 DOCUMENTS, IF A LOCAL GOVERNMENT FINDS IT NECESSARY, IN
 ORDER TO ENFORCE COMPLIANCE WITH THE FLORIDA BUILDING
 CODE AND ISSUE A PERMIT, TO REJECT DESIGN DOCUMENTS
 REQUIRED BY THE CODE THREE OR MORE TIMES FOR FAILURE TO
 CORRECT A CODE VIOLATION SPECIFICALLY AND CONTINUOUSLY
 NOTED IN EACH REJECTION, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO,
 EGRESS, FIRE PROTECTION, STRUCTURAL STABILITY, ENERGY,
 ACCESSIBILITY, LIGHTING, VENTILATION, ELECTRICAL,
 MECHANICAL, PLUMBING, AND GAS SYSTEMS, OR OTHER
 REQUIREMENTS IDENTIFIED BY RULE OF THE FLORIDA BUILDING
 COMMISSION ADOPTED PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 120, THE LOCAL
 GOVERNMENT SHALL IMPOSE, EACH TIME AFTER THE THIRD SUCH
 REVIEW THE PLANS ARE REJECTED FOR THAT CODE VIOLATION,
 A FEE OF FOUR TIMES THE AMOUNT OF THE PROPORTION OF THE
 PERMIT FEE ATTRIBUTED TO PLANS REVIEW.
 FOR THE 3RD REVIEW THERE WAS NO UPDATED TRANSMITTAL
 LETTER. A TRANSMITTAL LETTER LISTING THE ORIGINAL
 REVIEW COMMENT NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE
 REVISION MADE, IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION
 PAGE WHERE THE CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL HELP TO
 EXPEDITE YOUR PERMIT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ANTICIPATED
 COOPERATION.
  
 1) SEMI-COMPLIED/ DISPROPORTIONATE COST 202.4.1. THERE
 ARE STILL A FEW ACCESSIBILITY ISSUES WITH THE RESTROOMS
 SEE BELOW COMMENTS.
  
 1A) SHEET A-3. SEMI-COMPLIED. VERSION ONE OF THE PLANS
 INDICATES THE EXISTING EXECUTIVE RESTROOM. VERSION 2
 NOW STATES THAT THE CONVERTED EXECUTIVE RESTROOM IS AN
 EXISTING ADA RESTROOM, WHERE THE RESTROOM IN QUESTION
 IS THE 2ND REQUIRED ADA RESTROOM COMPLYING WITH
 FBC-ACCESSIBILITY SECTION 213.2EXCEPTION 4.
 THE FLOOR PLAN HAS THE WRITTEN WORDS TO REMOVE
 CABINETRY BUT THE PLANS DO NOT INDICATE THE CABINETS
 REMOVED.
  
 1A)(1) THE NEW PROPOSED ADA RESTROOM THE DETAIL DOES
 STATE (1) TO REMOVE THE EXISTING VERTICAL CABINET AND
 (2) RECONFIGURE EXISTING CABINET/ SINK PER REQUIRED ADA
 REQUIREMENTS SEE SHEET A-5. SHEET A-5 DOES SHOW
 ACCESSIBLE DETAILS BUT THERE IS NO OVERALL FLOOR PLAN
 DETAIL SHOWING THE SIZE OF THE CABINET WITH CLEAR FLOOR
 SPACE. SHEET A-3 SHOWS CABINETRY THAT NEEDS TO BE
 REMOVED TO SHOW CODE COMPLIANCE FOR THE REQUIRED CLEAR
 FLOOR SPACE FOR THE WATER CLOSET
 (CLEARANCES AT WATER CLOSETS. 604.3.1 CLEARANCE) AND
 MANEUVERING CLEARANCES OF 18 INCHES LATCH SIDE OF THE

 DETAILS, PLEASE NOTE THE GRAB BAR DETAILS ARE MEASURED
 FROM FINISH FLOOR TO CENTERLINE OF THE GRAB BAR. 2017
 FBC-ACCESSIBILITY CODE SECTION 609.4 POSITION OF GRAB
 BARS. GRAB BARS SHALL BE INSTALLED IN A HORIZONTAL
 POSITION, 33 INCHES MINIMUM AND 36 INCHES MAXIMUM ABOVE
 THE FINISH FLOOR MEASURED TO THE TOP OF THE GRIPPING
 SURFACE, NOT CENTERLINE. THERE IS A RANGE OF 3 INCHES
 THAT IS ACCEPTABLE, GRAB BARS ARE MEASURED AT TIME OF
 FINAL INSPECTIONS. WHEN GRAB BARS ARE INSTALLED AT THE
 36 INCH MEASUREMENT AND THEY ARE INSTALLED AT 36 INCHES
 TO THE CENTER LINE THEY ARE 3/4TH OF A INCH TO HIGH AND
 HAVE TO BE REINSTALLED, ON TILE WALLS WALL TILE ALSO
 HAS TO BE REPLACED BECAUSE OF THE WALL TILE WITH HOLES
 SHOWING.
  
 1D) THIS COMMENT DEALS WITH THE RESTROOMS THAT ARE
 BEING RECONFIGURED WILL NEED TO SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH:
 2017 FBC-B 1210.2.2. WALLS & PARTITIONS. THIS COMMENT
 IS A RESULT OF THE BUILDING OFFICIAL INTERPRETATION. IN
 RESTROOMS EPOXY PAINT IS NO LONGER CONSIDERED A SMOOTH
 HARD, NON-ABSORBENT SURFACE.
 WALLS & PARTITIONS WITHIN 2 FEET OF SERVICE SINKS,
 URINALS, AND WATER CLOSETS SHALL HAVE A SMOOTH, HARD,
 NON-ABSORBENT SURFACE TO A HEIGHT OF NOT LESS THAN 4
 FEET ABOVE THE FLOOR, EXCEPT FOR STRUCTURAL ELEMENTS,
 THE MATERIAL USED IN SUCH WALLS SHALL BE OF A TYPE THAT
 IS NOT ADVERSELY AFFECTED BY MOISTURE.
 2017 FBC-B 2509.1. WET AREAS. SHOWERS AND PUBLIC TOILET
 WALLS SHALL COMPLY WITH 1210.2.
 2017 FBC-B 1210.2. FINISH MATERIALS. WALLS, BASE,
 FLOORS AND PARTITIONS IN TOILET AND BATHROOMS SHALL
 COMPLY WITH SECTIONS 1210.1 THROUGH 1210.4.

 DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS, ADMINISTRATIVE CODE

 TYPE OF GLAZING, MULLION SIZE, LENGTH IF UNREINFORCED
 OR REINFORCED INFORMATION IF REQUIRED, ATTACHMENTS AND
 ASSOCIATE PRESSURES FOR EACH OPENING SIZE. 2017 FBC-B
 1405.13.1 INSTALLATION. WINDOWS AND DOORS SHALL BE
 INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH APPROVED MANUFACTURERS
 INSTRUCTIONS. FASTENER SIZE AND SPACING SHALL BE
 PROVIDED IN SUCH INSTRUCTIONS AND SHALL BE CALCULATED
 BASED ON MAXIMUM LOADS AND SPACING USED IN THE TESTS.
