 2017 EXISTING BUILDING CODE. 801.3 COMPLIANCE. ALL NEW
 CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND SPACES
 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 1) THE SUBMITTED CONTRACT VALUE OF $185,482.00 IS FOR
 LABOR AND MATERIALS FOR THE PROJECT AS SEEN IN THE
 CONTRACT. WHAT THE CONTRACT DOES NOT INCLUDE IS THE
 DESIGN TEAM CONTRACT WITH THE OWNER. THIS VALUE IS ALSO
 TO BE INCLUDED IN THE TOTAL COST OF THE PROJECT.
 2017 WEST PALM BEACH AMENDMENTS TO THE FLORIDA BUILDING
 CODE, CHAPTER 1, ADMINISTRATIVE CODE SECTION 109.3*
 BUILDING PERMIT VALUATION. IF, IN THE OPINION OF THE
 BUILDING OFFICIAL, THE CLAIMED VALUATION OF BUILDING,
 ALTERATION, STRUCTURE, ELECTRICAL, GAS, MECHANICAL, OR
 PLUMBING SYSTEMS APPEARS TO BE UNDER ESTIMATED ON THE
 APPLICATION, THE PERMIT SHALL BE DENIED. FOR PERMITTING
 PURPOSES, VALUATION OF BUILDINGS AND SYSTEMS SHALL BE
 TOTAL REPLACEMENT PURPOSES, VALUATION OF BUILDINGS AND
 SYSTEMS SHALL BE THE TOTAL REPLACEMENT VALUE TO INCLUDE
 STRUCTURAL, ELECTRICAL, PLUMBING, MECHANICAL, INTERIOR
 FINISHES, NORMAL SITE WORK (EXCAVATION AND BACKFILL FOR

 THIS MAIN BUILDING PERMIT WILL INCLUDE THE FEES FOR THE
 MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL, PLUMBING & ROOFING PERMITS.
 WHEN THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR COMES IN FOR A BUILDING
 PERMIT WITH THE SIGNED PERMIT APPLICATION FORM BY THE
 QUALIFIER AND OWNER AND BRINGS IN THE LISTED
 SUB-PERMITS M-E-P & ROOFING PERMITS SIGNED BY THE
 QUALIFIER OF EACH COMPANY, THEIR INSURANCES AND
 LICENSURE UP TO DATE, THE M-E-P AND ROOFING PERMITS ARE
 FREE OF CHARGE. IF THE M-E-P & ROOFING PERMITS COME IN
 LATER THERE WILL BE AN $80.00 ADMINISTRATIVE FEE FOR
 EACH PERMIT.

 2A)LAST KNOWN USE FOR THIS BUILDING? WE HAVE NO
 LICENSING FOR THIS BUILDING AND PALM BEACH COUNTY DOES
 NOT EVEN HAVE THE BACK BUILDING ON THE TAX ROLES! ONLY
 THE FRONT BUILDING. THE LEVEL II ALTERATION DOES NOT
 FIT AS WELL AS LEVEL III LIMITED STRUCTURAL
 ALTERATIONS. 907.4.4 OF THE EXISTING BUILDING CODE.

 CODE. IT APPEARS WITH THE NOTES ON THE PLANS THE
 DESIGNER OF RECORD IS ALREADY TRYING TO COMPLY WITH
 SECTION 807.6 VOLUNTARY LATERAL FORCE RESISTING SYSTEM
 ALTERATIONS WITH THE ANCHORING OF THE ROOF FRAMING
 MEMBERS TO THE EXISTING TIE BEAM.
 2B) THIS BUILDING DOES QUALIFY AS A HISTORICAL
 BUILDING. HISTORIC PRESERVATION HAS ALREADY C COMMENTED
 THAT THE EXTERIOR OF THE BUILDING IS TO STAY BLOCK NO
 STUCCO. PLEASE PROVIDE HOW THE BLOCK WALL WILL BE
 DESIGNED AND CONSTRUCTED IN SUCH A MANNER AS TO PREVENT
 THE ACCUMULATION OF WATER WITHIN THE WALL ASSEMBLY BY

 DESIGNER OF RECORD PRIOR TO SUBMITTAL FOR
 JURISDICTIONAL APPROVAL.

 SUPERVISING AND REVIEWING ALL PROJECT DATA, REPORTS,

 5B) DELEGATED ENGINEERING. 61G15-30.003 ENGINEERING
 DOCUMENT CLASSIFICATION. FL 61G-15-30.006 (3) THE
 DELEGATED ENGINEER SHALL FORWARD THE DELEGATED
 ENGINEERING DOCUMENTS TO THE ENGINEER OF RECORD FOR
 REVIEW.
  
 5C) 107.3.4.2 DEFERRED SUBMITTALS. FOR THE PURPOSES OF
 THIS SECTION, DEFERRED SUBMITTALS ARE DEFINED AS THOSE
 PORTIONS OF THE DESIGN THAT ARE NOT SUBMITTED AT THE
 TIME OF THE APPLICATION AND THAT ARE TO BE SUBMITTED TO
 THE BUILDING OFFICIAL WITHIN A SPECIFIED PERIOD.
 DEFERRAL OF ANY SUBMITTAL ITEMS SHALL HAVE THE PRIOR
 APPROVAL OF THE BUILDING OFFICIAL. THE REGISTERED
 DESIGN PROFESSIONAL IN RESPONSIBLE CHARGE SHALL LIST
 THE DEFERRED SUBMITTALS ON THE CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS
 FOR REVIEW BY THE BUILDING OFFICIAL.
  
