 2020 EXISTING BUILDING CODE. 801.3 COMPLIANCE. ALL NEW
 CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND SPACES
 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 1)SHEET A-1. FLOORING REPORTS FOR PROFLEX RCU-500 FOR
 QUARRY TILE THE REPORTS ARE ALL CODE COMPLIANT BUT THE
 FLOOR FINISH SCHEDULE STATES THE FLOORING MATERIAL IS
 TBD/ TO BE DETERMINED. PLEASE PROVIDE THE TYPE OF FLOOR
 FINISH AND REPORTS THAT MATCH.
  
 2020 WEST PALM BEACH AMENDMENTS TO THE FLORIDA BUILDING
 CODE, CHAPTER 1, ADMINISTRATION 107.2.1. DRAWINGS &
 SPECIFICATIONS SHALL CONTAIN INFORMATION, IN THE FORM
 OF NOTES OR OTHERWISE, AS TO THE QUALITY OF MATERIALS,
 WHERE QUALITY IS ESSENTIAL TO CONFORMITY WITH THE
 TECHNICAL CODES. CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS SHALL BE
 SUFFICIENT CLARITY TO INDICATE THE LOCATION, NATURE AND
 EXTENT OF THE WORK PROPOSED AND SHOW IN DETAIL THAT IT
 WILL CONFORM TO THE PROVISIONS OF THIS CODE AND
 RELEVANT LAWS, ORDINANCES, RULES AND REGULATIONS, AS
 DETERMINED BY THE BUILDING OFFICIAL.
  
 2) SHEET A-1. THE WIND DESIGN PROVIDED IS ASCE 7-16,
 170 VULT/ 132 VASD, EXPOSURE D, 22 STORY BUILDING
 ROUGHLY 200 FT. TALL. THERE IS A NOTE STATING THE
 DESIGN WIND PRESSURES (ASSUMED IN VASD) WINDOWS AND
 SLIDING GLASS DOORS WORST CASE WITH PRESSURES OF
 POSITIVE + 63.3 PSF AND NEGATIVE -84.7 PSF. WORST CASE
 SCENARIO IS ZONE 5 @ 10 SQUARE FEET, THE PRESSURES ARE
 -120.8 PSF AND +65.9 PSF / VASD. ASCE 7-16, COMPONENTS
 AND CLADDING.
  
 3) SHEET A-1. THE PLANS SHOW IN THE NEW DINING ROOM
 AREA A REDUCED BALCONY WITH A INSIDE CORNER WITH
 SLIDING GLASS DOORS ANCHORING TO THIS FRAMING MEMBER.
 THIS FRAMING MEMBER DOES NOT CALL OUT WHAT TYPE OF
 MATERIAL, GAUGE OF THE MATERIAL, ANCHORING OF THE
 MATERIAL TO THE CONCRETE FLOOR SLAB OR THE FLOOR/
 CEILING ASSEMBLY ABOVE. THERE WAS NO ENGINEERING FOR
 ANCHORING TO HORIZONTAL FLOOR/ CEILING ,NOR OF SLIDING
 GLASS TRACK FRAME TO THE WIND DESIGN LISTED ABOVE.

 THE SUBMITTED PRODUCT APPROVAL HAVE IDENTIFIED THE
 OPENING WIDTH & HEIGHT, TYPE OF GLAZING, MULLION SIZE,
 LENGTH IF UNREINFORCED OR REINFORCED INFORMATION IF
 REQUIRED, ATTACHMENTS AND ASSOCIATE PRESSURES FOR EACH
 OPENING SIZE. 2020 FBC-B 1405.13.1 INSTALLATION.
 WINDOWS AND DOORS SHALL BE INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH
 APPROVED MANUFACTURER?S INSTRUCTIONS. FASTENER SIZE AND
 SPACING SHALL BE PROVIDED IN SUCH INSTRUCTIONS AND
 SHALL BE CALCULATED BASED ON MAXIMUM LOADS AND SPACING
 USED IN THE TESTS.
  
 5A) SHEET A-1. WITHOUT THE DEMOLITION PLANS LOCATIONS
 FOR SHOWERS AND TUB CAN NOT BE VERIFIED IF EXISTING
 LOCATION OR A NEW LOCATION SINCE THE PLANS SHOW A TUB
 INFILL DETAIL. THIS MEANS IF THERE ARE NEW FLOOR
 PENETRATIONS THE SLAB WILL NEED TO BE X-RAYED TO LOCATE
 THE POST TENSION CHORDS, AS TO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE
 POST TENSION CHORDS. 107.2.1.2. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
 IS REQUIRED.
  
