY
 CLASSIFICATION. FOR THIS REVIEW A MERCANTILE OCCUPANCY
 WILL BE FIGURED SIMILAR TO AUTO ZONE WHERE THERE ARE
 MERCANTILE SHELVING RACKS IN THE FRONT PORTION, SALES
 /TRANSACTION COUNTERS AND WAREHOUSE SECTION BEHIND THE
 COUNTERS. THE PROPOSED TENANT IS CITY ELECTRIC SUPPLY.
  
 1D)(2) NEW COMMENT. 2020 FBC-ACCESSIBILITY CODE. 211.3
 MORE THAN MINIMUM NUMBER. WHERE MORE THAN THE MINIMUM
 NUMBER OF DRINKING FOUNTAINS SPECIFIED IN 211.2 ARE
 PROVIDED, 50 PERCENT OF THE TOTAL NUMBER OF DRINKING
 FOUNTAINS PROVIDED SHALL COMPLY WITH 602.1 THROUGH
 602.6 AND 50 PERCENT SHALL OF THE TOTAL NUMBER OF
 DRINKING FOUNTAINS PROVIDED SHALL COMPLY WITH 602.7.
