 CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND SPACES
 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 1) THE PERMIT APPLICATION INDICATES THIS PERMIT IS ONLY
 FOR A FOUNDATION FOR A NEW EXTERIOR STAIR? THERE ARE 16
 DRAWING THAT ARE MORE THAN THE FOUNDATION. PLEASE
 UPDATE THE DESCRIPTION OF WORK TO BE ACCOMPLISHED UNDER
 THIS PERMIT. 107.2.1.2. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION IS
 REQUIRED. THERE ARE NO DRAWINGSSHOWING A FOUNDATION.
  
 2) THE PLANS ARE SILENT AS TO THE USAGE OF THIS
 BUILDING (OCCUPANCY TYPE) AND HOW MANY RESIDENCES THERE
 ARE FOR THIS BUILDING AND FOR THIS PROPERTY, MULTIPLE
 BUILDINGS. THE LOADING DESIGN LIVE LOAD IS FOR A SINGLE
 FAMILY RESIDENCE WHERE AS THIS PROPERTY ON THE PALM
 BEACH COUNTY PROPERTY APPRAISERS OFFICE LIST THIS
 PROPERTY AS 6 DORMITORIES OWNED BY HOUSING CORPORATION
 OF THE PALM BEACH COUNTY A. R. C. PLEASE NOTE THERE IS
 NO BUSINESS TAX LICENSE FOR THIS FACILITY. WE COULD NOT
 SEE WHERE THERE HAS BEEN A CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY IN OUR
 RECORDS USING FILE NET.
  
 3) SHEET S.1 INDICATES THAT THE PROPOSED STAIRS ARE
 DESIGN CRITERIA ARE TO BE BUILT TO THE 2017 FBC-B HIGH
 VELOCITY HURRICANE ZONE. PLEASE NOTE THAT MIAMI-DADE &
 BROWARD COUNTIES ARE IN THE HIGH VELOCITY HURRICANE
 ZONE. PALM BEACH COUNTY AND THE CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH
 ARE LOCATED IN THE WIND-BORNE DEBRIS REGION, SEE
 DEFINITIONS (2) IN AREAS WHERE THE ULTIMATE DESIGN WIND
 SPEED IS 140 MPH OR GREATER.
  
 4A) PLEASE PROVIDE A FLOOR PLAN FOR THE 1ST FLOOR AND
 SECOND FLOOR AND ELEVATION DRAWINGS FOR THIS BUILDING.
 WHEN INSTALLING A NEW EXTERIOR STAIRWAY WE NEED TO SEE
 HOW THE MEANS OF EGRESS FOR THE 2ND FLOOR IS LAID OUT
 AND IF THE INTERIOR STAIRWAY IS AN ENCLOSED STAIRWAY.
 THE QUESTION ARISES WITH COMPLIANCE WITH THE 2017 FBC-B
 SECTIONS:
 1027.5 LOCATION
 1027.6 EXTERIOR EXIT STAIRWAY PROTECTION.
  
 4B) IT WOULD APPEAR THAT THIS IS A NEW EXTERIOR
 STAIRWAY NOT A REPLACEMENT STAIRWAY THERE WOULD BE A
 NEW OPENING THROUGH THE WALL, NO PLANS SUBMITTED FOR
 THE STRUCTURAL ALTERATIONTO EITHER A FRAME BUILDING OR
 CBS (CONCRETE, BLOCK & STEEL) TYPE OF CONSTRUCTION.

 TABLE 1607.1 (30) FOR OTHER THAN A SINGLE FAMILY
 RESIDENCE 100 PSF.
  
 5B) DISCREPANCY IN DETAILS E & F. THE OVERALL HEIGHT OF
 THE GUARDRAIL FROM THE LANDING IS NOT GIVEN. DETAIL E
 SHOWS THE MEASUREMENT FROM BOTTOM OF THE GUARDRAIL
 TAKEN AT AN L ANGLE NOT THE LANDING TO CENTERLINE OF
 THE TOP OF THE GUARDRAIL. IN DETAIL F THERE APPEARS THE
 BOTTOM MEASUREMENT IS TAKEN AT THE LANDING NO L ANGLE
 SHOWN, THIS WOULD PUT THE TOTAL HEIGHT AT 41 INCHES NOT

 BLANK/ BLACK. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION IS REQUIRED.
  
 6) WHEN RESUBMITTING PLANS PLEASE INDICATE THE REVISION
 & REMOVE ANY VOIDED SHEETS & REPLACE ANY PAGES AS
 NECESSARY. A TRANSMITTAL LETTER LISTING THE ORIGINAL
 REVIEW COMMENT NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE
 REVISION MADE, IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION
 PAGE WHERE THE CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL HELP TO
 EXPEDITE YOUR PERMIT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ANTICIPATED

 A THOROUGH REVIEW OF THE PLANS COULD NOT HAPPEN SINCE
 THERE WAS A GREAT DEFICIENCY IN PLANS AND REQUIRED
 DOCUMENTATION. WITH THE NEXT PLAN REVIEW CYCLE THERE
 MAYBE ADDITIONAL REVIEW COMMENTS BECAUSE OF NEW PLANS
 AND INFORMATION LACKING UNDER THE PRIOR REVIEW.
