 2020 EXISTING BUILDING CODE. 801.3 COMPLIANCE. ALL NEW
 CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND SPACES
 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 1) THE SPEC SHEET FOR SUPER SAM 125 UNDERLAYMENT SOUND
 PROOFING IS NOTHING MORE THAN A SALES BROCHURE. TO DATE
 WE DO NOT HAVE SUPER SAM 125 IN OUR FOLDER OF APPROVED
 FLOOR UNDERLAYMENT SYSTEMS.
 THE CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH REQUIRES THE ACTUAL TEST
 REPORTS LISTED BELOW.
  
 FLOOR INSULATION (FBC-B 2020). FOR TILE, STONE, MARBLE,
 VINYL AND WOOD FLOORING ALL NEED TO HAVE HAD THE SOUND
 UNDERLAYMENT TESTED FLOOR ASSEMBLIES TO THE FOLLOWING
 STANDARDS AND MEET THE QUALIFICATIONS LISTED UNDER EACH
 OF THE STANDARDS FOR A 6 INCH CONCRETE FLOOR ASSEMBLY/
 NO DROPPED CEILING:
 PLEASE PROVIDE ALL THREE TEST REPORTS FOR TYPE I AND OR
 TYPE II BUILDINGS SHOWING COMPLIANCE WITH:
  
 1A) FBC-B 2020 1207.3 STRUCTURE-BORNE SOUND.
 FLOOR/CEILING ASSEMBLIES BETWEEN DWELLING UNITS OR
 BETWEEN A DWELLING UNIT AND A PUBLIC OR SERVICE AREA
 WITHIN THE STRUCTURE SHALL HAVE AN IMPACT INSULATION
 CLASS (IIC) RATING OF NOT LESS THAN 50 (45 IF FIELD
 TESTED) WHEN TESTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E-492.
  
 1B) FBC-B 2020 1207.2 AIR-BORNE SOUND. WALLS,
 PARTITIONS AND FLOOR/CEILING ASSEMBLIES SEPARATING
 DWELLING UNITS FROM EACH OTHER OR FROM PUBLIC OR
 SERVICE AREAS SHALL HAVE A SOUND TRANSMISSION CLASS
 (STC) OF NOT LESS THAN 50 (45 IF FIELD TESTED) FOR
 AIR-BORNE NOISE WHEN TESTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E
 90.
  
 1C) FLAME SPREAD- FBC-B 2020 603.1. EXCEPTION 2.
 INSULATION INSTALLED BETWEEN A FINISHED FLOOR AND SOLID
 DECKING WITHOUT INTERVENING AIRSPACE SHALL BE ALLOWED
 TO HAVE A FLAME SPREAD INDEX OF NOT MORE THAN 200.
  
 FLAME SPREAD INDEX. A COMPARATIVE MEASURE, EXPRESSED AS
 A DIMENSIONLESS NUMBER, DERIVED FROM VISUAL
 MEASUREMENTS OF THE SPREAD OF FLAME VERSUS TIME FOR A
 MATERIAL TESTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E 84 OR UL 723.
  
 2)FLOOR PLAN-PROPOSED CONDITIONS.
 2A) THE MASTER BATHROOM THE TUB LOCATION CHANGES, WHICH
 WILL MEAN A NEW PENETRATION THROUGH THE POST TENSION
 FLOOR SYSTEM. THE FLOOR WILL NEED TO BE X-RAYED TO
 LOCATE THE LOCATION OF THE EXISTING POST TENSIONED
 CHORDS. 107.2.1.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION IS REQUIRED.
  
 2B) THE PROPOSED NEW TUB LOCATION AND CORED HOLE
 THROUGH THE FIRE RATED FLOOR SYSTEM WILL NEED TO
 PROVIDE COMPLIANCE WITH 2020 FBC-B SECTION 714.4.1.2
 THROUGH-PENETRATIONS FIRE STOP SYSTEMS FOR HORIZONTAL
 (FLOOR) SYSTEMS. THE SYSTEM SHALL HAVE AN F RATING/ T
 RATING OF NOT LESS THAN 1 HOUR BUT NOT LESS THAN THE
 REQUIRED RATING OF THE FLOOR PENETRATED. SEE TABLE 601
 FLOOR RATINGS FOR TYPE I-A & I-B BUILDINGS REQUIRE A 2
 HOUR FLOOR RATING.
  
 2C) THE FLOOR PLAN IS SILENT AS TO THE TYPE OF BACKER
 BOARD FOR THE SHOWER AND TUB FOR ALL BATHROOMS.
 2020 FBC-B 2509.2 BASE FOR TILE. MATERIALS USED AS A
 BASE FOR WALL TILE IN TUB AND SHOWER AREAS AND WALLS
 AND CEILING PANELS IN SHOWER AREAS SHALL BE OF
 MATERIALS LISTED IN TABLE 2509.2 AND INSTALLED IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH MANUFACTURER?S RECOMMENDATIONS. WATER
 RESISTANT GYPSUM BACKING BOARD SHALL BE USED AS A BASE
 FOR TILE IN WATER CLOSET COMPARTMENT WALLS WHEN
 INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH GA-216 OR ASTM C840 AND
 THE MANUFACTURE?S RECOMMENDATIONS.
  
 3) FOR FUTURE REFERENCE. THE DETAIL DRYWALL TO CEILING
 IS DRAWN BACKWARDS. THE TWO FLANGES SHOULD BE DRAWN
 NEXT TO THE CONCRETE CEILING SO THEY CAN BE SHOT INTO
 THE CONCRETE AND THE RAISED WIDE CENTER SECTION GIVE
 THE DRYWALL HANGER SOMETHING TO SECURE THE DRYWALL TOO.
  
 4) A TRANSMITTAL LETTER LISTING THE ORIGINAL REVIEW
 COMMENT NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE REVISION
 MADE, IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION PAGE WHERE
 THE CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL HELP TO EXPEDITE YOUR
