 2020 EXISTING BUILDING CODE. 801.3 COMPLIANCE. ALL NEW
 CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND SPACES
 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 1) SHEET C2.1 ELEVATIONS PLEASE NOTE THE NOTATION
 MARKERS FOR THE ELEVATIONS IDENTIFYING THE WALL TYPE
 FINISHES ARE TOTALLY BLACK NOT LEGIBLE. 107.2.1.2
 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION IS REQUIRED.
  
 2) THE FRONT AND REAR ELEVATIONS ARE SHOWN WITH THE
 FINISH ROOF ELEVATION OVER 20 FEET IN HEIGHT. THE ROOF
 PLAN IS ALSO ON THE SAME SHEET BUT THERE IS NO ACCESS
 TO THE ROOF TOP RTU UNITS. NO SHIPS LADDER OR ROOF
 HATCH IS SHOWN.
 2020 FBC-M 306.5 EQUIPMENT AND APPLIANCES ON ROOFS OR
 ELEVATED STRUCTURES. WHERE EQUIPMENT REQUIRING ACCESS
 OR APPLIANCES ARE LOCATED ON AN ELEVATED STRUCTURE OR
 THE ROOF OF A BUILDING SUCH THAT PERSONNEL WILL HAVE TO
 CLIMB HIGHER THAN 16 FEET (4877 MM) ABOVE GRADE TO
 ACCESS SUCH EQUIPMENT OR APPLIANCES, AN INTERIOR OR
 EXTERIOR MEANS OF ACCESS SHALL BE PROVIDED. SUCH ACCESS
 SHALL NOT REQUIRE CLIMBING OVER OBSTRUCTIONS GREATER
 THAN 30 INCHES (762 MM) IN HEIGHT OR WALKING ON ROOFS
 HAVING A SLOPE GREATER THAN 4 UNITS VERTICAL IN 12
 UNITS HORIZONTAL (33-PERCENT SLOPE). SUCH ACCESS SHALL
 NOT REQUIRE THE USE OF PORTABLE LADDERS. WHERE ACCESS
 INVOLVES CLIMBING OVER PARAPET WALLS, THE HEIGHT SHALL
 BE MEASURED TO THE TOP OF THE PARAPET WALL.
  
 3) BUILDING PROVISO/ DEFERRED SUBMITTALS. SHEET C1
 INDICATES THE PRODUCT APPROVALS FOR COMPONENTS AND
 CLADDING ARE TO BE DEFERRED SUBMITTALS. DOCUMENTS FOR
 DEFERRED SUBMITTAL ITEMS SHALL BE SUBMITTED TO THE
 REGISTERED DESIGN PROFESSIONAL IN RESPONSIBLE CHARGE
 WHO SHALL REVIEW THEM AND FORWARD THEM TO THE BUILDING
 OFFICIAL WITH A NOTATION INDICATING THAT THE DEFERRED
 SUBMITTAL DOCUMENTS HAVE BEEN REVIEWED AND FOUND TO BE
 IN GENERAL CONFORMANCE TO THE DESIGN OF THE BUILDING.
 THE DEFERRED SUBMITTAL ITEMS SHALL NOT BE INSTALLED
 UNTIL THE DEFERRED SUBMITTAL DOCUMENTS HAVE BEEN
 APPROVED BY THE BUILDING OFFICIAL.
  
 4) NOTE ONLY NO ACTION NEEDED. SHEET S200 COMPONENTS &
 CLADDING PRESSURES SERVICE LOADS (VASD) ARE GOOD.
  
