 2017 EXISTING BUILDING CODE. 801.3 COMPLIANCE. ALL NEW
 CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND SPACES
 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 1) THE SUBMITTED PLANS DOES NOT HAVE DIGITAL SIGNATURE
 AND SEAL. ARCHITECT DIGITAL SIGNING & SEALING PLANS.
 61G1-16.005 PROCEDURES FOR DIGITALLY SIGNING AND
 SEALING AND FOR ELECTRONICALLY TRANSMITTING PLANS,
 SPECIFICATIONS, REPORTS OR OTHER DOCUMENTS.
  
 2) SHEET A2 INDICATES THE CONSTRUCTION TYPE AS TYPE II
 WHEREAS THE DESIGN PARAMETERS STATE THE BUILDING TYPE
 AS 1-A UNDER WHICH THE BUILDING WAS BUILT (10 STORY
 BUILDING). THE PROJECT DATA DOES NOT STATE IF THE
 BUILDING IS FIRE SPRINKLERED OR NOT. UNDER TODAY?S CODE
 2017 FBC-B THE CONSTRUCTION TYPE WOULD BE I-B. UNDER
 THE FORMER SOUTHERN BUILDING CODE AND 2001 FBC-B THE
 BUILDING TYPE WOULD HAVE BEEN II.
  
 3) SHEET A2 IN THE NOTES STATES ALL NEW FLOORING AND
 FLOOR INSULATION. FLOORING TBD (TO BE DETERMINED).
 BEFORE A THROUGH PLAN REVIEW CAN BE COMPLETED THE FLOOR
 FINISH MATERIAL MUST BE A KNOWN, TO BE ABLE TO
 DETERMINE THE CODE REQUIREMENTS.
 FLOOR INSULATION (FBC-B 2017)
 FOR TILE, STONE, MARBLE, AND WOOD FLOORING ALL NEED TO
 HAVE HAD THE SOUND UNDERLAYMENT TESTED FLOOR ASSEMBLIES
 TO THE FOLLOWING STANDARDS AND MEET THE QUALIFICATIONS
 LISTED UNDER EACH OF THE STANDARDS FOR A 6 INCH
 CONCRETE FLOOR ASSEMBLY/ NO DROPPED CEILING:
 PLEASE PROVIDE TEST REPORTS SHOWING COMPLIANCE WITH:
  
 TYPE I AND II BUILDINGS
 3A) FBC-B 2017 1207.3 STRUCTURE-BORNE SOUND.
 FLOOR/CEILING ASSEMBLIES BETWEEN DWELLING UNITS OR
 BETWEEN A DWELLING UNIT AND A PUBLIC OR SERVICE AREA
 WITHIN THE STRUCTURE SHALL HAVE AN IMPACT INSULATION
 CLASS (IIC) RATING OF NOT LESS THAN 50 (45 IF FIELD
 TESTED) WHEN TESTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E 492.
  
 3B) FBC-B 2017 1207.2 AIR-BORNE SOUND. WALLS,
 PARTITIONS AND FLOOR/CEILING ASSEMBLIES SEPARATING
 DWELLING UNITS FROM EACH OTHER OR FROM PUBLIC OR
 SERVICE AREAS SHALL HAVE A SOUND TRANSMISSION CLASS
 (STC) OF NOT LESS THAN 50 (45 IF FIELD TESTED) FOR
 AIR-BORNE NOISE WHEN TESTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E
 90.
  
 3C) FLAME SPREAD- FBC-B 2017 603.1. EXCEPTION 2.
 INSULATION INSTALLED BETWEEN A FINISHED FLOOR AND SOLID
 DECKING WITHOUT INTERVENING AIRSPACE SHALL BE ALLOWED
 TO HAVE A FLAME SPREAD INDEX OF NOT MORE THAN 200.
 FLAME SPREAD INDEX. A COMPARATIVE MEASURE, EXPRESSED AS
 A DIMENSIONLESS NUMBER, DERIVED FROM VISUAL
 MEASUREMENTS OF THE SPREAD OF FLAME VERSUS TIME FOR A
 MATERIAL TESTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E 84 OR UL 723.
  
 4) THE FLOOR PLAN INDICATES TO RAISE THE DROPPED
 CEILINGS IN THE DINING ROOM AND KITCHEN AS HIGH AS
 POSSIBLE. THERE IS NO CEILING FRAMING PLAN SHOWING THE
 SPAN, THE SIZE OF THE FRAMING MATERIAL, TYPE OF FRAMING
 MATERIAL, SPACING C/C, NOR IF THERE IS TO BE STRUCTURAL
 SUPPORTS MID-SPAN, ANCHOR TO THE SLAB ABOVE, ANCHOR
 EMBEDMENT OR THE TYPE AND THICKNESS OF THE FINISH
 MATERIAL.

 C754, GA-216 OR ASTM C840.
  
 5) WHEN RESUBMITTING PLANS PLEASE INDICATE THE REVISION
 & REMOVE ANY VOIDED SHEETS & REPLACE ANY PAGES AS
 NECESSARY. A TRANSMITTAL LETTER LISTING THE ORIGINAL
 REVIEW COMMENT NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE
 REVISION MADE, IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION
 PAGE WHERE THE CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL HELP TO
 EXPEDITE YOUR PERMIT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ANTICIPATED
 COOPERATION.
  
 A THOROUGH REVIEW OF THE PLANS COULD NOT HAPPEN SINCE
 THERE WAS A GREAT DEFICIENCY IN PLANS AND REQUIRED
 DOCUMENTATION. WITH THE NEXT PLAN REVIEW CYCLE THERE
 MAYBE ADDITIONAL REVIEW COMMENTS BECAUSE OF NEW PLANS
 AND INFORMATION LACKING UNDER THE PRIOR REVIEW.
