 ADMINISTRATION
  
 2020 EXISTING BUILDING CODE. 801.3 COMPLIANCE. ALL NEW
 CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND SPACES
 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 ACTION: DENIED
  
 1A) IT IS NOTED THIS PERMIT IS FOR INTERIOR
 RENOVATIONS, A VANILLA SHELL. THERE ARE QUESTIONS ABOUT
 THE ENTRANCE, ENTRY VESTIBULE BEING IN THE REAR OF THE
 BUILDING. LOOKING AT THE PROPERTY WITH GOOGLE MAPS IT
 APPEARS THERE ARE GATES IMPEDING ENTRY TO THE REAR
 ENTRANCE. 107.2.1.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION IS REQUIRED.
  
 1B) THE LIFE SAFETY PLAN DOES NOT INDICATE IF THE MAIN
 ENTRANCE, THE REAR ENTRANCE IS A ACCESSIBLE ENTRANCE.
 2020 FBC-ACCESS. CODE CHANGES IN LEVEL 303.2 AND 303.3.
 WHERE CHANGES IN LEVEL ARE PERMITTED IN THE FLOOR OR
 GROUND SURFACES, THEY SHALL COMPLY WITH SECTION 303.
 SEE 303.1 & 303.2.
  
 2) THE LIFE SAFETY PLAN HAS A ROOM NAMED A KITCHENETTE.
 IN COMMERCIAL USE YOU CAN NOT HAVE EGRESS THROUGH A
 KITCHEN , STORAGE ROOM OR SPACE USED FOR SIMILAR
 PURPOSES.
  
 3) THE LIFE SAFETY PLAN FOR A BUSINESS OCCUPANCY THE
 OCCUPANT LOAD TABLE THE DESIGNER IS TAKING 100 GROSS
 AND 50 GROSS FOR THE OCCUPANT LOAD FACTOR. PLEASE NOTE
 IN THE 2020 FBC-BUILDING CODE THERE WAS A CHANGE FOR
 THE BUSINESS OCCUPANCY THE OCCUPANT LOAD FACTOR IS NOW
 150 GROSS. PLEASE UPDATE THE PLANS.
  
 4) THE LIFE SAFETY PLAN SHOWS A COUNTER AND SINK WITH
 UPPER CABINETS AND OR SHELVING, PLEASE PROVIDE A
 ELEVATION VIEW OF THIS AREA. SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH THE
 2020 FBC-ACCESSIBILITY CODE SECTIONS:
  
 4A) 2020 FBC-ACCESSIBILITY CODE SECTION 606.3 HEIGHT.
 LAVATORIES AND SINKS SHALL BE INSTALLED WITH THE FRONT
 OF THE HIGHER OF THE RIM OR COUNTER SURFACE 34 INCHES
 (865 MM) MAXIMUM ABOVE THE FINISH FLOOR OR GROUND.
  
 4B) 606.2 CLEAR FLOOR SPACE. A CLEAR FLOOR SPACE
 COMPLYING WITH 305, POSITIONED FOR A FORWARD APPROACH,
 AND KNEE AND TOE CLEARANCE COMPLYING WITH 306 SHALL BE
 PROVIDED, SEE EXCEPTIONS ALSO, BUT SHOW THE REQUIRED
 CLEAR FLOOR SPACE ON THE FLOOR PLAN.
  
 4C) 606.5 EXPOSED PIPES AND SURFACES. WATER SUPPLY &
 DRAINPIPES UNDER LAVATORIES AND SINKS SHALL BE
 INSULATED OR OTHERWISE CONFIGURED TO PROTECT AGAINST
 CONTACT.
  
 5) WHAT IS NOT KNOWN IF IN THE BREAK ROOM ELEVATION, IF
 THERE IS A MICROWAVE IN THE UPPER CABINETS. A MICROWAVE
 WILL NEED TO COMPLY WITH THE 2020 FBC-ACCESSIBILITY
 CODE:
  
 5A) 308 REACH RANGES:
 308.2 FORWARD REACH./ 308.2.1 UNOBSTRUCTED/ 308.2.2
 OBSTRUCTED HIGH REACH.
 308.3 SIDE REACH. / 308.3.1 UNOBSTRUCTED/ 308.3.2
 OBSTRUCTED HIGH REACH.
  
 5B) 309 OPERABLE PARTS
 309.3 HEIGHT. OPERABLE PARTS SHALL BE PLACED WITHIN ONE
 OR MORE OF THE REACH RANGES SPECIFIED IN 308.
 309.4 OPERATION. OPERABLE PARTS SHALL BE OPERABLE WITH
 ONE HAND AND SHALL NOT REQUIRE TIGHT GRASPING,
 PINCHING, OR TWISTING OF THE WRIST. THE FORCE REQUIRED
 TO ACTIVATE OPERABLE PARTS SHALL BE 5 POUNDS (22.2 N)
 MAXIMUM.
  
 6) SHEET A1.1 THE RESTROOM ELEVATIONS TOILET PAPER
 DISPENSERS. SEE THE 2020 ACCESS. CODE SECTION. 604.7.
 THE TOILET PAPER DISPENSER SHALL COMPLY WITH 309.4 AND
 SHALL BE 7 INCHES MINIMUM TO 9 INCHES MAXIMUM IN FRONT
 OF THE WATER CLOSET MEASURED TO THE CENTERLINE OF THE
 DISPENSER.
  
 7) A TRANSMITTAL LETTER LISTING THE ORIGINAL REVIEW
 COMMENT NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE REVISION
 MADE, IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION PAGE WHERE
 THE CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL HELP TO EXPEDITE YOUR