 5A) SHEET S100 SHOWS A NEW VESTIBULE AT THE FRONT
 ENTRY, BUT THE STRUCTURAL PLANS DO NOT GIVE THE
 DIMENSIONS OF THE VESTIBULE IN WIDTH, LENGTH NOR THE
 BOTTOM OF THE STEEL FRAMING. SHEET C2 DID NOT HAVE
 DIMENSIONS FOR THIS AREA. THE STRUCTURAL PLAN DOES NOT
 INDICATE THE SIZE OR TYPE OF WELDS FOR THE STRUCTURAL
 MEMBERS. THE PLAN IS DEFICIENT AS IF THERE WILL BE
 REQUIRED NEW FOUNDATION WORK IN THIS AREA AND HOW THE
 STEEL COLUMNS ARE TO BE ANCHORED TO THE FOUNDATION. THE
 STEEL FRAMEWORK NO SHOP DRAWINGS WERE SUBMITTED, NOR
 REVIEWED BY THE DESIGNER OF RECORD. 107.2.1.2
 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION IS REQUIRED.
  
 5B) WELDED OR BOLTED CONNECTIONS. THIS BUILDING
 CONTAINS EITHER BOLTED AND OR WELDED CONNECTIONS. THE
 CONTRACTOR IS REQUIRED TO PROVIDE WELD PROCEDURE
 SPECIFICATIONS & WELDER OPERATOR PERFORMANCE
 QUALIFICATION RECORDS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE REFERENCED
 STANDARDS AT TIME OF INSPECTION FOR FIELD WIELDING, ON
 THE JOB-SITE WIELDING. THIRD PARTY CERTIFICATION WILL
 BE REQUIRED. THE OWNER MAY JUST HIRE A 3RD PARTY
 ENGINEERING FIRM TO COMPLETE AND APPROVE THE FORMER
 INSPECTIONS. REPORTS SUBMITTED TO BUILDING INSPECTOR AT
 TIME OF FRAMING INSPECTION.

 REPLACED. SHEET M001 HAS A GENERIC DETAIL FOR A ROOF
 TOP FAN MOUNTING TO THE ROOF DECK DOES NOT INDICATE HOW
 STEEL ANGLES ARE TO BE ATTACHED TO THE BAR JOIST
 SYSTEM, REFERS TO S-001 FOR TIE DOWN, S001 GIVE THE
 WIND DESIGN ONLY.
  
 6B) M001 HAS A GENERIC DETAIL FOR A ROOF TOP RTU?S
 (DETAIL 7 &8) THERE IS NO INFORMATION FOR ROOF TOP
 CURBS OR THE TIE DOWN OF THE RTU UNIT. 2020 FBC-M-
 301.15 WIND RESISTANCE.
 MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT, APPLIANCES AND SUPPORTS THAT ARE
 EXPOSED TO WIND SHALL BE DESIGNED AND INSTALLED TO
 RESIST THE WIND PRESSURES DETERMINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH
 THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.
 FBC-B-1609.6.4.4.1 COMPONENTS AND CLADDING. WIND
 PRESSURE FOR EACH COMPONENT OR CLADDING ELEMENT IS TO
 BE DESIGNED FOR WIND PRESSURES COMPONENTS AND
 ATTACHMENTS.
 LATERAL FORCE-RESISTING SYSTEM. FOR ALL ROOF TOP
 EQUIPMENT, CURBS, FANS OR A/C STANDS, AND OR VENTS,
 DETAILED ATTACHMENT TO THE ROOF FRAMING & DECK AS WELL
 AS FROM THE CURB OR ROOF STAND TO THE EQUIPMENT ABOVE.
 2020 FBC-B 1604.4 ANALYSIS. LOAD EFFECTS ON STRUCTURAL
 MEMBERS AND THEIR CONNECTIONS SHALL BE DETERMINED BY
 METHODS OF STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS THAT TAKE INTO ACCOUNT
 EQUILIBRIUM, GENERAL STABILITY, GEOMETRIC COMPATIBILITY
 AND BOTH SHORT- AND LONG-TERM MATERIAL PROPERTIES.
 EVERY STRUCTURE SHALL BE DESIGNED TO RESIST THE
 OVERTURNING EFFECTS CAUSED BY THE LATERAL FORCES
 SPECIFIED IN THIS CHAPTER. SEE SECTION 1609 FOR WIND
 LOADS.
