 1) CODE IN EFFECT CHANGED ON 1/1/2021 - PLEASE REVISE
 THE DRAWINGS TO SHOW THE DESIGN PER THE CODE IN EFFECT
 (2020 FBC AND ASCE 7-16)
 2) DRAWINGS SHOULD SHOW THE FOUNDATION SOIL BEARING
 PRESSURE. FBC R401.2
 3) PROVIDE A SIGNED AND SEALED SOIL REPORT OR PROVIDE A
 STATEMENT ON THE DRAWINGS THAT THE EXISTING SOIL
 BEARING CAPACITY MEETS THE REQUIRED DESIGN SOIL BEARING
 CAPACITY. FBC R401.4
 4) PLEASE SHOW THE PROPOSED ROOF SLOPE FBC
 R905.9.1SLOPE.
 BUILT-UP ROOFS SHALL HAVE A DESIGN SLOPE OF NOT LESS
 THAN ONE-FOURTH UNIT VERTICAL IN 12 UNITS HORIZONTAL
 (2-PERCENT SLOPE) FOR DRAINAGE.
 5) PLEASE CLARIFY THE JOIST WIDTH - DRAWING A2 SHOWS 2

 6) IF USING 2X10 JOIST - R30 BAT INSULATION DOES NOT
 ALLOW FOR THE REQUIRED 1 INCH AIR GAP FBC R806.3VENT
 AND INSULATION CLEARANCE.
 WHERE EAVE OR CORNICE VENTS ARE INSTALLED, BLOCKING,
 BRIDGING AND INSULATION SHALL NOT BLOCK THE FREE FLOW
 OF AIR. NOT LESS THAN A 1-INCH (25 MM) SPACE SHALL BE
 PROVIDED BETWEEN THE INSULATION AND THE ROOF SHEATHING
 AND AT THE LOCATION OF THE VENT.
 7) THE SOFFIT VENTILATION SHOULD BE A CONTINUOUS SCREEN
 VENT TO ALLOW EACH ENCLOSED RAFTER SPACE TO VENT FBC
 R806.1 VENTILATION REQUIRED.
 ENCLOSED ATTICS AND ENCLOSED RAFTER SPACES FORMED WHERE
 CEILINGS ARE APPLIED DIRECTLY TO THE UNDERSIDE OF ROOF
 RAFTERS SHALL HAVE CROSS VENTILATION FOR EACH SEPARATE
 SPACE
 8) PLEASE PROVIDE A COMPLETE FLOOR PLAN OF THE EXISTING
 HOUSE TO SHOW THE LOCATION OF THE EXISTING OR ADDED
 SMOKE DETECTORS PER FBC R314.2.2ALTERATIONS, REPAIRS
 AND ADDITIONS.
 WHERE ALTERATIONS, REPAIRS OR ADDITIONS REQUIRING A
 PERMIT OCCUR, OR WHERE ONE OR MORE SLEEPING ROOMS ARE
 ADDED OR CREATED IN EXISTING DWELLINGS, THE INDIVIDUAL
 DWELLING UNIT SHALL BE EQUIPPED WITH SMOKE ALARMS
 LOCATED AS REQUIRED FOR NEW DWELLINGS.
 9) DOOR AND WINDOW PRODUCT APPROVALS PROVIDED REQUIRE
 SHUTTERS - PLEASE PROVIDE THE COMPLETE MIAMI DADE OR
 FLORIDA STATE PRODUCT APPROVAL FOR THE SHUTTERS

 STATE PRODUCT APPROVAL FOR THE FLAT DECK ROOFING =
 PLEASE CIRCLE THE ROOFING SYSTEM TO BE USED IN THE
 PRODUCT APPROVAL - IF NEEDED PLEASE PROVIDE SIGNED AND
 SEALED ADDITIONAL ATTACHMENT DETAILS FROM AN ARCHITECT

 REVISE THE BUILDING PERMIT APPLICATION TO SHOW THE