 5B) SHEET A-1 INDICATES THE USE OF FIRE MORTAR 3M OR
 EQUAL. 2020 FBC-B 714.5 HORIZONTAL ASSEMBLIES,
 714.5.1.2 THROUGH PENETRATIONS (OF HORIZONTAL
 ASSEMBLIES) FIRE STOP SYSTEMS. 714.5.1.2
 THROUGH-PENETRATION FIRESTOP SYSTEM. THROUGH
 PENETRATIONS SHALL BE PROTECTED BY AN APPROVED
 THROUGH-PENETRATION FIRESTOP SYSTEM INSTALLED AND
 TESTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E814 OR UL 1479, WITH A
 MINIMUM POSITIVE PRESSURE DIFFERENTIAL OF 0.01 INCH OF
 WATER (2.49 PA). THE SYSTEM SHALL HAVE AN F RATING/ T
 RATING OF NOT LESS THAN 1 HOUR BUT NOT LESS THAN THE
 REQUIRED RATING OF THE FLOOR PENETRATED. THE 2020 FBC-B
 TABLE 601 REQUIRES A 2-HOUR FIRE RATING FOR THE FLOOR
 ASSEMBLY.
  
  
 6) SHEET A-1. THE FLOOR PLAN DOES NOT PROVIDE WHAT TYPE
 OF WALL FINISH AND BACKER BOARD WILL BE ON THE TUB &
 SHOWER WALLS. 2020 FBC-B 1210.2.2. WALLS & PARTITIONS.
 THIS COMMENT IS A RESULT OF THE BUILDING OFFICIAL
 INTERPRETATION ON 06/2020. IN RESTROOMS & SERVICE SINK
 AREAS EPOXY PAINT IS NO LONGER CONSIDERED A SMOOTH
 HARD, NON-ABSORBENT SURFACE.
  
 6A) 1210.2.2 WALLS & PARTITIONS WITHIN 2 FEET OF
 SERVICE SINKS, URINALS, AND WATER CLOSETS SHALL HAVE A
 SMOOTH, HARD, NON-ABSORBENT SURFACE TO A HEIGHT OF NOT
 LESS THAN 4 FEET ABOVE THE FLOOR, EXCEPT FOR STRUCTURAL
 ELEMENTS, THE MATERIAL USED IN SUCH WALLS SHALL BE OF A
 TYPE THAT IS NOT ADVERSELY AFFECTED BY MOISTURE.
  
 6B) 2509.1. WET AREAS. SHOWERS AND PUBLIC TOILET WALLS
 SHALL COMPLY WITH 1210.2.
  
 6C) 1210.2. FINISH MATERIALS. WALLS, BASE, FLOORS AND
 PARTITIONS IN TOILET AND BATHROOMS SHALL COMPLY WITH
 SECTIONS 1210.1 THROUGH 1210.4.
  
 6D) 2020 FBC-B 2509.2 BASE FOR TILE. MATERIALS USED AS
 A BASE FOR WALL TILE IN TUB AND SHOWER AREAS AND WALLS
 AND CEILING PANELS IN SHOWER AREAS SHALL BE OF
 MATERIALS LISTED IN TABLE 2509.2 AND INSTALLED IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH MANUFACTURER?S RECOMMENDATIONS. WATER
 RESISTANT GYPSUM BACKING BOARD SHALL BE USED AS A BASE
 FOR TILE IN WATER CLOSET COMPARTMENT WALLS WHEN
 INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH GA-216 OR ASTM C840 AND
 THE MANUFACTURE?S RECOMMENDATIONS.
  
 6E) 2020 FBC-B SHOWERS & TUBS 1210.3. SHOWER
 COMPARTMENTS AND BATHTUBS WITH INSTALLED SHOWER HEADS
 SHALL BE FINISHED WITH A NONABSORBENT SURFACE TO A
 HEIGHT NOT LESS THAN 72 INCHES ABOVE THE DRAIN INLET.

 COMMENT NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE REVISION
 MADE, IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION PAGE WHERE
 THE CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL HELP TO EXPEDITE YOUR
