 1) 2ND REQUEST/ SEMI-COMPLIED. A NEW GENERIC CUT
 SECTION OF A ROOF TOP CURB IS SHOWN. THE DETAIL DOES
 NOT INDICATE THE TYPE OF ROOF DECK. IF CONCRETE OR IF
 THIS ROOF DECK IS COMPOSED OF A BAR JOIST SYSTEM AND
 METAL B DECKING, SPACING OF BAR JOIST, POINT LOADING OF
 THE BAR JOIST, IF NEW METAL ANGLE IRON IS NEEDED TO
 FORM THE SUPPORT FRAMING FOR THE NEW ROOF TOP RTU. THE
 DETAIL ALSO FAILS TO PROVIDE THE PROPOSED ANCHORING
 SYSTEM OF THE RTU UNIT TO THE CURB, NO CALCULATIONS
 WERE SUBMITTED. 107.2.1.2. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION IS
 REQUIRED, SEE 1ST ROUND OF COMMENTS.

 ROOF CURB & MECHANICAL VENT (OUTSIDE AIR INTAKE FAN).
 SEE MECHANICAL PLANS. SHEET M1.0 DETAIL FOR NEW ROOF
 CURB AND LOW PROFILE OUTSIDE AIR INTAKE FAN. THERE ARE
 NO DETAILS IN EITHER THE ARCHITECTURAL OR MECHANICAL
 PLANS FOR THE ROOF FRAMING AROUND THE NEW ROOF TOP
 OPENING. HOW THE ROOF TOP CURB AND FAN ARE GOING TO BE
 ANCHORED TO THE MWFRS (MAIN WIND FORCE RESISTING
 SYSTEM).
  
 2020 FBC-M- 301.15 WIND RESISTANCE. MECHANICAL
 EQUIPMENT, APPLIANCES AND SUPPORTS THAT ARE EXPOSED TO
 WIND SHALL BE DESIGNED AND INSTALLED TO RESIST THE WIND
 PRESSURES DETERMINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.
 FBC-B-1609.6.4.4.1 COMPONENTS AND CLADDING. WIND
 PRESSURE FOR EACH COMPONENT OR CLADDING ELEMENT IS TO
 BE DESIGNED FOR WIND PRESSURES COMPONENTS AND
 ATTACHMENTS.
  
 1A)(1) 2ND REQUEST. THE NEW DETAIL ON SHEET A8.1 DETAIL
 16 DOES NOT STATE THE TYPE OF ROOF DECK.
 1ST ROUND OF COMMENTS. THE STEEL ROOF FRAMING MEMBERS
 AND ROOF DECK PANELS WILL NEED TO BE EITHER BOLTED OR
 WELDED ON HE JOBSITE FOR INSTALLATION. WELDED OR BOLTED
 CONNECTIONS. THE CONTRACTOR IS REQUIRED TO PROVIDE WELD
 PROCEDURE SPECIFICATIONS & WELDER OPERATOR PERFORMANCE
 QUALIFICATION RECORDS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE REFERENCED
 STANDARDS AT TIME OF INSPECTION FOR FIELD WIELDING, ON
 THE JOB-SITE WIELDING. THIRD PARTY CERTIFICATION WILL
 BE REQUIRED. REPORTS SUBMITTED TO BUILDING INSPECTOR AT
 TIME OF FRAMING INSPECTION.

 DOES THIS ALSO INCLUDE THE AREA DIRECTLY ABOVE THE

 SCATTERED OBSTRUCTIONS HAVING HEIGHTS GENERALLY LESS
 THAN 30 FEET IN HEIGHT.

 THAN ONE WIND EXPOSURE IS UTILIZED. TABLE 1609.7.2.

 TOP OR THE EQUIPMENT TO BE LOCATED ON THE ROOF TOP.
 DESIGN WIND PRESSURES TO BE USED FOR EXTERIOR
 COMPONENTS AND CLADDING MATERIALS SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED
 BY THE REGISTERED DESIGN PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBLE FOR
 THE DESIGN OF THE STRUCTURE, PSF.
 2.6. 2ND REQUEST. TABLE 1609.7(2) ADJUSTMENT FACTORS
 FOR HEIGHT & EXPOSURE. PROVIDE THE MEAN ROOF HEIGHT FOR
 THE BUILDING. ASCE 7-10 TABLE 30.3.1. 1609.3.1 WIND

 OF REVIEW AND APPROVAL. THE 24-PAGE SIGNA ARTIST IPM
 FINAL STUDY IS NOT SIGNED NOR SEALED BY AN ENGINEER OR
 SHOP DRAWING STAMP OF APPROVAL BY THE DESIGNER OF
 RECORD. FL 61G1-23.015 (2) THE ARCHITECT IS RESPONSIBLE
 FOR SUPERVISING AND REVIEWING ALL PROJECT DATA,
 REPORTS, SHOP DRAWINGS ETC.