 DOCUMENTS FOR DEFERRED SUBMITTAL ITEMS SHALL BE
 SUBMITTED TO THE REGISTERED DESIGN PROFESSIONAL IN
 RESPONSIBLE CHARGE WHO SHALL REVIEW THEM AND FORWARD
 THEM TO THE BUILDING OFFICIAL WITH A NOTATION
 INDICATING THAT THE DEFERRED SUBMITTAL DOCUMENTS HAVE
 BEEN REVIEWED AND FOUND TO BE IN GENERAL CONFORMANCE TO
 THE DESIGN OF THE BUILDING. THE DEFERRED SUBMITTAL
 ITEMS SHALL NOT BE INSTALLED UNTIL THE DEFERRED
 SUBMITTAL DOCUMENTS HAVE BEEN APPROVED BY THE BUILDING
 OFFICIAL.
  
 6) IDENTIFY GLAZING/ MULLIONS. PLEASE IDENTIFY ON THE
 PRODUCT APPROVAL BEFORE SUBMITTING TO DESIGNER OF
 RECORD AND BEFORE SUBMISSION TO THE BUILDING
 DEPARTMENT. FOR ALL PRODUCTS WITH GLAZING, PLEASE
 IDENTIFY THE OPENING WIDTH & HEIGHT, TYPE OF GLAZING,
 MULLION SIZE, LENGTH IF UNREINFORCED OR REINFORCED
 INFORMATION IF REQUIRED, ATTACHMENTS AND ASSOCIATE
 PRESSURES FOR EACH OPENING SIZE. 2017 FBC-B 1405.13.1
 INSTALLATION. WINDOWS AND DOORS SHALL BE INSTALLED IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH APPROVED MANUFACTURER?S INSTRUCTIONS.
 FASTENER SIZE AND SPACING SHALL BE PROVIDED IN SUCH
 INSTRUCTIONS AND SHALL BE CALCULATED BASED ON MAXIMUM
 LOADS AND SPACING USED IN THE TESTS.
  
 7A) SHEET A-3 THE WEST ELEVATIONS SHOW THE OVERFLOW
 SCUPPERS AND COLLECTOR HEADS AS WELL AS THE SECONDARY
 EMERGENCY OVERFLOW DRAINS. PLEASE NOTE THAT BOTH THE
 OVERFLOW SCUPPERS AND SECONDARY OVERFLOW SCUPPERS ARE
 DEPICTED AT THE SAME HEIGHT. THE SECONDARY OVERFLOW
 SCUPPERS SHOULD BE IN COMPLIANCE WITH SECTION 1503.4.2
 OF THE FBC-B, 2 TO 4 INCHES HIGHER THAN THE OVERFLOWS.
  
 7B) THE SECOND ISSUE WITH THE EMERGENCY OVERFLOWS AS
 DRAWN IS THERE LOCATION. WHAT IS NOT VISIBLE ON THE
 VERTICAL PLAN IS THE CRICKETS BACK OF THE PROPOSED
 PARAPET. AT THE SHOWN HEIGHT THEY WILL BE BENEATH THE
 CRICKETS. 107.2.1.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION IS REQUIRED
 TO ACHIEVE CODE COMPLIANCE.
  
 7C) THE ROOF PLAN A2 SHOWS THE ROOF SLOPING TO THE WEST
 AND THE PROPOSED CRICKETS. WHAT THE ROOF DRAINAGE PLAN
 IS MISSING IS THE RAINFALL RATE TO CALCULATE THE
 DRAINAGE FOR THE SCUPPERS, AND SECONDARY EMERGENCY
 OVERFLOW SCUPPERS. 2017 FBC-B 1503.4 ROOF DRAINAGE AND
 DRAIN LEADERS AND CONDUCTORS SHALL BE SIZED IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH 1106 AND 1107 AS APPLICABLE OF THE
 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, PLUMBING, CHAPTER 11.
  
 7D) ROOF DOWN SPOUTS SHALL DISCHARGE AT LEAST 1 FOOT
 AWAY FROM THE STRUCTURE SIDEWALKS, WHETHER BY
 UNDERGROUND PIPING, TAIL EXTENSIONS OR SPLASH BLOCKS,
 2017 FBC-B 1503.7.
  
 8) A TRANSMITTAL LETTER LISTING THE ORIGINAL REVIEW
 COMMENT NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE REVISION
 MADE, IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION PAGE WHERE
 THE CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL HELP TO EXPEDITE YOUR
 PERMIT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ANTICIPATED COOPERATION.
  
 A THOROUGH REVIEW OF THE PLANS COULD NOT HAPPEN SINCE
 THERE WAS A GREAT DEFICIENCY IN PLANS AND REQUIRED
 DOCUMENTATION. WITH THE NEXT PLAN REVIEW CYCLE THERE
 MAYBE ADDITIONAL REVIEW COMMENTS BECAUSE OF NEW PLANS
 AND INFORMATION LACKING UNDER THE PRIOR REVIEW.
