 1. A CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS (COA) APPLICATION
 IS REQUIRED. THIS APPLICATION WILL BE REVIEWED AT THE
 STAFF LEVEL. PLEASE SEND AN EMAIL TO
 [email protected] TO REQUEST THE APPLICATION. PLEASE
 SUBMIT ALL MATERIALS (SITE PLAN, FLOOR PLANS,
 ELEVATIONS, ETC) IN ADDITION TO WHAT IS REQUIRED UNDER
 ?WINDOWS: REPLACING ORIGINAL OR SIGNIFICANT WINDOWS?.
 2. PROVIDE PHOTOGRAPHS THAT ILLUSTRATE THE EXISTING
 ELEVATIONS. EACH WINDOW SHALL BE LABELED. PLEASE SEND
 AN EMAIL TO [email protected] TO REQUEST A WINDOW
 PERMIT APPLICATION EXAMPLE.
 3. THE FOLLOWING ITEMS SHOULD BE ADDRESSED PRIOR TO
 SUBMITTING A COA APPLICATION.
 A) THE SHOWN DECORATIVE RAILING ON THE NORTH ELEVATION
 AND WEST ELEVATION SHALL BE MADE OF RAW IRON OR HAVE
 THE APPEARANCE.
 B) ILLUSTRATE THE LITE PATTERN FOR SECOND-STORY DOORS
 ON THE NORTH AND WEST ELEVATION.
 C) ILLUSTRATE THE APPEARANCE OF THE PROPOSED NORTH
 FRONT DOOR. THE PROPOSED DOOR IS NOT APPROPRIATE.
 D) THE REMOVABLE OF THE EAST SECOND-STORY WINDOW IS NOT
 APPROPRIATE. THE PAIRED WINDOWS MUST BE RETAINED.
 E) THE WEST ELEVATION ?BANDING? SHOWN IN THE MIDDLE
 DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE EXISTING. SUCH AN ALTERATION IS
 INAPPROPRIATE. REMOVE ENTIRELY.
 F) THE SLIDING GLASS DOOR IN THE SOUTH ELEVATION SHOULD
 BE REVISED TO A PAIRED FRENCH DOOR.
 G) PROVIDE ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDING WHAT IS
 CURRENTLY IN THE OPENINGS ON THE REAR OF THE WEST
 ELEVATION AND LEFT SOUTH ELEVATION WINDOWS WITH A FIXED
 FANLIGHT AND LARGE FIXED WINDOW. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
 SHOULD INCLUDE WHAT IS CURRENTLY EXISTING (INTERIOR
 PHOTOS IF OBSCURED FROM THE EXTERIOR) AND PHOTOGRAPH
 EVIDENCE THAT SHOWS THAT ARCH HAD A WINDOW PREVIOUSLY
 LOCATED.
  
 CURRENT PROPOSED CONDITIONS, SUBJECT TO CHANGE. STAFF
 RECOMMENDS THESE ITEMS BE INTERESTED IN THE PLANS.
 1. ALL EXTERIOR FRAMES SHALL HAVE WHITE OR BRONZE
 FINISH.
 2. THE FRONT AND SIDE SOLOMONIC COLUMNS SHALL BE
 MAINTAINED AND RETAINED. THE REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT OF
 THESE COLUMNS IS PROHIBITED. THE NEW WINDOWS MUST BE
 INSTALLED WITH THE COLUMNS IN PLACE.
 3. ALL WINDOWS SHALL BE SIZED TO FIT THE ORIGINAL
 WINDOW FRAME OPENING AND MATCH THE INSET/LOCATION/DEPTH
 OF THE ORIGINAL WINDOWS WITHIN THE WINDOW FRAME
 OPENING.
 4. THE EXISTING MULLION SHALL REMAIN OR BE REPLACED
 WITH A MULLION OF THE SAME WIDTH AND PLACEMENT. THE
 MULLIONS WITH A SOLOMONIC COLUMN MUST REMAIN.
