 CODE: FBC 6TH EDITION (2017) AND CITY AMENDMENTS.
  
 NOTE: SEC. 801.3 FBC-EXISTING BUILDING. ALL NEW
 CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND SPACES
 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE.
  
 ORIGINAL COMMENT:
 1- PROPOSED PARKING SPACES WITH CAR CHARGES DON'T
 PROVIDE ANY INFORMATION SHOWING COMPLIANCE WITH THE FBC
 ACCESSIBILITY CODE. IS THERE ANY PARKING SPACE WITH A
 CAR CHARGER ASSIGNED FOR HANDICAPPED PEOPLE?. IS THERE
 ANY SPACE VAN ACCESSIBLE?.
 SEC. 504 FBC-EXISTING BUILDING. SEC. 806 FBC-EXISTING
 BUILDING. SEC. 202.3 FBC-ACCESSIBILITY AND SEC. 103
 FBC-ACCESSIBILITY.
  
 RESPONSE:
 ARCHITECT'S RESPONSE LETTER AND FLOOR PLANS WERE
 PRESENTED TO ROBERT BROWN (BUILDING OFFICIAL) FOR
 APPROVAL. IT WAS NOT APPROVED. THE LETTER AND THE PLANS
 SUBMITTED DON'T PROVIDE THE INFORMATION REQUESTED BY
 ROBERT BROWN WHEN I FIRST SHOW HIM THE PROPOSED
 ALTERATION FOR BUILDING OFFICIAL INTERPRETATION. I
 DISCUSSED ROBERT BROWN'S INTERPRETATION WITH VALENTINA
 LEONI FROM MARMOL RADZINER AIA OVER THE PHONE. I
 INFORMED HER THAT ROBERT BROWN WOULD APPROVE THE
 PROPOSED "STORAGE ONLY" PARKING SPACES WITHOUT HAVING A
 DEDICATED ADA SPACE IF THE PLANS AND A LETTER FROM
 LUCID MOTORS CLEARLY SHOW HOW THE SPACES WERE
 CONTROLLED TO AVOID USE BY THE GENERAL PUBLIC OR LUCID
 MOTORS CLIENTS IF THEY ARE IN THE AREA AND ARE IN NEED
 OF CHARGING THEIR CARS. INFORMATION SUBMITTED DOESN'T
 SHOW CONTROL OF THESE SPACES.
  
 WHEN RESUBMITTING, A TRANSMITTAL LETTER LISTING THE
 ORIGINAL REVIEW COMMENT NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF
 THE REVISION MADE, IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR
 SPECIFICATION PAGE WHERE THE CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL
 HELP TO EXPEDITE YOUR PERMIT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR
 ANTICIPATED COOPERATION.
