 2020 EXISTING BUILDING CODE. 801.3 COMPLIANCE. ALL NEW
 CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND SPACES
 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 1) SHEET A101 THE FLOOR PLAN:
 1) IN THE MASTER BEDROOM AND GUST BEDROOM THERE IS A
 SQUARE WITH 2 INSIDE. THE SCOPE OF WORK SHOWS A SQUARE
 BOX WITH 2A & 2B IN THE BOX. UNDER THE 2A BOX REPLACE
 CARPET, BOX 2B REPLACE EXISTING TILE WHERE NECESSARY.
 IN THE FLOOR PLAN THERE IS NEITHER AN 2A OR 2B. THE
 BOTTOM RIGHT HAND CORNER DETAIL # 5 FLOOR SECTION
 INDICATES THE USE OF PROTECTO WRAP WHISPER MAT CS.
 WHERE IS THE WHISPER MAT CS TO BE INSTALLED. 107.2.1.2
 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION IS REQUIRED. WHAT TYPE OF FLOOR
 FINISH.
 FLOOR INSULATION/ UNDERLAYMENT (FBC-B 2020) FOR TILE,
 STONE, MARBLE, VINYL AND WOOD FLOORING ALL NEED TO HAVE
 HAD THE SOUND UNDERLAYMENT TESTED FLOOR ASSEMBLIES TO
 THE FOLLOWING STANDARDS AND MEET THE QUALIFICATIONS
 LISTED UNDER EACH OF THE STANDARDS FOR A 6 INCH
 CONCRETE FLOOR ASSEMBLY/ NO DROPPED CEILING:
 PLEASE PROVIDE ALL THREE TEST REPORTS FOR TYPE I AND OR
 TYPE II BUILDINGS SHOWING COMPLIANCE WITH:
  
 1A) FBC-B 2020 1207.3 STRUCTURE-BORNE SOUND.
 FLOOR/CEILING ASSEMBLIES BETWEEN DWELLING UNITS OR
 BETWEEN A DWELLING UNIT AND A PUBLIC OR SERVICE AREA
 WITHIN THE STRUCTURE SHALL HAVE AN IMPACT INSULATION
 CLASS (IIC) RATING OF NOT LESS THAN 50 (45 IF FIELD
 TESTED) WHEN TESTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E-492.
  
 1B) FBC-B 2020 1207.2 AIR-BORNE SOUND. WALLS,
 PARTITIONS AND FLOOR/CEILING ASSEMBLIES SEPARATING
 DWELLING UNITS FROM EACH OTHER OR FROM PUBLIC OR
 SERVICE AREAS SHALL HAVE A SOUND TRANSMISSION CLASS
 (STC) OF NOT LESS THAN 50 (45 IF FIELD TESTED) FOR
 AIR-BORNE NOISE WHEN TESTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E
 90.
  
 1C) FLAME SPREAD- FBC-B 2020 603.1. EXCEPTION 2.
 INSULATION INSTALLED BETWEEN A FINISHED FLOOR AND SOLID
 DECKING WITHOUT INTERVENING AIRSPACE SHALL BE ALLOWED
 TO HAVE A FLAME SPREAD INDEX OF NOT MORE THAN 200.
  
 FLAME SPREAD INDEX. A COMPARATIVE MEASURE, EXPRESSED AS
 A DIMENSIONLESS NUMBER, DERIVED FROM VISUAL
 MEASUREMENTS OF THE SPREAD OF FLAME VERSUS TIME FOR A
 MATERIAL TESTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E 84 OR UL 723.
  
 2A) SHEET A101 NOTE 6 INDICATES NEW FLOOR TILE TO BE
 INSTALLED ON THE BALCONY DECK. THE BALCONY DECK ILL
 NEED TO BE INSPECTED AND REVIEWED BY A STRUCTURAL
 ENGINEER TO VERIFY THERE IS NO VISUAL CRACKING,
 SPALLING OF THE CONCRETE BALCONY AND SUPPLY A SIGNED
 AND SEALED REPORT. IF STRUCTURAL CRACKS ARE FOUND, THEN
 THE ENGINEER IS TO RECOMMEND AND INSPECT THE REPAIR
 WORK ON THE BALCONY, AND IF RECOMMENDATIONS OF
 WATERPROOFING THE DECK BEFORE THE INSTALLATION OF TILE.
 NOTE THIS IS A HIGHRISE BUILDING, THRESHOLD BUILDING,
 THE STRUCTURAL INSPECTOR (SI) TO VERIFY THE CONDITION
 OF THE BALCONY SLAB.
  
