 ADMINISTRATION
  
 2020 EXISTING BUILDING CODE. 801.3 COMPLIANCE. ALL NEW
 CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND SPACES
 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.
  
 1ST REVIEW
 DATE: WED. SEPT. 08TH/ 2021
 ACTION: DENIED
 1) THE SHEET A1.2 LIFE SAFETY PLAN ROOM 222 IS LABELED
 KITCHEN. PLEASE REVIEW THE 2020 FBC-BUILDING CODE
 SECTION 1016.2.5 EGRESS SHALL NOT PASS THROUGH
 KITCHENS, STORAGE ROOMS, CLOSETS OR SPACES USED FOR
 SIMILAR PURPOSES. COMMERCIAL KITCHENS ALSO HAVE TO HAVE
 HOODS. NOTE A BREAK ROOM DOES NOT HAVE A STOVE NOR
 HOOD.
  
 2) NO ACTION NEEDS TAKEN SINCE THE PLANS SHOW A
 MICROWAVE ON THE COUNTER WITHIN THE REACH RANGES, WILL
 NEED THE COUNTER MICROWAVE AT FINAL INSPECTION.
  
 3) THE LIFE SAFETY PLAN A1.2 SHOWS A RECEPTION DESK BUT
 THERE ARE NO CUT SECTIONS OF THE DESK SHOWING
 COMPLIANCE WITH THE 2020 FBC-ACCESSIBILITY CODE
 SECTIONS:
 902.1. WORK SURFACES SHALL COMPLY WITH 902.2 AND 902.3.
 ADVISORY 902.1 GENERAL. EXAMPLES OF WORK SURFACES
 INCLUDE WRITING SURFACES, STUDY CARRELS, STUDENT
 LABORATORY STATIONS, BABY CHANGING AND OTHER TABLES OR
 FIXTURES FOR PERSONAL GROOMING, COUPON COUNTERS, AND
 WHERE COVERED BY THE ADA SCOPING PROVISIONS, EMPLOYEE
 WORKSTATIONS.
  
 3)(1) 902.2 CLEAR FLOOR OR GROUND SPACE. A CLEAR FLOOR
 SPACE COMPLYING WITH 305 POSITIONED FOR A FORWARD
 APPROACH SHALL BE PROVIDED. KNEE AND TOE CLEARANCE
 COMPLYING WITH 306 SHALL BE PROVIDED.
  
 3)(2) 902.3 HEIGHT. THE TOPS OF DINING SURFACES AND
 WORK SURFACES SHALL BE 28 INCHES MINIMUM AND 34 INCHES
 MAXIMUM ABOVE THE FINISH FLOOR OR GROUND.
  
 3)(3) 904.4 SERVICE COUNTERS. SERVICE COUNTERS SHALL
 COMPLY WITH 904.4.1 (PARALLEL APPROACH) OR 904.4.2
 (FORWARD APPROACH). THE ACCESSIBLE PORTION OF THE
 COUNTERTOP SHALL EXTEND THE SAME DEPTH AS THE SALES OR
 SERVICE COUNTERTOP.
  
 4) A TRANSMITTAL LETTER LISTING THE ORIGINAL REVIEW
 COMMENT NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE REVISION
 MADE, IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION PAGE WHERE
 THE CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL HELP TO EXPEDITE YOUR
