 2017 EXISTING BUILDING CODE. 801.3 COMPLIANCE. ALL NEW
 CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND SPACES
 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 1) 2ND REQUEST.SHEET 1 A1.01. THE 2 EXISTING RESTROOMS
 ARE NOT DIMENSIONED. THEY MAY OR MAY NOT COMPLY WITH
 THE 2017 FBC-ACCESSIBILITY CODE SECTION CLEARANCES AT
 WATER CLOSETS. 604.3 CLEARANCE. CLEARANCES AROUND THE
 WATER CLOSETS AND IN TOILET COMPARTMENTS SHALL COMPLY
 WITH 604.3.
 604.3.1. SIZE. CLEARANCE AROUND A WATER CLOSET SHALL BE
 60 INCHES MINIMUM MEASURED PERPENDICULAR FROM THE SIDE
 WALL AND 56 INCHES MINIMUM PERPENDICULAR FROM THE REAR
 WALL. NOTE THE MINIMUM BACK WALL MEASUREMENT SHOULD BE
 7 FOOT 1 INCH.
  
 1A) UNDER THE 2017 EXISTING BUILDING CODE LEVEL II
 ALTERATIONS, SECTION 806.1 A BUILDING, FACILITY, OR
 ELEMENT THAT IS ALTERED SHALL COMPLY WITH THE
 PROVISIONS OF THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE- ACCESSIBILITY.
 IN THE ACCESSIBILITY CODE IT REFERS YOU TO
 DISPROPORTIONATE COST.
  
 1B) DISPROPORTIONATE COST. PLEASE REVIEW HOW YOU ARE TO
 MEET DISPROPORTIONATE COST. EITHER THE CONTRACTOR OR
 THE DESIGNER OF RECORD ON THEIR LETTERHEAD NEED TO SHOW
 HOW THEY ARE GOING TO SPEND THE 20% DISPROPORTIONATE
 FUNDS LISTED FOR EACH ELEMENT WHERE THE FUNDS ARE BEING
 SPENT AND IN THE ORDER LISTED IN SECTION 202.4.1
 DISPROPORTIONATE COST OF THE 2017 ACCESSIBILITY CODE.
 YOU MAY HAVE TO SPEND UP TO AN ADDITIONAL $9.000.00

 WRITING SURFACES. WHERE PROVIDED, CHECK WRITING
 SURFACES SHALL COMPLY WITH 902.3. 902.3HEIGHT. THE TOPS
 OF WORK SURFACES SHALL BE 28 INCHES (710 MM) MINIMUM
 AND 34 INCHES (865 MM) MAXIMUM ABOVE THE FINISH FLOOR
 OR GROUND.
 SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH THE ACCESS. CODE 305.5 POSITION.
 UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED, CLEAR FLOOR OR GROUND SPACE
 SHALL BE POSITIONED FOR EITHER A FORWARD OR PARALLEL
 APPROACH TO AN ELEMENT.
  
 2) NEW COMMENT. PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A CHANGE OF
 INTERPRETATION FROM THE BUILDING OFFICIAL ROBRT BROWN.
 EPOXY PAINTED SURFACES NO LONGER IS APPROVED AS A
 NON-ABSORBANT SURFACE FOR SERVICE SINKS, URINALS AND
 WATER CLOSETS.
 2017 FBC-B 1210.2.2. WALLS & PARTITIONS. WALLS &
 PARTITIONS WITHIN 2 FEET OF SERVICE SINKS, URINALS, AND
 WATER CLOSETS SHALL HAVE A SMOOTH, HARD, NON-ABSORBENT
 SURFACE TO A HEIGHT OF NOT LESS THAN 4 FEET ABOVE THE
 FLOOR, EXCEPT FOR STRUCTURAL ELEMENTS, THE MATERIAL
 USED IN SUCH WALLS SHALL BE OF A TYPE THAT IS NOT
 ADVERSELY AFFECTED BY MOISTURE.
  
 3) A TRANSMITTAL LETTER LISTING THE ORIGINAL REVIEW
 COMMENT NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE REVISION
 MADE, IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION PAGE WHERE
 THE CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL HELP TO EXPEDITE YOUR
 PERMIT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ANTICIPATED COOPERATION.
  
 A THOROUGH REVIEW OF THE PLANS COULD NOT HAPPEN SINCE
 THERE WAS A GREAT DEFICIENCY IN PLANS AND REQUIRED
 DOCUMENTATION. WITH THE NEXT PLAN REVIEW CYCLE THERE
 MAYBE ADDITIONAL REVIEW COMMENTS BECAUSE OF NEW PLANS
 AND INFORMATION LACKING UNDER THE PRIOR REVIEW.
