 MARSHAL, WITH THE FOLLOWING COMMENTS:
  
  
 1) SHEET A 1.0 - THERE ARE INDICATIONS OF EXISTING EXIT
 DOORS LEADING OUT INTO THE NEW PATION; HOWEVER, THERE
 ARE ONLY TWO EXIT DOORS FROM THE NEW PATIO.
  
 PER NFPA 101, CH 7 MEANS OF EGRESS
  
 7.3.1 OCCUPANT LOAD.
 7.3.1.1 SUFFICIENT CAPACITY.
 7.3.1.1.1 THE TOTAL CAPACITY OF THE MEANS OF EGRESS FOR
 ANY STORY,
 BALCONY, TIER, OR OTHER OCCUPIED SPACE SHALL BE
 SUFFICIENT FOR THE
 OCCUPANT LOAD THEREOF
  
 7.3.1.1.2 FOR OTHER THAN EXISTING MEANS OF EGRESS,
 WHERE MORE
 THAN ONE MEANS OF EGRESS IS REQUIRED, THE MEANS OF
 EGRESS SHALL BE
 OF SUCH WIDTH AND CAPACITY THAT THE LOSS OF ANY ONE
 MEANS OF
 EGRESS LEAVES AVAILABLE NOT LESS THAN 50 PERCENT OF THE
 REQUIRED
 CAPACITY.
  
 PLEASE PROVIDE A REVIEW OF THE EXISTING OCCUPANCY EGESS
 LOADS AND NEW OCCUPANCY LOADS AND INDICATE THAT THAT
 THESE TWO NEW PATIO DOORS PROVIDE THE REQUIRED EGRESS
 WIDTH FROM THE EXISITNG BUILDING AS WELL AS THE
 INCREASE OF THE NEW PATIO.

 LEADING DOWN FROM A SINGLE PATIO DOOR.
  
 PER NFPA 101, CH 7
  
 7.3.3* EGRESS CAPACITY.
 7.3.3.1 EGRESS CAPACITY FOR APPROVED COMPONENTS OF
 MEANS OF
 EGRESS SHALL BE BASED ON THE CAPACITY FACTORS SHOWN IN
 TABLE
 7.3.3.1, UNLESS OTHERWISE PROVIDED IN 7.3.3.2.
  
 PER THE SAME INFORMATION OF THE ABOVE COMMENT, PLEASE
 PROVIDE DETAILS THAT THIS STAIRWAY MEETS THE EGRESS
 REQUIREMENTS FOR THE COMBINED OCCUPANCY TOTALS.
  
  
  
 2) THERE ARE NO INDICATIONS OF AN EXISTING FIRE
 SPRINKLER OR FIRE ALARM SYSTEM. WITH THE CREATION OF
 THIS NEW OCCUPIABLE INDOOR SPACE, THE LIFE SAFETY
 SYSTEMS SHALL BE EXTENDED.

 4.6.7 BUILDING REHABILITATION.
 4.6.7.1 REHABILITATION WORK ON EXISTING BUILDINGS SHALL
 BE
 CLASSIFIED AS ONE OF THE FOLLOWING WORK CATEGORIES IN
 ACCORDANCE
 WITH 43.2.2.1:
 (1) REPAIR
 (2) RENOVATION
 (3) MODIFICATION
 (4) RECONSTRUCTION
 (5) CHANGE OF USE OR OCCUPANCY CLASSIFICATION
 (6) ADDITION
  
 43.8.3 FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEMS. IN OTHER THAN ONE- AND
 TWOFAMILY
 DWELLINGS, EXISTING COMPARTMENT AREAS WITHOUT AN
 APPROVED SEPARATION FROM THE ADDITION SHALL BE
 PROTECTED BY AN
 APPROVED AUTOMATIC SPRINKLER SYSTEM WHERE THE COMBINED
 AREAS
 WOULD BE REQUIRED TO BE SPRINKLERED BY THE PROVISIONS
 APPLICABLE
 TO NEW CONSTRUCTION FOR THE OCCUPANCY.
  
 PLEASE PROVIDE DETAILS, CORRECT OR JUSTIFY WITH
 SPECIFIC CODE REFERENCES AND NARRATIVE.
  
 ANY WORK ON THE FIRE SPRINKLER AND FIRE ALARM SYSTEMS
 SHALL BE DONE UNDER SEPARATE PERMITS AND SHOP DRAWINGS.
  
 PLEASE PROVIDE AN APPLICABLE NOTE OF ACKNOWLEDGEMENT.
  
  
  
 3) WHEN RESUBMITTING, PLEASE PROVIDE PLAN SHEET
 REVISION CLOUDS OR NUMBERED NARRATIVE RESPONSES TO THE
 ABOVE.
  
  
 4) ADDITIONAL COMMENTS MAY BE PROVIDED ON THE
 RE-SUBMITTAL OF THE ABOVE.
