 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA

 A)PROVIDE COMPLETE OPENING FRAMING DETAIL FOR NEW
 OVERHEAD GARAGE DOOR AND NEW FRENCH DOORS IN THE GUEST
 SUITE. HEADER DETAIL ON SAME SHEET IS INCOMPLETE. IT
 DOESN'T SPECIFY ALL FRAMING MEMBERS SIZES AND
 CONNECTORS. PROVIDE COMPLETE INFORMATION. SEC. 504 AND
 SEC. 506 FBC-EXISTING BUILDING. SEC. R601.2
 FBC-RESIDENTIAL.
  
 RESPONSE:
 HEADER DETAIL STILL INCOMPLETE. IT DOESN'T SHOW HOW THE
 LOADS ARE TRANSFERRED AS REQUIRED BY SEC. R601.2
 FBC-RESIDENTIAL. IT DOESN'T SPECIFY HOW THE 2X4 STUDS
 ARE FASTENED TO TRANSFER THE LOADS TO THE FLOOR AND
 CONSEQUENTLY TO THE FOOTING. THEE IS NOT CONNECTION
 SPECIFIED AT THE BOTTOM. ALSO, PROVIDE SPECIFIC
 SPECIFICATIONS FOR ALL THE STRAPS CONNECTING THE
 RAFTERS AND THE STUDS TO THE HEADER. SEC. 107.2.1 CITY
 AMENDMENTS.

 SPECIFY HOW PROVIDING HEAT TO THE NEW GUEST SUITE.
 SEC. 504 AND SEC. 506 FBC-EXISTING BUILDING.
  
 RESPONSE:
 ARCHITECT'S RESPONSE LETTER STATES THAT "NO NEW GUEST
 SUITE- ALL EXISTING ROOMS, ONLY LABEL CHANGE".
 ACCORDING TO CITY RECORDS AND PALM BEACH PROPERTY
 APPRAISER, THIS STRUCTURE IS A GARAGE. THERE ARE NO
 CITY RECORDS FOR THE CONVERSION OF GARAGE TO ANY OTHER
 USE. THEREFORE, THIS IS CONSIDERED A PARTIAL CHANGE OF
 USE WHERE HALF OF THE GARAGE IS CHANGED TO LIVABLE
 SPACE. "ONLY A LABEL CHANGE" DOESN'T MAKE IT COMPLAINT.
 THAT IS WHY ALL THE COMMENTS ARE BASED ON THE PROPOSED
 USE. NEED TO SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH THE HEATING
 REQUIREMENTS.
  
 NEW COMMENT:
 PLANS WERE REVISED. NEW GARAGE FLOOR PLAN SHOWS A DOOR
 LEADING FROM THE GARAGE TO THE GUEST SUITE. THIS IS NOT
 ALLOWED. SEC. R302.5.1 FBC-RESIDENTIAL. REVISE AS
 REQUIRED.
  
  
 3- PLEASE SUBMIT A SEPARATE PERMIT APPLICATION FOR THE
 SEPARATE GARAGE/GUEST SUITE BUILDING. SAME PLANS CAN BE
 USED. SEPARATE PERMIT APPLICATIONS HELP TO COORDINATE
 INSPECTIONS FOR EACH BUILDING AND TO FACILITATE RECORDS
 RETENTION. SEC. 107.2.1.3 CITY AMENDMENTS.
 NOTE: PLEASE CONTACT ME TO EXPLAIN THIS. I CAN MAKE A
 COPY OF THE PERMIT APPLICATION TO GENERATE A NEW PERMIT
 NUMBER.
 THE IMPORTANT ISSUE OVER HERE IS FOR CONTRACTOR TO BE
 AWARE THAT THERE IS A SEPARATE PERMIT NUMBER FOR EACH
 STRUCTURE. THIS IS IMPORTANT WHEN CALLING FOR
 INSPECTIONS.
  
 RESPONSE:
 ARCHITECT'S RESPONSE LETTER STATES THAT "OWNER DELETED
 ALL WORK IN THE GARAGE (EXCEPT NEW OH DOOR ON THE NORTH
 ELEVATION)".
 A SEPARATE PERMIT APPLICATION STILL REQUIRED. THERE IS
 A PARTIAL CHANGE OF USE IN THIS STRUCTURE. SEE RESPONSE
 TO COMMENT #2 ABOVE.
  
 4- PROVIDE PRODUCT APPROVAL AS REQUIRED BY FAC
 61G20-3.001 FOR:
 (NOTE: THIS MAY BE SUBMITTED LATER AS A DEFERRED
 SUBMITTAL. PROVIDE COMPLETE INFORMATION PRIOR TO
 INSTALLATION TO AVOID CONFLICTS/DELAYS. ALL PRODUCT
 APPROVALS NEED TO BE APPROVED IN WRITING BY DESIGNER OF
