 ADMINISTRATION

 ACTION: DENIED
  
 1) THERE IS A DISCREPANCY IN OCCUPANCY CLASSIFICATION
 FOR THIS BUILDING. THE SITE PLAN SHEET LIST THE
 OCCUPANCIES AS INDUSTRIAL & BUSINESS WHEREAS THE LIFE
 SAFETY SHEET INDICATES THE OCCUPANCIES TO BE S2 STORAGE
 AND BUSINESS OCCUPANCY. 107.2.1.2. ADDITIONAL
 INFORMATION IS REQUIRED, DISCREPANCY IN PLANS.
  
 2) PLEASE PROVIDE A SURVEY, THERE SEEMS TO BE A PORTION
 OF THE PROPERTY IN AN A FLOOD ZONE. THE OTHER ISSUE IS
 THE LOCATION OF THE BUILDING AND CLOSENESS TO THE
 PROPERTY LINE AND COMPLIANCE WITH TABLE 602 OF THE 2017
 FBC-B. SHOW DISTANCES FROM PROPERTY LINES AND OTHER
 STRUCTURES AND OR PROPOSED STRUCTURES.
  
 3) THERE IS ALSO A DISCREPANCY IN THE TYPE OF MATERIAL
 THE REAR WALL IS TO BE CONSTRUCTED FROM. SHEET A-4.0
 HAS A NOTE BY THE BACK WALL DETAIL STATING THAT THE
 BACK WALL IS TO BE METAL SIDING BY THE BUILDING
 MANUFACTURER, TYPICAL. WHEREAS SHEET S-3.0 & S-4.0
 DETAILS A & B BOTH SHOW THE REAR WALL TO BE CONSTRUCTED
 AS A 12 INCH THICK CMU WALL AND COLUMN TYPE 2 ALSO
 BEING 12 INCHES THICK.
  
 4) THERE ARE NO STRUCTURAL SHEETS SUBMITTED FOR THE
 METAL FRAME BUILDING, SHOWING THE BUILDING ELEVATIONS
 WITH THE SPACING OF THE HORIZONTAL GIRTS AND PURLINS.
 COMPLIANCE WITH THE EXTERIOR WALL AND ROOF FASTENING
 SYSTEM CANNOT BE REVIEWED. THE MISSING INFORMATION THE
 PRODUCT APPROVAL FOR THE METAL EXTERIOR WALL SYSTEM AND
 METAL ROOF SYSTEM. WITHOUT THE PRODUCT APPROVALS BEING
 SUBMITTED, IDENTIFYING THE TYPE OF WALL AND ROOF PANELS
 BEING INSTALLED, WITH THEIR ALLOWABLE SPACING BETWEEN
 SUPPORTS (GIRTS & PURLINS) AND ASSOCIATED PRESSURES NO
 REVIEW FOR THE STRUCTURAL PORTION OF THE BUILDING CAN
 BE COMPLETED.
  
 5) BUILDINGS WITH WELDED OR BOLTED CONNECTIONS, THE
 CONTRACTOR IS REQUIRED TO PROVIDE WELD PROCEDURE
 SPECIFICATIONS & WELDER OPERATOR PERFORMANCE
 QUALIFICATION RECORDS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE REFERENCED
 STANDARDS AT TIME OF INSPECTION FOR FIELD WIELDING, ON
 THE JOB-SITE WIELDING. THIRD PARTY CERTIFICATION WILL
 BE REQUIRED.

 WHICH APPLICATION IS TO BE INSTALLED.

 JURISDICTIONAL APPROVAL.

 SUPERVISING AND REVIEWING ALL PROJECT DATA, REPORTS,
 SHOP DRAWINGS ETC..

 DELEGATED ENGINEER SHALL FORWARD THE DELEGATED

 7) THE OTHER UNKNOWN IS IF THE ENGINEER OF RECORD FOR
 THE METAL BUILDING MANUFACTURER HAS DESIGNED THE ROOF
 SYSTEM TO SECTION 2211.5 OF THE FBC-B AISI S210 OR AISI
 S 100? WITH A GREATER DEDUCTION IN PRESSURES ALONG WITH
 THE DEDUCTION FROM VULT TO VASD?
  
 8) ADA DETAILS SHEET ADA 1.1:
  
 8A) DETAIL 12 WATER CLOSET DETAIL DOES NOT PROVIDE THE
 HEIGHT OF THE GRAB BARS FROM FINISH FLOOR. 2017
 FBC-ACCESSIBILITY CODE SECTION 609.4 POSITION OF GRAB
 BARS. GRAB BARS SHALL BE INSTALLED IN A HORIZONTAL
 POSITION, 33 INCHES MINIMUM AND 36 INCHES MAXIMUM ABOVE
 THE FINISH FLOOR MEASURED TO THE TOP OF THE GRIPPING
 SURFACE, NOT CENTERLINE.
  
 8B) DETAIL # 13 THE DRINKING FOUNTAIN SHOWS THE HIGH/
 LOW DRINKING FOUNTAIN. THE BOTTOM OF THE LOWER DRINKING
 FOUNTAIN DOES MEET THE CODE REQUIREMENT OF NOT HIGHER
 THAN THE 27 INCHES WHEREAS THE HIGH FOUNTAIN IS WELL
 ABOVE THE REQUIRED 27 INCHES FROM FINISH FLOOR.
 2017 FBC-ACCESSIBILITY CODE SECTION, PROTRUDING OBJECTS
 307.2 PROTRUSION LIMITS 307.2. OBJECTS WITH LEADING
 EDGES MORE THAN 27 INCHES AND NOT MORE THAN 80 INCHES
 ABOVE THE FLOOR SHALL NOT PROTRUDE MORE THAN 4 INCHES
 HORIZONTALLY IN TO THE CIRCULATION PATH.
  
 9) 2017 ENERGY CODE SECTION C401.2 APPLICATION.
 COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS SHALL COMPLY WITH ONE OF THE
 FOLLOWING:
 3.1.THE REQUIREMENTS OF ANSI/ASHRAE/IESNA 90.1,
 EXCLUDING SECTION 9.4.1.1(G) OF THE STANDARD.
 3.2.THE REQUIREMENTS OF SECTIONS C402 THROUGH C405. IN
 ADDITION, COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS SHALL COMPLY WITH
 SECTION C406 AND TENANT SPACES SHALL COMPLY WITH
 SECTION C406.1.1.
 3.3.THE REQUIREMENTS OF SECTIONS C402.5, C403.2, C404,
 C405.2, C405.3, C405.5, C405.6 AND C407. THE BUILDING
 ENERGY COST SHALL BE EQUAL TO OR LESS THAN 85 PERCENT
 OF THE STANDARD REFERENCE DESIGN BUILDING.
  
 10) A TRANSMITTAL LETTER LISTING THE ORIGINAL REVIEW
 COMMENT NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE REVISION
 MADE, IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION PAGE WHERE
 THE CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL HELP TO EXPEDITE YOUR
 PERMIT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ANTICIPATED COOPERATION.
 A THOROUGH REVIEW OF THE PLANS COULD NOT HAPPEN SINCE
 THERE WAS A GREAT DEFICIENCY IN PLANS AND REQUIRED
 DOCUMENTATION. WITH THE NEXT PLAN REVIEW CYCLE THERE
 MAYBE ADDITIONAL REVIEW COMMENTS BECAUSE OF NEW PLANS
 AND INFORMATION LACKING UNDER THE PRIOR REVIEW.
