 2017 EXISTING BUILDING CODE. 801.3 COMPLIANCE. ALL NEW
 CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND SPACES
 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 1) SHEET A-1:
 1A) THE INDEX OF DRAWINGS INDICATES THERE IS A DEMO
 SHEET WHICH IS NOT IN THIS SET OF PLANS. PART OF THE
 PLAN REVIEW EXERCISE IS TO SEE WHAT IS EXISTING AND
 WHAT IS TO BE DEMOLISHED. 107.2.1.2 ADDITIONAL
 INFORMATION REQUIRED. THERE IS A DISCREPANCY IN THE
 SUBMITTED PLAN SET AND INDEX.
  
 1B) UNDER THE HEADING OF BUILDING BASICS THE PLANS
 STATE ALTERATION LEVEL L11- PRESCRIPTIVE COMPLIANCE
 METHOD (301.1.1). I?M NOT SURE WHAT METHOD IS BEING
 CONVEYED?
 PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A PARTIAL CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY FROM
 AN A-4 INDOOR SPORTING EVENTS WITH SPECTATOR SEATING TO
 E, EDUCATIONAL. PLEASE REVIEW THE SCOPING REQUIREMENTS
 IN THE 2017 EXISTING BUILDING CODE 101.2 THE EXCEPTION.
 PLEASE BE AWARE OF THE 2017 FBC-EXISTING BUILDING CODE
 SCOPING REQUIREMENTS AND THE EXCEPTION FOUND UNDER
 SECTION 101.2. EXCEPTION: 2.
 EXCEPTION 2 DOES NOT ALLOW THE USE OF THE EXISTING
 BUILDING CODE; IT REFERS YOU BACK TO THE BUILDING CODE
 FOR NEW CONSTRUCTION. FOR THE PURPOSE OF PUBLIC
 EDUCATIONAL FACILITIES AND STATE LICENSED FACILITIES
 (CHARTER SCHOOLS, PRIVATE SCHOOLS), SEE CHAPTER 4,
 SPECIAL OCCUPANCIES, OF THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE,
 BUILDING.
 SECTION 468.1 IS FOR FLORIDA?S PUBLIC AND PRIVATE
 SCHOOLS, COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES. THERE IS NO
 EXISTING BUILDING CODE TO GO BY UNDER SPECIAL
 OCCUPANCIES FOUND IN CHAPTER 4. IN THE 2017FBC-B
 SECTION 468.1 SCOPING DEALS WITH FLORIDA?S PUBLIC,
 PRIVATE SCHOOLS, COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES.
  
 1C) THERE IS NOT ENOUGH INFORMATION ON THE PLAN TO
 DETERMINE CODE COMPLIANCE FOR CODE COMPLIANCE FOR THE
 REQUIRED NUMBER OF FIXTURES REQUIRED UNDER THE 2017
 FBC-B TABLE 2902.1 FOR EDUCATION.
  
 1D) PLEASE SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH THE 2017 FBC-B SECTION
 468.5.2 TEACHERS TOILETS. FACILITIES AND STAFF TOILETS
 SHALL BE SEPARATE FROM STUDENT TOILETS.
  
 1E) THE PLANS DO NOT INDICATE WHAT AGE GROUP OF
 CHILDREN ARE GOING TO OCCUPY THE NEW ROOMS? ARE ANY OF
 THE NEW ROOMS ALSO GOING TO BE USED FOR AFTER SCHOOL
 CARE AND WHAT AGE OF THE CHILDREN IN THE AFTER-SCHOOL
 PROGRAM? WILL THERE BE ANY DAYCARE, PRE-KINDERGARTEN OR
 KINDERGARTEN IN THE PROPOSE NEW CLASSROOMS? ADDITIONAL
 INFORMATION IS REQUIRED TO BE ABLE TO DO A THOROUGH
 REVIEW OF THESE PLANS. 107.2.1.2.
  
 1F) SHEET A-1 SHOWS STORAGE CLOSETS FOR CHAIRS PLEASE
 PROVIDE THE TOTAL STORAGE CLOSET AREAS TO SEE IF THEY
 ARE OVER 10% OF THE FLOOR PLAN FOR THE BUILDING, THEN
 THEY WOULD BE A SEPARATE STORAGE OCCUPANCY. IF NOT THEN
 THE WALLS OF THE STORAGE CLOSETS MUST SHOW COMPLIANCE
 WITH 509.4.2 AND DEMONSTRATE CONSTRUCTION CAPABLE OF
 RESISTING SMOKE. WALLS SHALL EXTEND FROM FLOOR LEVEL TO
 THE UNDERSIDE OF THE ROOF SHEATHING, DECK OR SLAB
 ABOVE. IT APPEARS THE DETAILS ON SHEET A-4 DO NOT SHOW
 COMPLIANCE.
  
 1G) SHEET A-1 THE 4 NEW CHAIR STORAGE ROOMS AND DOORS
 7, 8, 9 & 10. THE DOOR SCHEDULE FOR HARDWARE LIST A
 LOCKSET AND ASTRAGAL. PLEASE REFER TO THE 2017 FBC-B
 SECTION 509.4.2 PROTECTION. DOORS SHALL BE SELF-CLOSING
 OR AUTOMATIC CLOSING UPON DETECTION OF SMOKE IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 716.5.9.3.
  
 1H) SHEET A-1 AS WELL AS M-1 SHOW A RAISED PLATFORM.
 SHEET A-1 STATES FUTURE RAISED PLATFORM. EITHER REMOVE
 THE RAISED PLATFORM OR PROVIDE THE DETAILS AS TO OW THE
 RAISED PLATFORM WILL BE BUILT. WE WILL ALSO NEED
 DETAILS OF THE ACCESSIBLE RAMP, STAIRS, LOADING FOR
 BOTH THE STAIRS, RAMP AND PLATFORM, HANDRAIL/ GUARDRAIL
 SYSTEMS. 107.2.1.2. MISSING INFORMATION, ADDITIONAL
 INFORMATION IS REQUIRED.
  
 2) A TRANSMITTAL LETTER LISTING THE ORIGINAL REVIEW
 COMMENT NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE REVISION
 MADE, IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION PAGE WHERE
 THE CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL HELP TO EXPEDITE YOUR
 PERMIT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ANTICIPATED COOPERATION.
  
 A THOROUGH REVIEW OF THE PLANS COULD NOT HAPPEN SINCE
 THERE WAS A GREAT DEFICIENCY IN PLANS AND REQUIRED
 DOCUMENTATION. WITH THE NEXT PLAN REVIEW CYCLE THERE
 MAYBE ADDITIONAL REVIEW COMMENTS BECAUSE OF NEW PLANS
 AND INFORMATION LACKING UNDER THE PRIOR REVIEW.
