 1- THE PROPOSED ADDITION IS GOING TO BE BUILT IN A AE
 FLOOD ZONE WITH A BASE FLOOD ELEVATION (BFE) OF 6 FEET
 BASED ON NAVD 88.
 THE PROPOSED ADDITION IS CONSIDERED A SUBSTANTIAL
 IMPROVEMENT. THE ADDITION AND THE EXISTING HOUSE SHALL
 HAVE THE LOWEST FLOOR FINISHED ELEVATION ELEVATED TO OR
 ABOVE THE BASE FLOOD ELEVATION PLUS TWO FEET.
 THEREFORE, THE MIN. REQUIRED FINISHED FLOOR ELEVATION
 IS 8 FEET.
 CITY ORDINANCE 4729-17.
 SEC. 18-33 TECHNICAL AMENDMENTS TO FLORIDA BUILDING
 CODE.
 SEC. 107.3.5.3 CITY AMENDMENTS.
  
 NOTE:
 DURING THE PERMITTING OF THIS STRUCTURE THREE DIFFERENT
 FLOOD ELEVATION CERTIFICATES WILL BE REQUIRED:
 A) CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS.
 B) BUILDING UNDER CONSTRUCTION.
 C) FINISHED CONSTRUCTION.
  
 RESPONSE:
 PROPERTY APPRAISAL SUBMITTED WAS DISCUSSED WITH ROBERT
 BROWN (BUILDING OFFICIAL). THE COST OF $550.00 PER
 SQUARE FOOT DECLARED IN THE REPORT TO REBUILD THE HOUSE
 SEEMS TO BE TOO HIGH. THIS VALUE DOESN'T REFLECT A
 REALISTIC COST PER SQUARE FOOT VALUE FOR "AVERAGE"
 CONSTRUCTION QUALITY AS STATED ON APPRAISAL REPORT AND
 AS SHOWN ON PICTURES SUBMITTED. THIS REPORT IS NOT
 ACCEPTABLE FOR BUILDING DEPARTMENT TO VERIFY VALUE OF
 EXISTING STRUCTURE AND TO DETERMINE IF SUBSTANTIAL
 IMPROVEMENT IS TRIGGERED.
