 BEACH BUILDING DEPARTMENT PROVIDES AN OPTION FOR
 CHANGING AN FHA COMPLIANCE STRUCTURE. THE OWNER AND
 DESIGNER OF RECORD ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THE PROPOSED
 BATHROOM DESIGN DOES NOT MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE
 FAIR HOUSING ACCESSIBILITY GUIDELINES. THE OWNER AGREES
 TO REVERT THE UNIT BACK TO COMPLIANCE AT THE TIME OF
 SALE IF REQUESTED BY THE BUYER. THIS WILL BE IN A
 LETTER-TYPE FORMAT SIGNED AND NOTARIZED BY THE OWNER.
 WE PROVIDE A SAMPLE LETTER, AND IT MUST BE SUBMITTED TO
 THE BUILDING DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF WPB. IF THIS
 OPTION IS CHOSEN, PLEASE SEND AN EMAIL TO

 2. FBC 2004 R307.2 IS NOT THE PREVAILING CODE. NOTE
 PERTAINING TO SHOWER/BATHTUB COMPARTMENT SHALL
 REFERENCE FBC PL 421.4.1: BATHTUB FLOORS, SHOWER
 FLOORS, WALL AREAS ABOVE BUILT-IN TUBS THAT HAVE
 INSTALLED SHOWER HEADS AND WALLS IN SHOWER COMPARTMENTS
 SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED OF SMOOTH, CORROSION-RESISTANT AND
 NONABSORBENT WATERPROOF MATERIALS. WALL MATERIALS SHALL
 EXTEND TO A HEIGHT OF NOT LESS THAN 6 FEET ABOVE THE
 ROOM FLOOR LEVEL, AND NOT LESS THAN 70 INCHES ABOVE THE
 DRAIN OF THE TUB OR SHOWER. SUCH WALLS SHALL FORM A
 WATER-TIGHT JOINT WITH EACH OTHER AND WITH EITHER THE
 TUB OR SHOWER FLOOR.
  
 3. SHOWER INSTALLATION DETAIL SHALL SHOW THE ADDITIONAL
 FOLLOWING INFORMATION TO COMPLY WITH FBC PL 421.5.2:
 LINER SHALL TURN UP ON ALL SIDES NOT LESS THAN 2 INCHES
 ABOVE THE FINISHED THRESHOLD LEVEL. LINER SHALL NOT BE
 NAILED OR PERFORATED AT ANY POINT LESS THAN 1 INCH (25
 MM) ABOVE THE FINISHED THRESHOLD. LINER SHALL BE
 PITCHED ONE-FOURTH UNIT VERTICAL IN 12 UNITS HORIZONTAL
 (2-PERCENT SLOPE) AND SHALL BE SLOPED TOWARD THE
 FIXTURE DRAINS.
  
 4. MASTER BATH:
 ....A) IT WOULD APPEAR THAT THE LAVATORY IN EXISTING
 CONDITIONS IS AN INDIVIDUALLY VENTED FIXTURE DRAIN AND
 THE FLOOR PENETRATION WILL NOT BE RELOCATED. PER WPB
 FBC 107.2.1, CLARIFY/CONFIRM ON THE PLANS. IF THIS IS
 THE CASE PROVIDE NOTE ON PROPOSED FLOOR PLAN STATING
 "MODIFY EXISTING IN-WALL SANITARY WASTE AND VENT PIPING
 BY PROVIDING COMMON VENTING OF TWO (2) LAVATORIES;
 COMPLY WITH FBC PL SECTION 909.1, TABLE 909.1 AND
 SECTION 911." THIS IS IN LIEU OF REQUIRING A SANITARY
 RISER DIAGRAM FOR THIS CONDITION. IF THIS NOT THE
 CONDITION, A SANITARY RISER DIAGRAM WILL BE REQUIRED
 SHOWING HOW THIS PIPING WILL BE ACCOMPLISHED IN A
 MANNER THAT COMPLIES WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FBC PL
 CHAPTERS 7 AND 9. ADDITIONALLY INDICATE TYPE OF
 MATERIAL (I.E. CAST IRON, PVC) OF DRAIN PIPE
 PENETRATING THROUGH THE FLOOR AND THE HORIZONTAL BRANCH
 BELOW. PROVIDE ASSEMBLY HAVING A FIRE-RESISTANCE RATING
 OF NOT LESS THAN 1 HOUR TO BE USED FOR DEALING WITH THE
 SHOWER FLOOR PENETRATION AS REQUIRED BY FBC 714.4.1
 THROUGH 714.4.4.1.2 PER WPB FPC 107.2.1. SHOW HOW
 ABANDONED PENETRATION WILL BE REMEDIATED.
 .... B) PER WPB FBC 107.2.1, PROVIDE NOTE ON PROPOSED
 FLOOR PLAN STATING "MODIFY EXISTING IN-WALL WATER
 PIPING TO ACCOMMODATE TWO (2) NEW LAVATORIES WHICH ARE
 REPLACING ORIGINAL SINGLE LAVATORY; COMPLY WITH
 REQUIREMENTS OF FBC PL CHAPTER 6 INCLUDING BUT NOT
 LIMITED TO SECTIONS 604 (SIZING), 605.2.1 (LEAD
 CONTENT) AND 607.4 (HOT WATER ON THE LEFT)"
  
 5. REPLACE EXISTING BATHTUBS WITH SHOWERS: THE SHOWER
 DRAIN PENETRATION WILL BE RELOCATED FROM EXISTING
 CONDITIONS. PROVIDE NOTE "MODIFY EXISTING FIXTURE DRAIN
 TO ACCOMMODATE NEW DRAIN LOCATION, COMPLY WITH FBC PL
 SECTION 909.1 AND TABLE 909.1." THIS IS IN LIEU OF
 REQUIRING A SANITARY RISER DIAGRAM FOR THIS CONDITION.
  
 6. PROVIDE ASSEMBLY HAVING A FIRE-RESISTANCE RATING OF
 NOT LESS THAN 1 HOUR TO BE USED FOR DEALING WITH THE
 SHOWER FLOOR PENETRATION AS REQUIRED BY FBC 714.4.1
 THROUGH 714.4.4.1.2 PER WPB FPC 107.2.1. SHOW HOW
 ABANDONED PENETRATION WILL BE REMEDIATED.
  
 7. PER WPB FBC 107.2.1, PROVIDE NOTE, ?PER FBC PL
 412.3, INDIVIDUAL SHOWER AND TUB-SHOWER COMBINATION
 VALVES SHALL BE BALANCED-PRESSURE, THERMOSTATIC OR
 COMBINATION BALANCED-PRESSURE/THERMOSTATIC VALVES THAT
 CONFORM TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF ASSE 1016/ASME
 A112.1016/CSA B125.16 OR ASME A112.18.1/CSA B125.1 AND
 SHALL BE INSTALLED AT THE POINT OF USE. SHOWER AND
 TUB-SHOWER COMBINATION VALVES REQUIRED BY THIS SECTION
 SHALL BE EQUIPPED WITH A MEANS TO LIMIT THE MAXIMUM
 SETTING OF THE VALVE TO 120?F, WHICH SHALL BE FIELD
 ADJUSTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE MANUFACTURER?S
 INSTRUCTIONS. IN-LINE THERMOSTATIC VALVES SHALL NOT BE
 UTILIZED FOR COMPLIANCE WITH THIS SECTION?
  
 8. PER WPB FBC 107.2.1, SHOW THE PROPOSED SHOWERS AS
 SHOWERS, NOT BATHTUBS.