 2B) WITH THE PLACEMENT OF THE NEW TILE THE STRUCTURAL
 ENGINEER IS TO VERIFY THE WEEP HOLES OF THE SLIDING
 GLASS DOORS WILL BE ABOVE THE TILE AND NOT DAM UP WATER
 THAT COULD IN THE FUTURE CAUSE DETERIORATION OF
 THE BALCONY SLAB THROUGH WATER INTRUSION INTO THE
 CONCRETE CREATING SPALLING. 2020 EXISTING BUILDING CODE
 LEVEL II 801.3 COMPLIANCE. ALL NEW CONSTRUCTION
 ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND SPACES SHALL COMPLY
 WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE,
 BUILDING. CREATION OR EXTENSION OF NONCONFORMITY. ALL
 NEW WORK, RE-CONFIGURATION SHALL NOT CREATE OR EXTEND
 ANY NONCONFORMITY IN THE EXISTING BUILDING TO WHICH THE
 RE-CONFIGURATION OF SPACE IS BEING MADE WITH REGARD TO
 ACCESSIBILITY, STRUCTURAL STRENGTH, FIRE SAFETY, MEANS
 OF EGRESS, OR THE CAPACITY OF MECHANICAL, PLUMBING, OR
 ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS.
  
 3) THE MASTER BATH SHOWS THE MASTER BATH BEING
 RE-CONFIGURED, THE REMOVAL OF TUB AND A NEW LOCATION
 FOR THE SHOWER. PLEASE PROVIDE CODE COMPLIANCE FOR THE
 FOLLOWING:
  
 3A) NEW SHOWER LOCATION. POST TENSION SLAB/ NEW HOLES.
 THE PLAN IS SILENT AS IF THE LOCATION OF THE EXISTING
 TUB DRAIN IS GOING TO BE REUSED IN THE SAME LOCATION.
 IF NOT, THEN THE FLOOR SLAB WILL NEED TO BE X-RAYED TO
 FIND THE POST TENSION CHORD LOCATIONS. 107.2.1.2.
 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION IS REQUIRED.
  
 3B) OLD SHOWER LOCATION AND TUB WASTE BOX.
 THROUGH-PENETRATIONS FIRESTOP SYSTEMS (HORIZONTAL
 ASSEMBLIES). IF A NEW FLOOR PENETRATION IS MADE FOR THE
 FUTURE SHOWER DRAIN, THEN YOU NEED TO SHOW COMPLIANCE
 WITH THE 2020 FBC-B SECTION 714.5.1.2.
 THROUGH-PENETRATIONS FIRESTOP SYSTEMS (HORIZONTAL
 ASSEMBLIES). THROUGH PENETRATIONS SHALL BE PROTECTED BY
 A THROUGH PENETRATION FIRESTOP SYSTEM INSTALLED IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E814 OR UL 1479. THE SYSTEM SHALL
 HAVE AN F RATING / T RATING OF NOT LESS THAN 1 HOUR BUT
 NOT LESS THAN THE REQUIRED RATING OF THE FLOOR
 PENETRATED.
  
 3C) 2020 FBC-B 2509.2 BASE FOR TILE. MATERIALS USED AS
 A BASE FOR WALL TILE IN TUB AND SHOWER AREAS AND WALLS
 AND CEILING PANELS IN SHOWER AREAS SHALL BE OF
 MATERIALS LISTED IN TABLE 2509.2 AND INSTALLED IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH MANUFACTURER?S RECOMMENDATIONS. WATER
 RESISTANT GYPSUM BACKING BOARD SHALL BE USED AS A BASE
 FOR TILE IN WATER CLOSET COMPARTMENT WALLS WHEN
 INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH GA-216 OR ASTM C840 AND
 THE MANUFACTURE?S RECOMMENDATIONS.
  
 3D) 2020 FBC-B SHOWERS & TUBS 1210.3. SHOWER
 COMPARTMENTS AND BATHTUBS WITH INSTALLED SHOWER HEADS
 SHALL BE FINISHED WITH A NONABSORBENT SURFACE TO A
 HEIGHT NOT LESS THAN 72 INCHES ABOVE THE DRAIN INLET.
  
 4) A TRANSMITTAL LETTER LISTING THE ORIGINAL REVIEW
 COMMENT NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE REVISION
 MADE, IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION PAGE WHERE
 THE CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL HELP TO EXPEDITE YOUR
