 1- PERMIT APPLICATION STATES: "REMODEL TWO STORY
 BUILDING AS PER PLANS". PLANS SUBMITTED ARE FOR
 COMPLETE CONSTRUCTION OF A TWO STORY DUPLEX. NEED TO
 REVISE THE SCOPE OF WORK ON THE PERMIT APPLICATION TO
 SAY CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW TWO STORY DUPLEX.
 THE PERMIT TYPE WILL BE CHANGED FROM RESIDENTIAL
 REMODEL TO NEW RESIDENTIAL BUILDING PERMIT. SEC.
 107.2.1 CITY AMENDMENTS.
  
 RESPONSE:
 BASED ON REVISED PLANS SUBMITTED, THE SCOPE OF WORK IS
 TO REBUILT THE TWO STORY DUPLEX. PERMIT TYPE WAS
 CHANGED TO BUILDING-RESIDENTIAL PERMIT. SEC. 107.2.1
 CITY AMENDMENTS.

 2- BASED ON ITEM #1 ABOVE. VALUATION DECLARED IN THE
 PERMIT APPLICATION IS TOO LOW. VALUATION TO INCLUDE ALL
 LABOR, MATERIALS, CONTRACTOR'S OVERHEAD AND PROFIT AND
 DESIGN PROFESSIONAL FEES AS REQUIRED BY SEC. 109.3 CITY
 AMENDMENTS.
 VALUATION WAS UPDATED TO $182843.00. OWES $2250.65.

 REQUIRED. NEED TO SPECIFY AN APPROVED FLOOR /CEILING
 ASSEMBLY.
 ALSO, INFORMATION SHOWN ON THE 1 HOUR FIRE RATED
 FLOOR/CEILING ASSEMBLY DETAIL DOESN'T MATCH INFORMATION

 ENGINEER'S RESPONSE LETTER STATES "THIS IS A REMODEL
 PROJECT". THIS IS INCORRECT. BASED ON PLANS SUBMITTED
 SOIL IS ALTERED FOR PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION. PROVIDE
 REQUIRED DRAINAGE PLAN.
 NOTE: NORTH SIDE OF RECONSTRUCTED BUILDING IS TOO CLOSE
 TO THE THE ADJACENT PROPERTY. TAKE THIS INTO
 CONSIDERATION WHEN DOING THE DRAINAGE PLAN. WATER CAN
 NOT BE DIVERTED TO ADJACENT PROPERTIES.
  
 8- ACCORDING TO SURVEY SUBMITTED THE NORTH WALL OF
 BUILDING IS LOCATED LESS THAN 3 FEET FROM THE PROPERTY
 LINE. THE FOLLOWING FIRE RESISTANT CONSTRUCTION IS

 ASSEMBLY ON THE UNDERSIDE OF THE ROOF PROJECTION. TABLE

 NOTE: TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION OPENINGS FOR ATTIC
 VENTILATION.
  
 RESPONSE:
 THERE IS NO DETAIL FOR 1 HOUR FIRE RATED ASSEMBLY ON
 THE UNDERSIDE OF THE ROOF PROJECTION.
 ALSO, THERE IS NO INFORMATION ABOUT THE ATTIC VENTS ON
 THE NORTH SIDE OF THE BUILDING.
 TYPICAL WALL SECTION ON SHEET 2-4 SPECIFIES VENTS @
 8'-0" O.C. VENTS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF
 THE BUILDING. ENGINEER OF RECORD TO SHOW ON THE ROOF
 PLAN HOW PROVIDING THE CROSS VENTILATION AT THE 1/150
 RATIO AS REQUIRED BY SEC. R806.1 AND SEC. R806.2
