 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 2A) (1) 3RD REVIEW, I SEE WHERE THE DESIGNER OF RECORD
 IS TRYING TO KEEP A OPEN MEZZANINE AS THE DESIGN
 PARAMETERS. THE CONCEPT OF THE OPEN MEZZANINE AND HOW
 THE AREAS WERE FIGURED IS MISLEADING. IN THE MEETING WE
 HAD I KEPT TRYING TO SHOW WHAT AREAS COULD BE USED IN
 ALLOWABLE FLOOR AREA, ALLOWABLE FLOOR AREA IS THAT AREA
 THAT ATMOSPHERICALLY COMMUNICATES. YOU USE THE FLOOR
 AREA ON THE 1ST FLOOR (GROUND FLOOR) WHICH THE DEMO
 SHEET SHOWS 1776.34 SQ. FT. THEN YOU DIVIDE THIS AREA
 BY 1/3 (2020 FBC-B 505.2.1) WHICH WILL GIVE YOU 592 SQ.
 FT. THE ALLOWABLE AREA FOR MEZZANINE. YOU ARE TAKING
 EXCEPTION # 2 FOR TYPE I, TYPE II CONSTRUCTION. THE
 1776 SQ. FT. / 2 = 888 SQ. FT. ALLOWABLE AREA FOR
 MEZZANINES. THE EXISTING MEZZANINE 405 SQ. FT. + 1305.8
 SQ. FT. NEW MEZZANINE = 1711 SQ. FT. (SHOWN ON THE D-1
 SHEET) OVER THE ALLOWABLE AREA. THE OTHER ISSUE WITH
 EXCEPTION # 2 IS THAT THIS BUILDING TYPE IS DECLARED AS
 TYPE VB CONSTRUCTION SPRINKLERED.
  
 2A)(2) PLEASE NOTE THE ATRIUM AREA IS THE ONLY WAY TO
 FIGURE THE 2ND STORY AREA OVER THE VETERINARY TENANT
 AREA. THE QUESTION IS WITH THE REMAINDER OF THE
 EXISTING MEZZANINE HOW WILL THIS AREA BE HANDLED WILL
 IT BE WALLED OFF TO THE ATRIUM OR A GLASS ENCLOSURE
 WITH A FIRE CURTAIN ON BOTH SIDES. 107.2.1.2
 2ND REVIEW, SAME COMMENT FOR THE NEW AREA OF THE 2ND
 STORY HOW THE NEW FLOOR AREA WILL BE SEPARATED FROM THE
 2-STORY HIGH ATRIUM, ONE HOUR SEPARATION IS REQUIRED.
 SINCE THERE IS TO BE NEW 2ND STORY AREA, THIS AREA NOW
 NEEDS SEPARATION FROM THE 2-STORY ATRIUM AREA (1 HOUR
 RATED WALLS OR GLASS WALL WITH A WATER CURTAIN BOTH
 SIDES AND GASKETED GLAZING). SHEETS A-1 & S-1. WITH THE
 NEW PARTIAL 2ND FLOOR EXPANSION THERE LEAVES AN AREA
 OPEN TO THE 2ND STORY, THIS IS ONLY ALLOWED WHEN IT IS
 A MEZZANINE. THE AREA IN QUESTION IS OVER 1/3RD OF THE
 FLOOR AREA THAT WAS OPEN AREA. THE COVERSHEET INDICATES
 THAT THIS BUILDING IS FIRE SPRINKLERED. THE OPEN AREA
 THAT IS NOW AN OPEN 2 STORY AREA WILL NOW NEED TO MEET
 THE REQUIREMENTS FOR A ATRIUM. SEE SECTION 404.6
 ENCLOSURES OF ATRIUMS AND EXCEPTIONS.
  
 2B) NEW COMMENT. CAF?/ MERCANTILE. PLEASE REVIEW
 SECTION 301.1 & 301.2 OF THE 2020 FBC-BUILDING CODE ON
 HOW TO CLASSIFY THIS OCCUPANCY AND OCCUPANT LOADS.
  
 2C) THE NEW FRONT DOOR # 2 INDICATES A SIDE APPROACH
 WHERE YOU HAVE SHOWN 48 INCHES OF WIDTH. THE 2020
 FBC-ACCESS. CODE SEE FIGURE 404.2.4.1(I) REQUIRES A
 MINIMUM OF 54 INCHES IN WIDTH TO BE ABLE TO MAKE THE
 TURN AND AN ADDITIONAL 24 INCHES FROM THE LATCH SIDE OF
 THE DOOR PARALLEL WITH THE DOOR.
  
 2D) THERE IS A NEW COUNTER IN THE NEW CORRIDOR 6 FEET
 LONG AT 34 INCHES IN HEIGHT THE PLANS DO NOT INDICATE
 IF THIS IS A WALL HUNG COUNTER AND OR IF IT HAS LEGS,
 SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH THE 2020 ACCESSIBILITY CODE
 SECTION PROTRUDING OBJECTS 307.2 PROTRUSION LIMITS
 307.2. OBJECTS WITH LEADING EDGES MORE THAN 27 INCHES
 AND NOT MORE THAN 80 INCHES ABOVE THE FLOOR SHALL NOT
 PROTRUDE MORE THAN 4 INCHES HORIZONTALLY INTO THE
